  1. I am not going anywhere except to Spamalot.

Hee, I love this. Thread title?

I would vote for that one!! :D

Loved the second segment this morning.... planning to make some more screenshots in a bit. :)

I have to admit I am a little concerned about this $700 billion bailout tho and watched most of the GMA coverage of it about the talks and meetings yesterday. mrchach has been working on this for over a week, I am not exactly sure what he's doing, but he's an economist for the .gov.

Here is a semi-comedic take on the whole economic situation, as reported by the son of a Clay Fan who works for a CBS affiliate in CA. Click on "Is There A Bright Side To The Bailout?"

Carry On.......... LONG LIVE THE CLAY!!! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

eta: couchie - can I get the pm with Jaymes's posts too please??

  2. My head is buzzing.

I haven't done a very good job of keeping up this week, but I've been reading everyone's posts and nodding along. Trying to read them at least. Especially Jaymes's long post that was linked here. Been skipping a few pages and scrolling a bit.

I don't think I am struggling with this, I just think I am weary. I really can't read the discussions of this for great legths of time, my eyes start to glaze over, and my fingers want to scroll.

I can't wait to see what happens next. If Clay can record an album, appear on Broadway, and produce a baby all at the same time during his last run, maybe he'll come up with a televised Christmas Special or something this time.

    One can always hope.....

    How about some screen shots??

  3. You know, I really love Clay. As much (almost) as my own kids. He has shown incredible courage, first by telling the truth, and then by thanking us for our support and love... and by loving us.

I have had dreams about Clay, I have even told him I loved him in the dreams, but it was always as a friend and not really sexual. I can still have fantasies about him tho... like while I'm in the shower?? That's a really good place for Clay fantasies. :D

I listen to "Lover All Alone" and to me it fairly screams to me that he knows, and he knows he can't keep it secret forever, that the loneliness will kill him. (metaphorically)

The lines in that song always made me think he was gay.

    Especially the line:

"For all I know the feeling and the picture

that I've tried so hard to find, isn't mine."

Anyhow, I'm proud to be one of his loyal fans, and I will love him forever and always.........

  4. Amazingly, I don't look nearly as much as like the Bride of Frankenstein this morning as I expected! :cryingwlaughter:

Kim, I see I have 25 days for my lovely blunt force trauma to heal. <_<

    Blunt force trauma, huh? So that's what it's called?? {{{Cotton}}}

I injured myself 6 weeks before my daughter's wedding in 2002, which gave me 30-some stitches in my forehed. I had to change my hairdo somwhat to cover it!

I started taking photos of me every day to document the changes, as my eye turned from black to purple to yellow and finally back to normal!!

I hope 25 days is enough time for you Cotton!! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

I'm in the camp where I don't really care to predict what Clay will do with his career, or give advice as to what he should have done.

I just want to enjoy and savor what he does.

  5. I just got home from NYC about half an hour ago......... had a fabulous time!!! Saw Play and Scarlett for about 5 minutes at the stage door on Friday. (I didn't get any good pix or vids after all)

Our Irish cousin went to see Equus and waited at the stage door for Dan Radcliff to come out. That wasn't over til after 11. We then went to Carmine's and sat at the bar for over an hour!! Then we had to get back to Grand Central and catch our train back to CT. chachaIrishcousin was staying with friends in Lower Manhattan, so we left her in the taxi outside Grand Central! We didn't get back to CT till almost 3 and it's was a half hour drive back to my friend's place from there.

Yesterday was a very low-key day...... we did some driving around CT and went to a couple small towns and had local food!! LOL

Two important tidbits to report from the Broadway Cares auction. I WAS THERE!!! And here are the two important tidbits....

The person who made the $10,000 bid for Clay's Package was NOT the person who will be going on the tour. She was bidding for someone else. She wouldn't reveal who it was, but I told her we had to have pictures!!!

Second tidbit.... As we were walking away from Shubert Alley down 44th St, we saw Jerome walking toward us. I stopped him and asked him if Clay was considering coming out at the auction as the "Special Guest" they mentioned. And he said "No. It was never us!" That made us feel better, because before then, we thought he might have shown up if they had just waited a couple more minutes. But that was not the case!

I have video......... you can have it tomorrow, cause I'm pooped!!!

:hello: to Play and Scarlett and ZENA!

    CLAY'S BACK!

    :nana: :nana: :nana:

OMG bottle!!! That is FAN-frickin-tastic!!! I love it!! Although it looks like Clay's has retro-fitted his granddaddy's pants again!!

I'm at my friend's house in CT, we got here about 3 am and just got movin' today!

What a great knight it was last knight!! Clay was ON!!! I just read his blog, and that explains why he was downplaying the role a bit last night. Tired and Sore!! :hysterical:

His eye-crossing during the bottle dance was CMSU! It's the first time I have seen it from the middle of the theatre, last time I had seats in the middle was in April and he didn't do that!! I can't imagine doing all that and keeping my eyes crossed for so long!! And he wagged his tongue from side to side with each corresponding leg! :hysterical:

I got a short video in which you can barely see Clay, but you can actually see him!!! Mostly when he turns to go back to the stage door. Then he ducked down and disappeared and I didn't know where he'd gone!! I'll prob get that up late late Sunday night or Monday, but by then there'll be probably a bunch more better vids out there! (prob are now, but I am 2-3 pages behind!)

After the stage door, we went over to the Equus stage door and they have a completely different setup over there! There were mobs of people waiting to see Dan Radcliffe, but he is so short, we couldn't see him. Their stage door opens right out to the street, so there were barricades making an aisle across the sidewalk and then they parked his SUV right across the opening. He came out, signed some auotgraphs, (we could only see flashes and cameras held up) and then got in the SUV and left!

It's a beautiful day here so we are getting ready to go outside and enjoy. More later!!

    :hello: to playbiller and Scarlett!

  7. Eeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhh, I just got the Gala info forwarded to me (cuz for some strange reason, Aron can't send me THESE emails...any other email, no problem!

    )

OMG, those auction items......!!!! Pleez, why wasn't I born rich?? OR beautiful??? :lmaosmiley-1:

This is going to be SOOOOOO fun!

  8. Do none of these people have cell phone cameras? What is the point of having one if you are only going to use your cell for phone calls?

I am way behind but heard all the gossip about the sightings and hand-holding and HAIR!!!

As for cell phone cameras....... I have one and have used it a few times, but the damn thing doesn't seem to want me to send it anywhere!! I keep getting an error message! I really need to go out and check on it at the AT&T store.

I've been busy this week with chachaIrishcousin who arrived on Monday from Houston (they finally opened the airport!).

Tuesday we 'did DC' -- started at the American Indian Museum, had lunch there, went onto to National Gallery and saw and bunof Monets, gaugins, and Van Goghs, then went to see the Hope Diamond and the Harry Winston Exhibit at the Smithsonian. From there we went to the Kenndy Center and saw some people play Arabic music. We ended up in Arlington having beer and fish & chips with all the girls and one SIL, retiring to chachadotter#3's porch for more beer afterwards. I was pooped!!

She is traveling to NYC with me tomorrow and maybe going to Spamalot. She seems to be a last minute kind of a gal! Is there a representin' list for FCA somewhere? Who's going tomorrow?

  9. off to the airport in a couple of hours to collect our Irish cousin. She finally made it out of Houston. Surprisingly, the flight is on time!! I was imagining a big mess over there.

Love all the Clay news and stuff this past week, but MOST OF ALL...

I LOVE THAT SPAMALOT IS LESS THAN FOUR DAYS AWAY!!

    BORROWING THIS.....

    :04: :04: :04: ANNABEAR!!!

:hugs-1: to all dealing with flooding and mess from IKE!!

  10. Technology has so changed disasters. Son just called from Houston to ask me to search the net to find any suggestions for what to do about a fish tank during a power outage! (Don't feed the fish!)

He also asked me to check CenterPoint Power's website to see if they had a map of outages or a timetable for power restoration.

Within 15min. I was able to call him back with the information.

lilyshine - could you share that info about the timetable for power restoration? I looked up the CenterPoint Energy web site but don't see anything about power restoration. Was there a timetable?

We have relatives in Houston who still have no power and I've heard it could be weeks. :o

There is also an Irish relative who was trying to get out to come here and needs to go to NY eventually to fly back home. Last report was that the airport is still closed.

    :thankyou: :F_05BL17blowkiss:

  11. Hi all - :hello: - been off the boards for a couple of days! I spent most of yesterday tracking IKE since mrchach's brother and family are in Houston, on the west side I discovered, away from Galveston Bay. One of their Irish cousins is there also, and has booked a flight to come here on Monday. Whether she makes it remains to be seen!!

I just got a message via Blackberry that their power is out and there's a tree blocking the driveway. They had the foresight to park a car at a local parking garage, so it's only a couple miles walk away!

:hugs-1: & :F_05BL17blowkiss: to all - especially those affected by the storm!

I hope it isn't two weeks to get your power back!!

  12. I've had too much real life lately and have been posting too rarely, but wanted to bring over something I linked at CV late last night. I simply found it interesting, given all the hoopla that Clay's TV themes interlude got at last year's SRHPT:

'Tis a pity that Clay wasn't available for this gig *g*. He's a man ahead of his time.

    USA Today

Emmys, Josh Groban will salute TV theme songs

    By Bill Keveney, USA TODAY

LOS ANGELES — It's the story of a man named Groban, who is singing TV theme songs we all know.

In a musical tribute, singer Josh Groban will perform bits of memorable themes at the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards on ABC (Sept. 21, 8 ET/PT).

    [snip]

"Think how important they have been to the popular culture," he says. "You don't really hear the respect being given to these seemingly simple but memorable-forever themes."

It will be interesting to see what Groban does with this task. I can't quite see him doing "The Jeffersons" dance! *g*

Scarlett, that was indeed a thoughtful reminder about how everyone can help to make a difference. I hope you and our other Texans stay safe from Ike.

I try never to be maudlin about other people's opportunities that seem so right for Clay... but that??? ^ ^ ^ just sucks.

    Sigh.

not being maudlin either, but it seems kinda copycat to me. :D

can't see a chicken dance either... but did you see JG on Kimmel's video? (around 4:14 and at the end)

  13. OMG! I went to youtube to look for that and got totally sidetracked and forgot!!

I love Clay's look for that show, he looked totally DOPE!!

    Thanks ldyj!!

Here's something else that is really amazing......

An 18 month old that can READ!!

play - it's funny but I got temporarily mesmerized by watching that kid flip his coin, noticing that it's in the same speed as the ticking of the clock on the wall behind me!!

  14. liney - from one folder to another to listen?

Just hit the menu button and run your thumb around the little wheel.

When you find what you want, depress the center. Twice.

To change, hit the menu button again. Does that help?

Treansferring music from one folder to another is another whole set of details! :D

All's quiet here, we must be in the eye now.

So far we have power still, and nothing's blown over or away.

    :F_05BL17blowkiss:

Holy Crap what a picture!!! I don't know what to say about this except that they both appear to be feeling alright, and that Hannah's proud of it. I rather love this photo.

I second your reaction and add...WOW and GAH!!!

    ausdon!!

Rain has started in earnest now, apparently the worst is expected this afternoon.

As long as we don't lose power all will be OK.

I've stacked the deck furniture against the leeward rail (whatever that means... :))

and moved all the soakable things away from the sump pump well area!

mrchach sent me to the store yesterday for canned soup, fruit and fresh batteries.

    The hatches are battened!!

According to the reports the storm is in NC right now near Raleigh.

We are about 200 miles, and it's moving quickly or so they say.

It'll be in NJ this afternoon after it leaves here!

Isn't this thing going to run out of steam anytime soon??? :badmood:

Meanwhile.... I think I have some junk mail to shred! :partytime2:

since cotton hasn't checked in, they must have lost their power.

    I heard yesterday landfall would be around Oak Island. Hope all is well! {{{cotton}}}
