Ok don't know if I can explain this correctly...but Merrieee I get what you are saying about privacy. But for me, even better would be normalcy...as much as he can have as a celebrity. The whispers, secrets, hush hush and I knew it all the time and that makes me special that surrounds Clay is toxic. The ability to just walk around freely with a boyfriend, or his baby, or friends and family in an atmosphere of normal old SO WHAT is what I wish for him most of all.
eta: as normal as one can be with a big black man 5 steps away
I agree couchie.

Lotus - I enjoyed the Doghouse!!! That was really good - it reminds me of some of the times I wanted to put mrchach in there!!!
Loved the Smile in the sky photo too!! It's my new desktop - thanks!!!
Was it taken on the other side of the world???
Cause I got a frownie face!!
and while I'm posting pictures -- here's a pic of our Thanksgiving Dinner....
More Clay-related?????

OMG - slightly OT - I just saw Kim Locke on an infomercial - guess what it was for???
And guess who was hawking it!! None other than Dean the American Idol hair stylist.
If I had curly hair I might be tempted to get one
THE INSTYLER - Amazing Rotating Hot Roller Iron Hair Straightener

I don't care if he lied!
I don't care if he has character flaws!
I don't care if he dissed someone in a M&G!
I don't care if he did not pick a certain story!
I don't care if he changes his words from interview to interview!
Just sing to me, pretty boy and I'll folllow you to the ends of the earth & back!
as for whatever's going on outside of this board.... (which I know nothing about!)

Holy shit, I lie like a dog all the time.
I told my friend I was happy for her when she married a man in prison.
I told another friend I liked her soup (the one the dog wouldn't eat).
I told my sister I thought it was perfectly normal to wear a life jacket when driving over a bridge in their motor home just in case the motor home goes over the bridge and into the water.
I told my neighbor it was just fine that he left a toilet sitting in front of his driveway for 6 months.
Who the hell doesn't lie????
good one wanda!! Love the one about your sister!!!
And I told my girls that I was fine with them spending 6 weeks in Ecuador tracking bears last summer.
We do what we have to.
eta: I missed the OZ tree - what page is it posted on??

to everyone with car, TP, dental, or pizza woes!!
I have been MIA the past few days so am not caught up!
mrchach had his poker buddies over last night so I went out with chachadotter#1 & SIL for dinner and shopping.
Then we ended up watching "Pirates of the Carribean 2" until 2:00!
I got up at 8 to go bowling. I got roped into a bowling league subbing for my sister.
As of today I am now bowling 2 more times, Thurs and Tues!
My high score was 143; that was the first game, and it was all downhill from there!
I had to take a nap when I got home!
Sorry for rambling but I haven't seen the ET thing yet, I was too busy last night, so I hope there's a download somewhere!!
Oh yeah - the turkey breast I bought last Wed so we'd have "leftovers" is now in the oven! (Tomorrow was the sell-by date!)
It smells GOOD! Tomorrow I'm making a pmpkin pie and green bean casserole! We have almost run out of "leftovers!"
to all!

Clay thought he might get boo'ed on stage right after he first made his announcement? That makes my heart hurt.
It did mine too, for a bit...but it also made me want to "Jann Carl" him to a bit -- lightly smack him on the head! And then hug him.
*joining the hug line now*
Thanks for the video link!!! Now I don't have to watch it!! (that is all of it right?) Who knew?
I agree......
poor guy thinking he'd get booo'd
want to give him a hug
AND smack him on the head!!!!
LOVE HIM!!
I wasn't online much yesterday, had to help chachadooter#2 move (hopefully the last time I'll have to help her!)
but if anyone wants to see the Happy 30th Birthday Clay Page I made - HERE IT IS!
I made a new photo collage:

Oh, look, clayzycoffin has another random question.
Does anyone know which date is the "THEY WILL BE LOCKED" interview? I've downloaded about six interviews between Jimmy Kimmel and Jay Leno because I can't remember which one it is.
I love Clack, so it doesn't really matter how long it takes, I'd just like to have it... I've figured out how to do the screencaps (which is a major personal achievement) and I've been capping all sorts of funny Clay expressions. The "it's just not good" face, the "the turkey's been dead a while, Jay" face... I want to add the "THEY WILL BE LOCKED" face to my collection now.
clazy - when all else fails - look it up on youtube!!

Having just come back from my second viewing of Twilight, I have to say I think that "dude" is kinda hawt, yeah. And that Clay Aiken fella is all kinds of hawt, too. I really don't stress about makeup or hair at all. In fact, I often wonder wtf people are seeing becoss I have to go back and look again. He usually just looks great to me.
Thanks to all for bringing over the Spam reports. Less than two weeks until I'll be writing one!
I agree lucky! Robert Patinson was smokin hot in that movie!! After reading teh book and the casting choice I wasn't sure he'd be 'pretty' enough. But I loved it!!
I've only seen it once - I wanna go again!!
LOVE THIS!!!
One singular sensationEvery little step he takes.
One thrilling combination
Every move that he makes.
One smile and suddenly nobody else will do;
You know you'll never be lonely with you know who.
One moment in his presence
And you can forget the rest.
For the guy is second best
To none,
Son.
Ooooh! Sigh! Give him your attention.
Do...I...really have to mention?
He's the One?

I slept thru the parade. I was up til 4:30. Would have gotten to bed a bit sooner but chachadotter#1 and I had a little chat about time management. It was just supposed to be a joke about how she said all the stuff she was cooking was easy to do and ended up taking 5 hours. I just said, "next time, you might want to rethink that." Then she got all defensive and we ended up having a discussion about mothers and kids and expectations and reality, you know, all that sh--stuff. all in all it was good, no yelling. Kissed goodnight!
Anyhow, I'll have to wait for the clack! Thanks to dancermom and lucky for the screencap.
I agree about the hair and makeup - looks like he straight home last night and ran some product thru his hair this morning!
Well, I have to get dressed and make some creamed spinach!!
claytonic - those cookies are easy-peasy! They are choc-chip-covered marshmallows on top of upside-down fudge stripe cookies! You just melt the choc chips in the MW for a minute or so and use toothpicks to handle the marshmallows, then use icing for the buckle. I got the idea from this website, thinking the kids would like them today! SIL and mrchach liked them! (what's not to like!)
eta: OMG! When did I become an Executive Producer?? wooooooooooo hoooooooooooo!!!!1!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!

So, did anyone find out if Clay really did go back and do the second act of the show tonight??
Yes we are up. My #1 daughter has been crafting her Thankgiving dishes for the past 4-5 hours.
We drank some egg nog - with brandy - Christian Brothers.
I made some fun cookies.
-
That was just CUTE!!!!
-
justclay - sounds like you had the time of your life!!
That "Aiken Fog" will get you every time! It happened to me when I got my pic taken with him too. It was all over in 17 seconds!

Ok, I've always heard of mincemeat, but I have no idea what it is exactly.... I know Google is my friend, but anyone here care to enlighten me?
(from Wikipedia)Mincemeat is a mixture of chopped dried fruit, distilled spirits and spices, and sometimes beef suet, beef, or venison. Originally, mincemeat always contained meat. Many modern recipes contain beef suet, though vegetable shortening is sometimes used in its place. Mincemeat, and similar variants are found in the UK, Ireland, Brittany, northern Europe, as well as the United States and Canada.Back in the day when I used to do canning I used to make prune plum mincemeat which contained no animal products except butter in place of suet. It was very good and I've had some in which green tomatoes were used..also good. Mincemeat tarts for Christmas...mmm good!
back in the day - my friend Linda and I used to trade a jar of mincemeat back and forth for the Holidays.
Neither of us actually ever made a pie!!

Re: tagging things with label makers....
I have one of those Dymo Electronic Label Makers that uses that plastic film with a backing that peels off and then sticks. It's $30.00, but that sounds a lot cheaper than buying more pairs of glasses!
Clay's parts???
muski - I hope you get your tooth looked at soon - throbbing in a tooth is not good.
couchie - yaaay! for the crumpled $100 bill!

I'm loving all the videos today! And I gotta say...him talking about Parker just warms the cockles of my heart. He really does have so much to be thankful for this year. And I'm thankful for Clay being in my life...
OT HELP!!!! Is there anyone out there who can take a Word document (either Word 2003 or 2007) and save it into a jpg file? PWEEZE?!?!?!?

DITTO DITTO DITTO!!!! About all the news, videos, and happiness!~!!
About the Word to jpg thingie - how do you do that? Would someone please tell me how they plan to accomplish that?

{{{wanda}}} how stressful. Thank goodness it all worked out!
anna, belated congrats on getting all moved in again. Continued good thoughts for your mom.
jmh123, thanks for tracking down the link. Downloading now!
Argh, I had a horrible external hard drive accident this afternoon......the one I call "John" (hee, don't ask) fell off the desk, and when I went to plug it back in again (the cord came out) it wouldn't fit. Apparently, one of the pins in the connector bent. In the process of trying to straighten the pin out again, it fell out. So now, it will only stay on if you hold the wire in just a certain way. Ugh. No way am I going to trust it to house my clack. So I managed to hold it just so long enough to transfer all the files off it (YAY!) but now have no extra space left. Oh well, at least it all fit. Anyways, I went on the manufacturers site to see how much it would be to order a new power supply.....$10.......sounds reasonable.......get to the check out screen, and they wanted $90 USD to ship it. WTF? So much for that idea.
Why not buy and external case and move the harddrive over? Cheaper and you can buy it at staples?
or someone in the states could order it for you and mail it? Def less that $90!

muski - EGGPLANT????? woah!
jmh for the "blonde interview" - I had no idea it even existed!
wanda - glad you have your kitty back and still have Clay!!

For any of you
crazyfoolishsouthern people who wax poetic about snow.... my Jetta is under there somewhere. What happened to AUTUMN???Hee - this house at the end of my street is kind of pretty though.
It is pretty. And I do not miss having to remove that stuff from cars and walkways. At all.
Not caught up, but checking to see if my RoadRunner is working - it is! Thank you to all for the good wishes for me & my mom. We're just taking things one day at a time & will deal with whatever we have to, when we have to. In the mean time.....All moved into the condo, just trying to clear a path through the sea of boxes! Of course Clay helped - as soon as everything was loaded into the truck & I hopped into my car to lead the movers to my new place, I turned the radio on. OMWH, of course, was in the CD player and it randomly switched to the song, OMWH. I thought that was somewhat appropriate as I was on my way to my new home.
I love that OMWH came on. Yeah for your new place!! Continuing with the good wishes for mamabear.
Testing one two three Bwah. Merrieeee, your b is capitalized and for some reason a capital B and a ) will at you.
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR - snow!!! It's cold enough here without it, but I thik we might get some soon. (not today)
Went to see Twilight at the 12:01 Show on Thursday (midnight) - it was great!!! We just decided to go on the fly, about 11:40!! It was playing in 4 theatres at the multiplex, and 2 of them were sold out. We lucked out and got 4 seats together!! (me, mrchach, chachadotter#1, and SIL)
So....... about the -- if you put a space between the B and the ) it should look like a list item like you wanted..........
i.e.
B )
b )

My thought was to try what they do in The Amazing Race.
Flag a taxi and pay them to let you follow them to your destination.
But GPS units are good for that too!!! Even when they "Recalculate!!"

Charlie is also the Survivor member who is gay, and had claimed a few weeks ago, back when Survivor had just started, that he had been a friend of Clay Aiken's and had been chatting with him via IM.
He is a lawyer in NYC. I didn't realize that he and Randy were friends, it wasn't that evident from watching the show, I could not stand Randy! The way he was voted off was hilarious, tho. They played a trick on him and he thought he had a hidden immunity idol, played it, and it was fake!! It was Brilliant!!
There was an article somewhere about Charlie knowing Clay, but I don't think I saved the link.
