  1. You guys are killing me........ I'm still pages behind

AND I FEEL LIKE I'LL NEVER CATCH UP!!! :RedGuy:

It's Saturday and I slept in - I had a horrible dream involving Clay and I had to rush here to make sure everything was all right!!

HE BLOGGED! I LOVE HIM! (I almost got to love him in my dream... I recall being somewhat naked!!) :hubbahubba:

THE MESSAGE BOARD IS SHUT DOWN???? :scream:

I have a very low post count there too, 2-3, maybe 5 at the most!

I have been busy with the kids, last night we went to see Pirates of the Carribean. My oldest daughter and her hubby arrived here dressed in pirate gear, so we all had to scramble to find some head scarves and big earrings! Interestingly enough, the theatre was close to be full! The 6 of us had to split up and the kids all sat in teh 3rd row. Did I mention I love Johnny Depp too?? :medium-smiley-070:

Also - Paul McCartney's album was relesed 3 days ago and I d/l'd it from itunes yesterday. That led me to looking him up on youtube, which led me to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc-cZES0WqM and this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GgGQS7wcXE --- if you have time to watch them, they are two of my favorite peeps in the world, Paul McCartney and Johnny Carson together on the Tonight Show.

THE UNCANNY PART IS THEY BOTH REMINDED ME OF CLAY! In the first part Paul comes in and the audience reacts exactly like Clay fans do. And in the second part, another guest comes on, and the focus is still on Paul (mostly) and then he picks up the guitar that lying there, and does an impromptu song, sort of like the valentine candy song. It just seemed like Paul was Clay at an earlier time, or Clay is Paul at a later time or something.... I sure wish Clay would play the piano at least once on the summer tour!!!

    :F_05BL17blowkiss: :Tour3: :F_05BL17blowkiss:

HELP! I think I hit F12 or something and I have no borders or IE heading or anything! How do I get out out it!! I don't have a refresh button!!! Or an X!!!!!!! :scream: It's OK now, I hit the Windows button and right-clicked on the bottom to close the page........ :cryingwlaughter:

  2. OMG - I've been away for 5 days and I am hopelessly behind! TWELVE PAGES???? :scream:

So far I've heard he blogged twice and been in Vancouver singing for the Gov'nator again....

So, I hope to be able to catch up today, I tried last night but Dau#2 (back from school in SF) is here and wants to do a Harry Potter Movie Marathon! We started last night - late!

I like the new smileys!! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

    :DoClay::RedGuy:

  3. I was just looking at the new EW yesterday - has anyone mentioned how many times Clay is mentioned in the Quiz?? At least 4 or 5. And they picked his performance of BOTW as the 3rd best of all time. I also noticed that, for full impact, his name for #3 was on one page, and the picture that corresponded was on the next page. Taking this mag to the Jiffy Lube for an oil change to give it a good study... unless it's taking longer and then I will go to see Shrek at the theatre next door! (Will decide when I get there!)

That book I am reading is Walter Yetnikoff's Autobiography - here's what I gleaned from the text for relating to the recording business: Artist, Manager, Publicist, Producer, Distributor, Promoter, Multiplatnium.

Of course - you could get some inspiration from the title of the book too: It's "Star-Maker, Rule-Breaker, Drug-Taker. the true story of the MAD GENIUS of the music world. Howling at the Moon."

Love the pretty pictures!! off to Jiffy Lube!

  4. Thanks for the pretty pictures!

Does anyone know where I can get a high res version of this one?

    20050607144612-12619.jpg

Wasn't that the one that was displayed by the Hartford Symphony back in 2006?

I just checked - it's 300 dpi - but it's also only down to his waist. Sorry to disappoint!

Here's an interesting topic.... Paul McCartney's new album is on the Starbuck's label

(yes, I said STARBUCK'S) and it's also being promoted on the HOME SHOPPING NETWORK! If you click the link,

you'll see his picture right away and hear the song "Dance Tonight"!!

http://www.memoryalmostfull.com - go here to hear more or order the album!! It's supposed to be released on June 5th. [/psa]

    .. :F_05BL17blowkiss:

  5. Thoughts on YWT - I wasn't offended, and I was a little surprised about some peeps reactions to it, to be honest. I don't necessarily agree with the lyrics of the song, those are not necessarily my beliefs, altho they do echo the ones I was brought up on.

I do however, support Clay's right to perform whatever music he chooses. I have heard he is deeply religious, and altho I don't have firsthand knowledge that it is so, he actions somewhat indicate that it is.

YWT is a beautiful song and his "production" of it was befitting the character of the song. My personal feeling was that - aside from his religious views of the content of the song - that it was one he had 'always wanted to sing' - sort of like "Kyrie" was for the IT.

And he can just go on with his bad self and sing whatever songs he wants to at any and all of his concerts.

On another note, I was watched "Galaxy Quest" for the umpteenth time - I LOVE THAT MOVIE!

And ummmm....... I had a few glasses of wine while I was watching...... CARRY ON!!

    :allgood:

  6. I am hooked on UM - I always have been. The only thing that messes it up for me is when he missed the "neeeeeeeeeed" note. And he does that fairly often.

But speaking of favorites. I am compiling a page of JBT performances. Do y'all want to tell me some more of your faves? Please?? :F_05BL17blowkiss:

K'eh - have you thought of getting a wireless internet service that will work anywhere?

    here's a link to try: http://www.covadwireless.com/services-super-t.html

    It just might work!!

I was looking at the list of levels and thinking -- there can really be only one Chaiman & CEO...

but what about promoter? They're impo'tent. I am reading a book now about the recording industry...

Ooops - you also forgot Manager and ......... shoot - I had it a second ago...

I am still pages behind - still tired from the weekend company and it starts all over again tomorrow when my daughter arrives from SF and we travel to PA for more partying...

No rest for the weary. Be back... goin gto read that book a bit more and I'll hopefully come up with a couple more terms for us!!

    :me0: :whistling-1:

  7. Thanks for the JBT concert info...I'm trying to find the video clip from which this picture was captured:

    JBTDarienLakes1049cpants2.jpg

    never mind why....

Quoting just so's we can have this pic on the screen one more time.... :hubbahubba:

And muski - did you think of asking PermaSwooned about it?

I want to use this emoticon....... :new7:

but I don't have time to do anything to use it with!!

    maybe later in the week.....

    HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY EVERYONE!

my text color button doesn't do anything! why why?

  8. And how about them feet!

    bluesuede.jpg

HEY! Happy Feet!! Glad to see some peeps appreciate my works!

That was taken from the third row at Wolf Trap JBT - one of the best concert seats I've ever had...

    (more JBT/WT photos here)

I really should be cleaning, but the pretty keeps callin' me back!!

eta: I forgot to say to k'eh: gaaaahhhhhhh!

    :F_05BL17blowkiss:  :F_05BL17blowkiss:

    >~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~<~<~<~<~<~<~<~<~<~<

eAta: HEY! (again) I just noticed the link to my website on the main page!

ummm - ooops! wsn't the main page but still.....

    THANK YOU!!

    :nana: :nanas::goaround::hugs-1:

(I thought we had a "Thank You" smiley????)

  9. HF - Paul McCartney did a couple songs with hands - how about "Hands Across the Water"?

About the hair - the "wait 5 minutes and it will change" attitude is about how I view it. I can't get

all worked up about it, although there are times when I can't wait for that 5 minutes to be UP!!

I pretty much love it and wouldn't resist some flipping my way either!

:D "If I said I didn't like it, would you hold it against me?" :D

I wish Clay would have a new photo session already... isn't it about time?

Tour Books need to be printed! What is he waiting for?

    :Tour3: :F_05BL17blowkiss: :Tour3: :F_05BL17blowkiss: :Tour3:

  10. We aren't having a cookout till either tomorrow night or Monday. My hubby's uncle is coming in from Germany on Monday,

and 2 daughters and spouses are coming over Sunday to spend the night and help get ready. On Monday, MIL will drive over to

spend the night too, and then the two of them will be off to PA to BIL's on Tuesday morning. On Thursday, #2 daughter comes

home from school in SF and Fri the whole lot of us (9 in all) will head to PA for MIL's 80th BD on Saturday. If you think this sounds

like a busy time, it is.... but fairly typical of the way things go in this family! Hubby's other brother and family are coming from TX,

and this will be the first time all of us have been in the same place since their wedding 20 years ago!

We'll then have a whirlwind of activity because #2 daughter is home for 2-3 weeks, and then #1 & #2 daughter will be heading for

Ecuador to track bears in the Andes mountians for 5 weeks! This is something I'm trying to be very zen about!

    :allgood:

So I guess I won't be around for the chat. :( But ya'll have fun!! :D

It's only about 7 weeks till Philly!!!

    :Tour3: :F_05BL17blowkiss: :TourExcite: :F_05BL17blowkiss: :Tour3:

  11. First things first. This made my day yesterday, and it is totally off topic. I guess the only ones who give a shit about Bush, right now, are the birds. Hope I didn't offend anyone.......:cryingwlaughter:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yCwbKso_MA

    That was hilarious!!! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

cha cha that montage was awesome. I'm going back for a second look. Glad your site is back up and I like your AI5 revisted. Love that picture you posted of Waldo err, I mean Clay. Then to have it followed up with another Waldo Clay picture by karen, was enough to bring me to the edge. Muski's new avatar and Claygasm's avatar with all the tongue action sent me over. Thank ya, thank ya very much............... :F_05BL17blowkiss:

Thanks clazor! shine in nc makes the bestest montages! I just suggested the song. I saw Richard Marx on Ellen and he sang "Right Here Waiting". Since I 'missed the 80's' - I was knee-deep in babies and toddlers (literally just ask me sometime!) - I had never heard of either the song or the singer! So I rushed to itunes (I LOVE ITUNES!) and bought his latest album. That song was on it. In fact (clearing throat of self-importance here [read: delusional]) I was the one who mentioned Richard Marx when Clay blogged asking what we were listening to, and therefore take credit for his choosing RHW for his album! [/delusional] (and yes I know some of you hate the song, but I love it!)

I love Rosie. Glad she left and I hope their viewership goes waaaaay down. Kathy Griffith is just what they need. Bwahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. They all deserve each other IMHO. I can't stand The View. Sorry. I only watch when Clay is on. Meredith was the only one I could stand and she was smart enough to leave too.
I like Rosie OK when she's not coming across as really bitchy. She's really loud sometimes! I think Kathy Griffin is funny most of the time! She has ceased her comments about Clay, but she really gives it to a lot of other people. But the show definitely suffered when Meredith left. I only watch it occasionally when I know someone fun will be on.

ETA: How inappropriate of me to be lusting over another man when it is my 23rd wedding anniversary...Oops! Good thing hubby doesn't read the boards. We will go to dinner tonight. Now i'm off to lunch to meet a new clay fan.

Speaking of anniversaries - we just had our 32nd (OMG - that's a lot! whodathunkit???) last week, and hubby is pretty good about my fandom. He is almost fan enough to qualify as a ClayDawg! I think I'm pretty lucky.

:04: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO COUCHIE MOM!!

  12. Martha Stewart HAIR? Best Ever!

    Martha100606.jpg

    Martha Stewart HAIR????

What about that Martha Stewart EYE FUCK????? humina hummina!!

In OT Breaking News.... I just heard on two different magazine shows that Rosie will not be returning to the View - AT ALL.

I wonder who they will pick for another host?

Oh - I almost forgot - did anyone mention that Clay won the Insider Poll for the Favorite-ist Idol Ever?

  13. OMG...that YouTube is unreal, cha cha! And I'm trying to remember which concert it was where he lost it singing TITN...he's wearing the barbershop pole stripey jacket and looks as though he's barely keeping his face from crumbling from emotion....

I was trying to figure it out... I know he wore it in Grand Forks...

but I'm not sure if this particular pic is from there...

    waldo1.jpg

    it's a good one tho!!

    :medium-smiley-070:

  14. I'm scared......

    My website is down......

In fact.... the whole damn hosting company seems to be down......

Was there an earthquake in CA or something that I am not aware of??

    :3:

eta: eeeep! the avatar doesn't even show up coss it's hosted at my site!!!

etaa: OH NO!! I found this article:

    http://www.thewhir.com/marketwatch/052207_...cfm#commentlist

(but I am not sure what it means.....)

    :fca:

  15. Oooh, everybody's doing covers! Beatle covers! I just Sir Paul needs the money.

Kelly with Sgt. Pepper, Taylor with something I can't remember; and Carrie with another one I sort of remember. Ruben with Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds

And a little help from my friends!!! That was great!!

But KAndre... Sir Paul doesn't really own those songs. I think the owners are now Sony and Michael Jackson... tho I guess Sir Paul might get a few royalties from that! So sad....

    :F_05BL17blowkiss:

  16. Well, they've had Kelly, Taylor, Carrie, and now Ruben - can Fantasia be far behind??

Sanjaya really did get star treatment!!

I am watching via picture-in-picture - and just switching back during commercials and slow times!

And I saw the new Harry Potter trailer!!

    Is it July yet??

eta: KAndre - I didn't hear Ruben, but ITA about Bette!! What happened?

    She's one of the best!!
