  1. While I agree wholeheartedly with cindilu, I see there is a line forming for marriage. Therefore, I've decided to marry Gibby for this: So much freakin' word. I can easily forgive him for this, because so many have forgiven me! I also think that I do forgive him because I don't believe I've thrown 5 years away at all -- he was still wildly entertaining to me at all those shows I attended, during the TV appearances, during Spamalot. He's given my life a rich new component, one of entertainment and joy. He's also given me the ability to learn so much about this world through him, the people around him, and the fans on message boards. Yes, that learning involves some ugly as well as good, but it's all learning.
  2. Couple of things here...first of all, this is simply the topic du jour of the moment. I mean, it's Clay's COVER story on People magazine. The big story on GMA for two days. It's simply what people are going to talk about for a while. Also...many boards really frowned on this whole topic. Not, of course, that it is really any of our business, but it is kind of freeing to me to be able to speak about this. And I personally love to talk about how cuuuuuuuuuute both Clay AND Parker are. Having said that...how about instead of saying "I wish we could talk about this," saying "wasn't it great to hear Clay's voice again today singing?" Or "remember that time when he sang this, or looked like this?" Suggesting a topic is easy; it just depends on if the board wants to pick up on it. Some will, some won't.
  3. Bookwhore, that was beautiful....and so very true. :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  4. I think for me, the key is simply one word. Forgiveness. In my mind, he may have lied, but I also believe in forgiving him for that. It may be hard to forget the initial "lie" (in quotes because I'm not totally sold on his lying, but that's getting into semantics I think), but I care enough about Clay that I forgive him. I'm in total love with GMA today. Clay looks to be an amazing father, and yet, he's snarky with his son already. "You'll be fat like your daddy." BWAH! And I also love the way Clay and Jaymes seem to be snarky with each other. They seem to be a good match for each other. "Baby Mine" is my new favorite song.
  5. Not a lot of time here. I've got a LOT to talk about, but I've got one quick thought here... I thought the most relevant part of the interview yesterday was this one quote from Clay: "don't dream too specific." In his case, he was talking about Parker, but my mind immediately went to the fandom, and the expectations that some had placed on him, whether about his private life or his career. Those that have had very specific ideas about his career (especially RCA) have probably had them blown out of the water somewhat just by the fact that he's still WITH RCA. This new news in the past few days changed the perceptions by more than a few about their dreams for his personal life. That one really hit me like a ton of bricks, because I've always thought that to be rather true of my life, not just Clay's. Sadly, got to run again. MUAH to all of you....
  6. Parker's Mom said about Clay: Thank you Jaymes. Simply thank you. This makes my heart so very glad. I've read that the segment has already shown up on the East Coast feed of GMA. Did ANYONE here see it?!?!? Pweeze?!??!?! Gibby, I'm thinking that maybe the ABC News website will have the clip up for streaming. I hope so, anyway. CG, we've talked about this before...I am a Christian, and yet, I just can't feel it's my job to be judge (and JURY) toward anyone. I think that's the main problem, really -- I believe that everyone of us makes judgment calls about people we know, it's human nature IMO. But becoming judge and jury is NOT MY JOB. In my mind, that's God job, and since I don't know what God has up His sleeve (just like I've never know what Clay has up his sleeve *g*), I try my best to no make those kinds of decisions. I know people do things like that though, and I don't like it that it happens in the name of Christianity. The only "job" I have in this regard is to love ALL people. Ansa, good luck on your test tomorrow! I've got another busy day ahead of me -- three library orientations, plus a goodbye party for one of my coworkers. If I make it to the weekend, I'm good.
  7. I'm not managing to pull all the media articles on the subject (will probably catch up later tonight), because there is a plethora of them. (People alone has done 5, I believe). However, this one is interesting to me, especially the last line... etonline.com David Foster on Clay Aiken's Family Life
  8. This Clayboard thread has a download of ET for tonight. Good luck getting to it though...it took me a few tries.... There's also a pretty screen cap. Sigh.

  10. abcnews.com After Birth of His Son, Aiken Says It's Time to 'Let the Guard Down' There's a video preview of the interview if you click on the link. Schmoopie. That's all I can feel.
  11. Jenna, I'm so very glad to see you back posting. I've gotten whiplash from nodding in agreement with all your posts. In rereading the article...AGAIN...I had to laugh at his comment about "When Parker is doing well, I'm happy; when he's screaming, I question it!" I'm sure many a parent (and granted, I'm not one) can identify with that. I also really liked his "I've got one man in my life right now, and he's crying and needs formula!" Again, only a parent (I think) can understand his devotion to Parker. Finally...and this one really isn't funny...but somehow, I can just hear Brett's reaction to his brother's admission. "Is that it?" Here Clay is, bawling his eyes out, potentially scared about Brett's reaction to this news...and it's like "yeah, whatever, let's go get a cheeseburger." For some reason, that just rings so very true to me. I'm still in love. Will there be someone tomorrow that will be able to upload the GMA piece to a site that allows us poor fools who can't get sick tomorrow to watch the clip? Much appreciated in advance!
  12. I think this one is my new favorite picture of the moment. Love the emotion in Clay's face... I know in many ways I shouldn't be doing this...but it's hard to not listen to the album OMWH without considering this news. Case in point: OMWH hasn't left my CD player in my car since I got it in May. I generally have time for one song between home and work (I live REALLY close to my job). The song that came up this morning was WOTW. To think, that he really was having to live with the weight of the world for this time...I started bawling like a baby. I'm fascinated by everything that is going on in the fandom at the moment, and I'm definitely still fascinated by Clay.
  13. FromClaygary, I posted the text earlier. It's also in the Fast Forward News section now -- it's the one piece of publicity (so far) that I've put in there. claytonic, there are TONS of radio stations that stream here in the US. The problem may be if you are "allowed" to get to them via Australia. It would probably be good to know what kind of music you want to hear -- top 40, easy listening, R&B, etc. Radio stations are sooooooo divided like that, it's not funny. Oh man. Those scans. Amazing. The pictures are amazing, the article is amazing. He's definitely a keeper.
  14. Cotton said: That's beautiful, and so very true. Maybe a thread title? I won't leave. Period. End of sentence. Has anyone contacted liney? jmh? Has anyone heard from cindilu about last night?
  15. {{{{laljeterfan}}}} Yes, I'm up. What of it? Actually, I need to be up in an hour and a half anyway...LOL LOVE HIS OFC POST. WARNING: SCHMOOPIE ALERT!!!
  16. Lots of great posts tonight. wandacleo, you are the master of the one liner...thank you. Plus, many hugs to all here this evening. What a bonding evening for each one of us, IMO. I love the support he's getting. I too am a bit sad he couldn't do the stage door this evening. I understand the reasoning, and I understand the paparazzi being there. I just wish those who showed up could have given him a little extra love at the stage door. Damn, I'm not making sense. God, I love him. He makes my heart swell.
  17. This one is quite interesting, and it has a video that I don't remember seeing before... mtv.com Clay Aiken Flashback: We Asked that Question Two Years Ago and It Wasn't Pretty
  18. Needless to say, the media has picked up on this. Whoa, has the media picked up on this. WRAL AP/Yahoo! News E! News (Warning, this has a Jenna Bush picture LOL!) CNN
  19. What a time to go to the gym. I didn't even feel like going anyway, but hubby made me. LOL. The first thought I had, when seeing the picture, was how cuuuuuuuuuute both Clay and Parker are. Love the head of hair that Parker has. The second thought I had was pride in Clay. I am very proud that he is living his life, as he sees fit. More power to him. My final thought was ... icky PH. Icky PH. Icky PH. It should be nobody's damn business about their sexuality, especially Icky PH. It's a shame that this...this...thing...makes his damn living from scoops like this. Oh well. IIT, of course....I'm still in love. Madly, passionately in love. This does not change his humor, his personality, his voice. It just makes me love him more.
