  1. Awww. Glad I have it on my CD then. I hope we get something else from the CD. "If You Don't Know Me By Now"? "Broken Wings"? "Lonely No More"?
  2. *yawn* What a couple of days. The HP Party was a'frickin' blast ya'll! The best thing about the night was that no child who wanted to check out a copy of the book left without one. There were only a finite number and it appears to have worked out just right. Kids started lining up shortly after the branch closed at 6 and we didn't open the doors until 10. The other best thing was we had PLENTY of staff/volunteers to help. I could tell these people are used to pulling off events. Everyone worked together like a well oiled machine, smiling and enthusiastic. The people that were in charge, were in charge. The people that weren't, didn't try to be. I was proud to be a part of it. I haven't been able to read much of the actual book yet as DD has had some drama that needed tending to. Broke up with her much loved BF. The one she thought she would marry. Decided she needed to have some life experience first. Gadz sometimes when they act all mature and stuff it gets me all verklempt. Soooo...being who we are, we plan to shop all day. The elixir of all ills ... in our world anyway. Also the friggin' lawn will NOT BE IGNORED any longer. *sigh* I hatessss being a homeowner-all-alone. Which reminds me ... the Twins are having an interesting series. When I sign on to MLB.com I keep seeing LAA @ MIN. Going back and forth from the cellcert threads to the baseball threads I'm always in my mind reading Lover All Alone at Minnesota...which then makes me giggle to myself which then makes me think I may just be a bit off. Can you tell I'm sleep-deprived? --- muski Good for Carri. It can be so exciting to watch your kids compete. And also heartbreaking. Sorry to say. --- OMIGOSH....I've probably watched more Clack from this show than any other. He looks so good and sounds even better. I love the M&G tidbits. I can.not.wait. until CALI!!!!! :TourExcite: :TourExcite: :TourExcite: :TourExcite:
  3. But see....I could understand that .... Cuz, well that's what I always say too. -- Friend heard from toni7babe...sounds like she was warned...and then caught by the same guard again. Seems the difference between the two was heading the warning. She still got to watch from the lawn, where she was conxidered too far away to take pictures or video.
  4. DD just left. She broke up with her BF and needed her mommy. I'm finally tuned into the stream.
  5. Be around in a bit. DD is here but she will be leaving shortly. :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  6. Look away. I'd like to see it. But in the meantime here's the orginal quote from the TV Guide article...(July 24, 2005 pg 24) People are so concerned with their outsides, and everybody else's outsides, that their insides rot.
  7. I don't know that Clay ever used the term rotting souls. I think it was "insides rotting" and was from the pre JBT TV guide interview. I could be wrong. Often am. --- Couchie...maybe he bores easily? Maybe after singing them a bajillion-diggity times he didn't like them as much? I remember hearing an interview with Tina Fey about her experience writing the movie Mean Girls(?) She said the hardest part was wanting to jump in and change everything all the time. It drove her crazy that the things she wrote 6 mos before were, in her opinion, just not funny anymore. She'd lived with them too long.
  8. Hee...Gibby. I coulda dressed up if I had more time ... and energy ... and less Clay and less baseball going on in my life right now. But...yeah. So I'll just be going as a Squib. Not just any old Muggle costume for me. *g* It is going to be fun but I'll be there from around 6p until well after midnight. I have a feelin' someone's ass will be dragging tomorrow at work. --- I'm just glad that Clay is sharing. And that the sharee's are sharing. I agree that everyone present will filter and then disseminate the "news" w/said filter firmly attached. And then it will be heard in a thousand different ways. Clay is letting us in, even if, in just a small way. IIRC there was mucho griping about his lack of communication last time around. He can't control it if some still don't want to hear what he has to say. On a related note...I see the call to cancel the Christmas shows and put his nose to the grindstone has gone out in a place or two. *g*
  9. Oh yes...another day another angst in Clayland. Or...As the Claynation Turns. --- Hey Gibby ... I'll actually be working at the Public Library's Big Release Party. They are opening a branch so that the people that have holds on the 115 branch copies can pick them up at midnight and then the next 100 will get to check out the 100 popular reading copies. We will have games, face painting and such. It's being held at a great perfect-for-the-part looking older building with stone walls, high ceilings and beams. I suggested live owls but was shot down. *g* 000 eta ... oooooo and I'd like to WORD what you just posted down there .... BIG TIME!
  10. I had to work last night so I missed everything... *sigh* Got the big OPL HP Bash tonight past midnight of course so will probably miss everything again tonight... *sssssssiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh* That said I do have the day off today and I just had a clackathon from last nights show and I just want to say ... OMIGAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!! He looks muygoodofantastique! He was so cute and funny. And he sounds awesome. The last note of SSTBTHW was just out. of. this. world. Yeah....I kinda like it. --- I think he and Faye are tight. I think I understand. One night when my kids were 13, 15 & 17 my X stood up and announced he was leaving and walked out the door. I was as surprised as the kids were. I spent the next several years picking up the pieces and holding it together, especially for the younger two. We went through some tough shit together, you know. But we got through it together and we got strong. We forged an unbreakable bond that, to this day, we all cherish. I have the utmost respect for the way they live their lives and I know I have their respect. --- I do find it ever so amusing that Clay is (IMO) calling his fans on some of their shit. Sorta sauce-goose-gander ... if you get my drift. Hee. --- Finally got my Greek tickets in the mail yesterday! Traveling buddy has the San Diego tickets and the Pala Tickets are Will Call so these are the first tangibles I have for the Cali 3'fer. I'm so excited. If you get my drift. :TourExcite: :TourExcite: I edited...therefore, I am.
  11. Well...since I gave up worry in my life about 10 years ago I don't think I'll be doing any of it over the future CD either. What ever happens, happens. I certainly have no control over it and I plan to enjoy the rest of the tour and beyond. BFM? Maybe Clay really just doesn't like the song enough to bring it back. I thought it was fun in concert, but when I played an mp3 of it for my 20 somethings they were very meh with it and I had to agree. IMO it loses something in the translation. I also have doubts about the idea of it being a big fat radio hit. I think I know how that goes. With support...maybe, without it...no way. IMO, on it's own it's just an awright song. Nothing to write home about. I think if Clay said what he said in the M&G about BFM in those words then maybe it didn't really make it very far in their initial select-a-song process. Playing it every night at the end of the concert was good for the whole flow of the show ... so it really did work in that context. I never read anything into it beyond that. I don't ever recall him saying anything about the song itself after that. In fact I remember an interview (was it the podcasts?) where he basically said after the JBT they put those songs away and didn't go back to them until much later in the process and then the only one that stuck out was ATD. But of course others may remember other things that Clay has said about the song. eta ... or what keepingfaith said above me... *highfives* Ironically (or not *g*) I'm also in the the notafanofTOUCHclub....which has gotten me accused of being all shades of horrendous things on the boards over the years. Hee. --- Hee. It amuses me to no end how up and down these things are. And how often my two intense fandoms mirror each other. We open the second half w/a sweep of a good team from the left coast and we're on top of world and ready to make a run for the penant. A few days later we lose back to back games to the best offensive team in baseball by a combined 2 runs while getting a couple of amazing pitching performances from a rookie and an ace and the season is over people. O. V. E. R. Well...I ain't givin' up yet. Nope...not me. edited for clarity...clarity is good.
  12. As my Granny used to say....ain't no trouble worth borrowing.
  13. CV cert is doing the samething. May...just may...have something to do with the acoustics.
  14. Yeah the sound isn't that good now...but still better than the beginning.
  15. I have no idea. That's a new one. Try posting in the thread there. Maybe they can help you out. TOA
  16. Okay they switched phones and it's much better.
  17. It's really not good is it? I can hear the songs but it sounds either like he's in a wind tunnel or underwater. Sometimes both. No hope of hearing any banter.
  18. CV cert is back to the usual... : ( I can hear lots of crowd noise but very little of Clay. Rats.
  19. :F_05BL17blowkiss: --- support the arts speech... not getting too much...much mushiness...
  20. Banter is mushy...can't hear what he's talking about. Okay...LAL. All I heard...executive producer....7 months later. I can hear him singing ... just fine.
