  1. People have been examining Clay's profit to Spamalot by gross sales, average ticket price, etc. Well, here is a little study of how the gross related to other plays in the same weeks. There was one really bad week in February, but it is in more prospective when you realize all the plays had a bad week, the weather was abominable. 12/02 - 14 12/09 - 15 12/16 - 13 12/23 - 09\ 12/30 - 07 ! Christmas holiday, almost every show is sold out at 100% Placement random. 01/06 - 09/ 01/13 - 07 01/20 - 05 01/27 - 08 02/03 - 08 02/10 - 07 02/17 - 07 02/24 - 08 03/02 - 08 03/09 - 07 03/16 - 07 03/23 - 08 03/30 - 07 04/06 - 09 04/13 - 08 04/20 - 08 04/27 - 09 05/04 - 05 05/11 - 14 05/18 - 15 05/25 - 14 06/01 - 15 06/08 - 15 06/15 - 15 06/22 - 15 06/29 - 14 07/06 - 13 07/13 - 14 07/20 - 14 07/27 - 14 08/03 - 14 08/10 - 14 Purple being Clay's time there, and green, I think is Collins and Lachey.
  2. Yep, wouldn't that be nice. Until then, thank God for the ignore button. Where the heck isthe ignore button? I have been looking for it? I haveto scrioll right now! heh, I think there is some pushing to get a point of view through beyond discussion, but that I why I can scroll when I get whatever. Excuse me, speak for yourself. I am boringly normal! ahem I just like feisty dogs. Pun is deliberate since I found out she is a feist and that explains a lot of her odder behavior. - did you know that about half the fiests can climb trees in pursuit of squirrels! Well, we now can tell why Quiana didn't know what she was doing! She is doing a stint at he NC theater again From WOWpoc on the CB http://www.nctheatre.com/ratpacklounge.html A salute to Etta James. Nov 13-22.
  3. Supposedly, no show Sunday night, whch means we can have a nice after dinner and no one has to fall asleep at the wheel
  4. Oh, yeah, it is being used appropriately, especially the pants siling one, popping up with a lot of Spamalot jokes. No worry about that. They just don't seem to know where it originated. You know this fandom, everything gets adopted and spreads like wildfire, even fake stories, heh. Well, maybe especially fake stories. I see some people are calling for Clay to start his own label, not understanding the cost it would take on his career and his pocketbook and sales figures. has Bo even reached 30K yet?
  5. Too bad they shut down the woman's hotel in the city in the 60's. I knew many young women who stayedthere Of course, no genetlemen or alcohol was allowed and you were expected to leave dressed properly (I don't think gloves were required) I might have come in handy with all these women in the city.
  6. Who will be the new king? I have to say at first people were very nice about Collins and Lachey, but lately the reviews have not been so nice. So, I am glad to see they will be gone. I think they were supposed to stay a bit longer. For some reason, the 3 times I tried it, telecharge crashed my computer, so I can't see who else I recognize. I think I have reachedthe point where I don't need an ignore button on the "usual suspects" any more I have them on mental ignore and just don't care if fthey are unhappy anymore. How can I care, they are in their normal state - being miserable. Now if there was one single thing they were happy about, I might reconsider, but there are a handful of people who are not now and have never been happy. Nope, no one can make me sad about Clay. How many times did we say we wanted to see him happy, and now we can see the joy in his face (or at least imagine it), so didn't we get what we wanted. I keep seeing Cindilu's emoticon all over the place. Should I be telling people that she created/adapted it? They don't seem to know. Well the London show is closing Jan 3rd. I wonder if the Broadway version is closing Jan 4th?

  8. Before I forget -Cha Cha Trusty- All this news blew it out of my head. Watching Kimmel to see if he says anything now.
  9. FYI I just bought a discount ticket for first row mezzanine for opening night. Hey the last night tickets were expensive, they raised the price for that show already! So, there is the two day over lap with the discount tickets and I used it. SIlly people, they should have shortened that discount! Bad, Cindilu, bad. Hee, have you posted that emoticon at the fan club yet? Come back and visit me some time. Who is going tothe first weekend? ANyone want to go with me?
  10. OK, did anyone note an overlap of 2 days with Sephen Collins and Drew Lachey. I was hoping Hibbard would return, he was very good, I hear in comparison.
  11. Beach = small trailer (3 or 4 tightly packed people and crazed sweet dog) over 2 hours south of here in isolated area of the beach. Green head flies gone by the middle of Sept with the lifeguards, water is clean and warm and the wildlife preserve is open for quiet walks and fishing. Most restaurants open on the weekends, only a few open through the winter. I don't think there are any sail boat rentals near by anymore. If I sell and buy a new trailer on the next island closer to home, there is sailing there, but I won't be doing that this year. I am still looking at tickets - Why is there no evening show on Jan the 4th?
  12. Damn, I was too slow and the good tickets for closing night are gone. New York is very popuylar during the holidays, it is the busyiest time for broadway.
  13. Ah, too bad, I was kind of wishing for White Christmas. I guess the venues didn't work out so well and this does allow for a stable life, if not in North Carolina. I do have to say the box office has dropped a bit. I have been monuitoring it and the average ticket price dropped, the attendence is just down a little, but repective to how other shows are doing, it has dropped a lot. It was usually about 8th in gross while Clay was there, now it is usually between 16 and 20, summer time usually being a good time and, respectively the cold weather after the strike, Spamalot did pretty darn good while Clay was there. Well, I guess I should clean up my house a bit should anyone want to save a bit of money. I do spend some of September and October at the beach, it is nice and quiet then and the remodeling should be done, I hope.
  14. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some people see the outside looks, others see the inside and think they are seeing the outside. Grey hair and Clay? Sho knows - look at my sister and myself. She turned grey in her 20's, I still don't dye my hair and people have seen me and know the color of my hair in my spring chicken years. Although I want some blonde high lights, so I was thinking of doing it tonight. I don't like to use *g* because for some people,it has become a way of saying something nasty and hide under the *g*. I don't think that everyone who uses it is really joking. I understand the majority are using in sincerity, it is just past the point of usefulness for me though, personal choice. I will use an emoticon (if I can get them to work again) or write out heh, heh. SInce people don't know when I am kidding, that approach doesn't seem to be working all that well! (ETA thinking of one person in particular who does not post here) Words mean different things to different people - When a word means nothingto one person, they might not realize how it affects others. take it from someone who gets into trouble with their own family all the time, heh.
  15. Actually, the one where he is smiling into the car is a nice shot, but there is not baby in that picture.
  16. Something that everyone should check out. I was reading my state's web site one day looking for consumer help on my cable company, when I noticed the tax thing and by clicking onthis page, I found that there is a property tax freeze for everyone over 65 or disabled. I talked to a lot of people and no one knew about it! It was a stealth tax break. So I went looking around different states. In new Hampshire they have a volunteer program called Green Mountain care for people who are ill. You never know what you will find. I suggest that when you have some time to take a glance wround you state's web site looking for stealth help programs. While I don't qualify for the programs I found, I know plenty of people who do! If you are in Connecticutt, you are on your own, no programs there , In NY state, plenty of different programs! To find your state's sites here is a map
  17. What? what? Whad I say? I have been spending the evening tracking down different states' tax savings exceptions.
  18. Even if it is most likely that something happened, I don't like to post as if it is a fact. It misleads people and it might not be true. There has been so much stuff (fake Clay) posted as fact and accepted as true today, that I just avoid it as a general practice, unless I am wrong and mistake something for a fact. ETA - they probably donated the stuff that came to the hospital. I bet there is a slew of stuff waiting at home I remember after I had an accident and ended up in the ICU, I got a ton of stuff from work and a few friends. I gave it all away when I came home, it was too much to carry and I just did not feel like dealing with stuff, except the cards. I took the cards home for thank you s. The good stuff was from work. I was their big earner bee and was in the middle of a high profile project, they wanted me back fast, heh.
  19. Yea, we all draw lines in the sand for different ways, like shopping at walmart........and losing some little bit of honor. or not buying nestle. The corporates are taking over and it is hard to buy anything else. I do shop at some independent sotres and do belong to sam's club but it democratic equivalent, Costco. They still buy a lot os things made in China. I don't think I bought any imported clothes until the 90's and that wasn't easy. There is a differnece for my behavior, I can't control anyone else's and I don't think anyone should expect me to behave the same way they do. We just have different priorities. There are plenty things I don't openly support but partake behind closed doors. I watch Idol because I can't be counted or traced, that may change when I can be in the, probably, near future. Clay and Money, I am sure he has wisely invested what he has. he does not just do stuff, he seems to think about it for a long, long time.
  20. Hmm, do you think Clay was wearing sneakers instead of mandals so he would have sure footing? heh. Well, maybe in case he had to run?
  21. and this on-line player http://www.badongo.com/vid/836154 for those who can't download
  22. The send space and video is up on CB, does anyone want me to bring it here?
  23. I will wait. You can't make me click on that self-scumbag site. Can't do gossip. I have a lot of unresolved anger with gossip sites, put too many people through too much
  24. Heh, for a seecond, I thought K'andre was stuck on repeat. But then she fixed it.
