  1. I like the T-rex's flip flops - It must have a hard time finding shoes.
  2. Oooh, Medical stuff is amazing. Hopng good things for your friend and he small baby. I remmeber being nervous about my nephew weighing under 3 pounds.
  3. Nancy Grace - Nw I feel strongly about this - so just understand we all have hot buttons - you might like her when she agrees with you, but how will you feel when she goes off on someone you like? I dread the coming Clay mention on that show - I don't enjoy it when people I don't like agree with me. pretty much everyone deserves to live without being damned for eternity by Nancy Grace. Let's take registering of sexual offenders - OOOOOHHH bad people, but, some, not somuch. Lately it seems that the rule is being poorly applied. I used be in group with a woman who was divorcing her husband, and during thier divorce while living together, they had a sleep over for their boys, one kid wet the bed and the parents were called to the room. The husband grabbed a towel and patted the boy down - big mistake. He was never alone with the boy, there was all kinds of kid yelling and general disorder in the room while they were trying to get this kid ready to go home. End result the kids parents took the husband to court for abusing their son, he had to drop his legal practice, stop couching the boys soft ball team, register as a sexual offender, etc. It was the time when anything any kid ever said was believed without question. Needless to say, his life was ruined becasue of a sleep over decision that was not too bright. Obviously no one should have tried to dry off the boy and this wwas the revenge of the parents for the boy who was sent home and endlessly teased in school afterwards. The woman swore she never left her husband alone and that there had never been an issue with any children before or after, but sometimes you could not win. On the other side of the fence, I also know a woman who set her daughter to accuse a father of a friend of molesting her to get their house in law suits - this I know is true, they are a disgusting family and were bragging about it to me. So some times you can't blanket condemn people, there are bad people out there and there are wrongly accused people out there. Grace's one size fits all justice is dangerous in how it effects her more easily influenced viewers to come to instant judgement. I guess my seeing shades of grey instead of black and white influences my TV viewing as well. Nancy Drew was a girl slueth, and, in today's term, and indendent contracting detective. Sherlock was just a more sophisticated and better written detective for more mature tastes. Did I tell you my English professor wrote Nancy Drew for 20 years as a side job? As far as ITT - Idon't really care one way or another in the long run, I just never eant to hear the further discussion when Clay address (or not) the topic. Some people have taken the ITT and run with it constructing detailed fantasies and promoting them as the real truth and that kind of stuff always skeeves me out.
  4. Well, watergate would have played out just fine with privacy laws - Deep throat only pointed in the direction, two impeccable sources had to verify any information dug up by investigation - the difference now is that the news budgets are severely cut to pay for super star writers and because af falling revenues. No one vets information as weell; as they did then - go read the president's men again, it was quite clear on how they did the investigation. As far as that TMZ quote that they go after Britney like NBBC goes after the President, - not so much, tey follow Britney musth as TMZ does and they accept press releases for news about the president - investigative reporting on matters that are actually improtant is done only independently and frequently can not get printed. Nancy Grace is a BIG disgrace - she just randomly declares people guilty and rants onthem, and when they are found innocentl she just never discusses them again - didn't come commit suicide based on how she was attacked by Nancy Grace and it turned out she was innocent as well? I miss Ted Turner undrestanding what news really was, and dispised all these asshoe talking heads on "news" <-read propganda/rumor crap. nancy Grace will and probably has something nasty to say about Clay and her fans will be cheering her on - I am totally bypassing crap these days and it has seriously affected my Tv watching. I now watch too many crappy reality programs that have no basis in reality.
  5. Ah, that detective that seems to be in so many of us - Nancy Drew has damned a generation to investigate! I get like that with political rumors.
  6. Hey I saw Joe Cocker at the dress rehersal when he appeared on Saturday Night Live! He was so drunk, he was taking a piss when he was supposed to be on stage and John Belushi went on stage and "did him" - it was ariot, but the screaming at him by the cast and producers for being a drunk and a druggie kind of ruined it. he was more sober for the live show, which I ran home to see.
  7. Sorry, should have said pictures with babies, not baby pictures. - for UNICEF, with Chamberlain and with the McDonalds baby.
  8. Textwriter and Perma S. I have to say the feelings are IDF were pretty much Eeeeewww, until the baby pictures appeared - that chenged it to Aaaaawwww, and I think it is pretty quiet there about this now, of course the real news will change it.
  9. is it possible that Clay is not doing a Somalia promo tour because people want to ask him about a baby more than the world? Aren't the ambassadors only supposed to speak about UNICEF stuff when interviewed? I thought there was a UNICEF rule or something. No self promotion when talking about UNICEF. I thought People confirmed it with Df publicist idiot and then did not take it back when he claimed to not have spoken to them.
  10. Ah, but the one truth is lost within the permutations and combinations of possibilities.
  11. What you are forgetting KF, is there is a lot of grades of truth and many variations of what is and many many bits and pieces of details. We don't know, may never know, it IS really none of our business. The person who verified the information claimed he did not verify the information - just the waves and eddies of the media and the fans filling in the blanks for someone who will not help them. ETA - the signed EasterBonnet poster went for 1600 - a real bargain. I think it is worth much more! Wish I could have bid more on it, but it was over my personal limit.
  12. CG just consider it a generic - can you trust the media? - discussion - are they adding anything new or just presenting things more and more as a fact based on nothing? I think it is the latter, especially Jared and his "announcement" comment.
  13. Well, that is true, but there is always more unknown, than known. We just know some one claimed to sight him at home for a bit after Somalia. I think if he went to LAX, he would have been "seen". Ack sunshine - what is that? must go out and investigatge!
  14. Well, I think you have to consider whether it is "his" child. If he was not romantically involved and is jsut helping out a friend, he would have to sign away his rights. I am thinking more and more he was just helping a friend because if he were "invovled" why would he be on the east coast, instead of the west coast?
  15. Well, it takes a lot of calling to make me go over my minimum minutes, so it has to be people I like to make me get that far, and you can get phones blocked. I got one telemarketer call and they backed out so fast, they know they are not supposed to call mobile phones. However, I signed up from emergenty notificatiobn from my town and now they are texting me notices like the fireworks will be 30 minutes late? Since when was this an emergency, it was supposed to be about evacuations and stuff like that, so I have unsigned up because I have to pay per text.
  16. Uh Chardonnay, maybe you don't have to worry about us, but there are a lot of lurkers to this board, heh. And you know how crazy enthusiastic some fans are.
  17. I found this website Benefits check up While it does not pick up everything, like the senior freeze in New Jersey, it did list new things to me, mostly federal programs. If it doesn't help you, perhaps it can help an older relative.
  18. Well, I got rid of long distance service at my house and use the cell phone for that instead. For health reasons, living alone and driving for hours back and forth to the beach, I feel I need a phone on me all the time just in case. Things I have gotten rid over the years is termite inspections(found out my house is made of cedar, not necessary to check for termites, house phone line insurance, dental and vision insurance (never pays for me, costs more than it reimburses and big things are covered under medical), paid credit cards (now I only do money back cards), eat what I have in the fridge before buying more food even though I feel like eating something else, walk to the bank and the stores (all within a mile of my house), turn off all the lights in rooms I am not in at night - heh - parent's influence, paint my own garage, touch up my house between paintings, instead of hiring someone.
  19. Hey, I just found Access Atlanta interviewed Trenyce and she will be joining Ruben and Frenchie in Ain't Misbehaving - and no, there is no role for Clay. Pffft. Seems like Debra Byrd is involved as well. I think it is really going to be interesting, but it does not seem to be coming anywhere near me, so I am going to miss it, saw the original on Broadway with Gregory Hines and Nell Carter though.
  20. Wow, that is a lot for a cell! I try and keep my charges to $32 a month, but I am still getting the company discount from a company I don't work for anymore. Shhhh. Minimal internet access, but that is usually not an issue.
