  1. OMG I finally found an emoticon I was looking for and can use it :nana: Make that two.
  2. Actually I inquired about this and they won't send the labels to Canada, only to the United States.
  3. Well I don't know about Toshiba, but I would agree with your brother. Seagate and Western Digital have a really good reputation and if (heavens forbid) they fail there is a 5 year warrantee on them. Like you said you get what you pay for. I have noticed, though that harddrives are coming down in price. They used to be $1 per gig now they are much much less. Maybe just keep your eye out for a sale. Thanks, goldarngirl. My brother kept suggesting TB hard drives too me, which was way overkill. Mostly I'm just going to be storing my assorted bits of Clack, so I've been wrestling with the idea of going cheap with a small 160 GB Toshiba for around $50 or trying to think long term and go with the 500 GB Western Digital for around $75... I'm leaning towards the Western Digital, even though I kind of doubt I'll use up that much space. I'm trying to convince my mother to split the cost with me and I'll probably back up all of our vacation photos and videos for her if she does... The downside to the Western Digital is it will have to be shipped to me, meaning I'll have to delay sending my computer off to be repaired until I get the hard drive... >_> Ugh. This is so not the time for me to be having these issues... EATA: Hee, cindilu2! I'm typically a "bigger is better" (not smutting either!) kind of person... unless of course I'm paying for it! Why, yes, I am a tightwad... why do you ask? I think I would go for the larger drive too, just sayin'

Hmmm you may want to rethink that. cindilu2 and luckiest1 can attest that a dance mix is not necessarily an improvement. We had that experience at the David Cassidy concert we went to see, luckiest1 and I are/were huge fans.
  5. Bolding mine. If you can get them to pull that harddrive and back it up, I would do so. A lot of computer repair places, just as a habit, wipe the harddrive clean so that there is no concern with a software problem in addition to hardware. This comment coming from personal experience. When a hinge goes on a computer, you would think they wouldn't wipe a harddrive clean, BUT some of them do. SO if you can get them to agree to back up your harddrive, it might be a wise thing to do and less frustrating.
  6. My Hubby and SIL went to see this while I was in New York for Clay's last hurrah. They really liked it.
  7. Nope. And my experience says yes, it's possible! Can't do decongestant because I have unregulated HBP~it's SUCH fun to wake up with my eyes glued shut every morning. My ear is starting to hurt from the congestion...may have to go get it blown out. I've coughed all day/all night since Friday...falling asleep at my desk, it seems the only time I can sleep! Just......YUCK!!!! Just hope I'm semi over it before GFI...wouldn't that be great in the clack? cough...cough...cough/cough...cough...cough/cough....cough...cough....cough/cough....cough.... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO just noooooooo. Any prayers for FromClaygary's recovery before GFI are appreciated.
  8. Yep good idea. Just as an aside. I have had my laptop in a couple of times (I love the laptop it works really well) BUT the first time I sent it to HP and in doing one repair they wiped my C drive clean and took it back to factory default (my laptop had a partition in it to do that, which I guess is normal) The second time I had it fixed under the extended warrantee at Best Buy, they too wiped it clean. Yesterday, due to software conflicts, that I can't resolve no matter what, I had someone in to redo my C drive again and low and behold, the partition that held the program had been wiped clean too, now I need to buy new cd's in order to reinstall windows (cause as a dummy I didn't do the restore cds) SO my suggestion would be to burn a set of restore cd's OR at least make sure (if you have an extra partition to do this) that no one wipes it clean. Best Buy and I are going to be visiting today to see if I can get a set of cds for free, since I believe they wiped that restore partition. Anyway word to the wise (you live and learn).
  9. Totally understand the OA problem. I always found that he did a great job.... but for her, she sung the song the way she felt that night and he was trying to harmonize the best way he could (which was wonderful). I have to say though, my biggest thrill is when Kelly started out singing and he came in, the screams were deafening (glorious). Same with Heather Headley, when he started singing the reaction was wonderful.
  10. I was just about to say Liar Liar Pants on Fire. See you fessed up. Hmmm ok so maybe you are crazy cause it looks like only three of us listen to Clay over and over.
  11. Actually I listened to BOTW and TITN when it first came out over and over for a few days. Same with Without You by Clay and Kimberley Locke, Mary Did You Know, Solitaire and Without You (seems to me a few of us played it over and over at a cluncheon) So you are totally normal. IMO Also adding Just You from the JBT tour I loved that song, I think I was one of the few, but listened to that over and over too.
  12. Glad you enjoyed them. There are more Gala Montages coming (as soon as I get my rear in gear), we just wanted to do something special for Christmas, even if the whole set weren't ready.
  13. Right back atcha :big hug: It was great seeing you last weekend, see you in a couple of weeks.

  16. Yay, that you're home! Missed ya! Nice to have been missed. I was here almost everyday reading as per normal. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
  17. Well not sure if you had anything to do with it, but got back without a hitch. Yayyy to be home.... for a couple of weeks anyway. :nana:
  18. Well headed home to the cold north from sunny Florida. Hey you Ontario Clay Fans, can you make sure that the weather is decent when I get there on Friday? Any help along the I75 from those on the way would be appreciated too. I understand WE can do anything.
  19. That would have been no fun. Hey Claymatron and Bella. We leave tomorrow. brrrrrrrr
  20. Looks like FromClaygary and I are the only ones here.
