Hi goldarngirl! I wasn't at that party but many of you still travel together, don't you? I remember meeting most of you at the same place -- either the Rochester/Clio JBT or the Canadaigua DCAT. Actually the first time I met you Scarlett was the JNT05 Clearwater, when I passed you your radio shack. Since then I believe we met in Syracuse and again in Kalamazoo, perhaps other places but those are the places I remember. Yes we do still travel together. When we go to the Michigan concerts, it is not unusual to have three or four cars following one another.

This is what it's all about, isn't it? I too, have made some wonderful friendships over the past 5 years...I know FromClagary...she doesn't know I'm here yet, but I asked her if she would be gracious enough to read my Christmas story if it were chosen since I could not attend a concert. It was not to be, but what a kind and wonderful person she is to have agreed to do that for me. I've also met me myb and she is lovely as well! There are many more, but I don't think they're here at this board. And to dummie, I just have to say that I think that post about your lurker board is just about one of the funniest things I've read! Ok, I think I'm done with this epic mess of a first post! *holds breath and hits "Add Reply"* Welcome, even though I have been here a bit I'm more of a lurker (as you can tell with my 80 posted in almost a year)

Perhaps, some of the innocence is gone, but this fandom IMO is still about people helping people, in addition to loving THE MAN. I have always thought that, for the most part, he draws people like himself as fans. I have been very lucky in that the first fans that I met are still fans and, in fact, are members of this board. My very first encounter was Heinz poor Heinz who ended up buying addition IT tickets for someone she had never met and ended up planning a van trip to see IT in Detroit, once again, with someone she hadn't met. We set up a dinner before we left and this is where I met luckiest1, heartsocean and over time have been lucky enough to be in close proximity to cindilu2, claymatron, alspaz, canfly172 and even though she has to travel we have been lucky to have FromClaygary visit often and I personally, was lucky enough to have her be my travel buddy to NY to see spamalot (not only my travel buddy but my personal travel agent). OH and a quick edit to say I had the opportunity of meeting me_myb in NY and hopefully we will meet again. In this spirit I also had the opportunity of hosting Lotus twice and a great time was had by all. I still think that, even though we aren't as innocent, we still follow the man and are out there to support and help one another, just as we support him.

LOL I thought I had seen most all the montages...but I missed that one! My link was just audio....and I only remember the song because it was being played (very briefly) on a local radio station the year my hubby was in Turkey with the Air Force, '77-'78. I couldn't wait for him to come home on leave and hear it.......... Thanks for the video link. Not a problem. I had never heard of this before my friend made this montage. It is the only one she has ever made and I thought it was really cute. I couldn't believe that someone after all this time was posting the same song. I am glad you enjoyed it.

KAndre Just wanted to comment on this before I head out to dinner. I will be so glad to get home sometime soon. I visited a recording studio in Toronto the end of last year, they do quite a bit of high profile recording and this is what the one owner was saying. That there is a huge reduction in quality as you compress. They record only their commercials in digital all of the albums etc are analog. He said that the problem was when you converted to send the files, sometimes they were converted to digital and then as they were processed down they lost quality. In addition he said that when the cds were burned that in some cases some of the companies that burn, burn at a higher speed (quicker turnaround) and the higher the speed at which they were burned, the lower the quality of the recording. He felt, that downloading may not be the way of the future, there are some young people buying vinyl again, thus why some bands have put vinyl albums out. It should make for an interesting future, that's for sure. BUT his comments were very informative, I felt. This studio was featured on an ET Canada clip for a charity group song they were doing (if anyone is interested, here is their website Phase One Ok off to dinner.

But of course..I'm taking my laptop. But my friend has computer...and no wireless... so I'll have to kick her ass off and that might not be easy. But I'll find time everyday to check. Hmmmm can I use a splitter so I can jump in on her DSL connection? What do I need to buy? hee sooooooooooooooo I'm the only one up eh? Hmmm you could buy a wireless router and travel with it OR leave it there (if you visit frequently). My stepson teases me all the time about travelling and buying routers for various family and friends so that I don't have to worry about kicking them off their computers, but can use mine.

As far as that goes, I've yet to see the Insider Planet Hollywood clip vaulted anywhere. If anyone has any leads on these two clips, I'd appreciate it! Oh no not me. I have this uncontrollable urge to see any and all stuff "Clay Aiken" that appears. I want it all and I want it now! It is a sickness, I tell you! The new webisode is great. I'm loving his clothes, so GQ. I cannot wait for the weekend after next to go with my buddies to NY City! I think we are going to see one smokin' hawt guy who is appearing on Broadway! I hear this guy is talented and can sing and dance at the same time! You might have heard of him lately....every day there seems to be some kind of stuff about him on the web. I heard someone say it was called promotion! What a concept! Oh by the way this guy is also....CUTE!!!! Oh and DF Gala UM was the best. I love it when David keeps making him re-sing parts! As for KLo she doesn't even appear on my horizon.
