  1. Finally out of boring meeting!

I asked about the hair again. You can't have too many hair descriptions, right? She said "no bangs". It is swept off his face and sort of "blowing in the breeze".

    :dead-1:

    MUST.HAVE.CLACK.OF.THE.MAN.IN.BLACK!!!!!!!!

    I like this!

Although I hope he's wearing sunscreen, I also can't help but picture how cute he was with his slightly sun burnt nose in Sterling Heights this past summer, after they'd spent their day off at Cedar Point.....

  2. Running back to boring meeting, but dropping this tidbit off from CV - hopefully it's not a repeat, but even if it is, the visual is worth repeating!!

    From CB

Uuugg. My computer is not cooperating today. Sharon just called back. She had hung up when Clay and Jerome were walking back to the clubhouse. She said he walked right by her, but she was too shy to look at him. Lordy, how can you not look at him?? She has had a meet and greet with him, but doesn't want to look too fangirly (she is, tho). Anyway..there is a fan's husband there who is taking video. If she sees him again, she will ask him if the video is going to be hosted at any of the boards. Several people have video cameras, but it may just be for personal use. Sharon thinks most of the guests who are allowed as a friend of the golfer are coming later in the day. She is wandering around the clubhouse almost alone. Diane is not there now, but Jerry Aiken came up and introduced himself and chatted with her.

I asked about the hair again. You can't have too many hair descriptions, right? She said "no bangs". It is swept off his face and sort of "blowing in the breeze". Beautiful. He has been very friendly and relaxed and not minding all the cameras. However, Jerone is always looming. As he should.

More about Clay out on the course in a minute.

  3. You're welcome! Thanks to eveyone else who's bringing over the fun stuff, too! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

I've been in the situation of having Clay walk towards me. *takes a moment* TM Jemock

The first time was at the buses in Lexington, KY during the NAT. This was at the beginning of the buslines. There weren't all that many of us & he was able to actually stop in front of each of us, look us right in the eyes, say thank you and give a good, strong handshake.....

    Where was I?

Ah yes, as he was in front of me, shaking my hand, looking me in the eyes and thanking me, my mind was running amuck. All I could think was, "OMG!!! I'm lost in his eyes!!!" *Wasn't that some corny 80's song, or something?* I think I opened my mouth, but nothing came out. How attractive. It's amazing we made it back to Ohio alive since I was driving/floating.

And now, with that and all this morning's fun running through my mind, I must go to a 2 hour long meeting on "PO & DC limitations and process requirements". Don't y'all wish you could go, too????

    from starrgirl at CB:

Wow. Sharon talks fast and I scribble badly. Here goes. She said she was looking at Clay right now. He is outside giving an interview and very animated and talking with his hands. His hair is down to his collar and blond and he is gorgeous, of course. All in black. Earlier, Wayne Player was giving him a golf lesson, but Clay never really held the club. Wayne was showing him how to swing and move his body. Sharon said it was a sight to behold, lol. He was mostly just fooling around. She said she was close enough to Clay to touch his..shoulder, but wants you all to know that she didn't.

She didn't know who Pam was, but she was talking to Jerome and others. From the other post, I see she is a fan from Ca. Mary is also there, but she has not seen any others from Team Clay. Jerome is standing right behind Clay and now he and Clay are heading into the club and towards Sharon and she doesn't want him to see her on the phone with me. The golfers are all lining up to tee off and it should start soon.

  5. From Katy4Clay at CV:

CLAY IS GETTING READY TO TEE OFF AND DH IS TAKING PICTURES

I thought he wasn't going to play golf? Maybe he's just getting the tournament started.

    EEEEEEEEEE! Again.

I missed the board last night, too! I had one of those 'it's Sunday and I don't wanna go back to work tomorrow so I'm going to stress about everything I possibly can and not go to sleep until sometime after 2:30 AM' nights. Grrrrrr.
    annabear, you are me! (I?)

    Sucks, huh?

Oh dear god in heaven...."black polo shirt, black jeans, long blonde hair and no glasses" ? GAH. THAT. IS.ALL.

Yep, GAH pretty much sums it up.

ETA: Looks above and sees that the lack of sleep has in no way imared muski's imagination!!! :whistling-1:

  6. aikim beat me to it! More from Katy4Clay at CV:

DH JUST SHOOK JEROME'S HAND, JEROME SAID HE COULD TAKE CLAY'S PICTURE LATER, HE'S HAVING BREAKFAST NOW.

BLACK POLO SHIRT - BLACK JEANS -BLOND HAIR - LONG - NO GLASSES

EEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Who needs caffeine when we've got Clay Aiken?!

Also from toni2marie regarding Quiana starting in Dream Girls this week:

Cute video interview with Quiana! She talks about Clay too!

    ETA: :praying: for chacha's request.

  7. I missed the board last night, too! I had one of those 'it's Sunday and I don't wanna go back to work tomorrow so I'm going to stress about everything I possibly can and not go to sleep until sometime after 2:30 AM' nights. Grrrrrr. If I'm not :856: by the time I get in the door tonight, I can help bring some :golf: info over from CV, too.

I know, makes me sad too...hoping he will be doing some morning show appearances I can to it.

    Kim

Yes! I was thinking about that this morning. I'd love to actually have a reason for being late to work some mornings. :cryingwlaughter:

I wanted to thank Caro for her great inclusion of FCA in her blog. Sales took a really big surge and we will probably double expectations which means TBAF will get a decent donation this time around.

Very cool! I personally had no idea a portion of these went to BAF....even cooler! (I assume we're talking about the pins...)

I had no idea either. Very cool, indeed!

Have a good day everyone! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

  8. annabear, i would hate to work where you do. i can't stand any of those people/places you listed so i'd probably wear headphones all day so i didn't have to listen to anyone talking about them.

Hee - they did prompt me to break my 'no more credit card purchases' rule and finally buy myself an iPod! Next to any Clay concert tix I may have charged, this was the best investment I've ever made. Seriously.

I've found since this whole Clay-thing that I just don't want to get into trashing celebrities (or anyone for that matter). Having followed so much of the garbage that's been written about him that's not true, figure I'll cut other celebrities some slack and give them the benefit of the doubt.

Seriously, following Clay's career and reading his book and listening to interviews, etc. really has made me want to be a better person. He always takes the high road and I am trying to do the same. Note that I said "trying." Doesn't mean I always do!! Question--"Would it be taking the high road if I said,'STFU' the next time someone disses him?" Oh, then I guess I am not perfect after all.

I've found this to be true for me as well. I think the fact that the media, including the "news" has become increasingly more tabloid-like over the past 5 years has helped, too. And yeah, 'STFU' has been on the tip of my tongue a time or two. OK, maybe three. Or four.....

RIFan, oh I remember the days when I would actually watch the clack, then stay up late to watch it live, and then of course watch the clack again. heee. And of course I think I have almost everything on VHS from 2003 and 2004. Somewhere along the line I started trusting that the clack would be there.

I did this, too! And oh my word, I have a drawer full of VHS tapes. I remember being in Canada on a business trip when the Diane Sawyer interview was on and the stupid Marriott did not have ABC on the TV!!! I'd forgotten to set the VCR and didn't have a computer at home at that time so I couldn't download Clack. Luckily I had a dear Clay friend who was willing to send me her VHS tapes and I made copies of them! Not the best quality, but hey, it was Clay! :cryingwlaughter:

  9. No one has given me a hard time about my Clay hobby. Of course, there are still a lot of people in my real life who don't know about it. Its not that I lie to them, but if the subject doesn't come up, I don't bring it up. If it comes up, then that's one thing, but I just don't mention it out of the blue. As for those who know, well, I don't think anyone gets it, but they don't give me a hard time about it either.

Of course, I think one reason those that know don't give me a hard time about it is I don't try to foist my obsession on others. If they say they don't like Clay, I say that's cool. If they say Clay is gay, I say he may be - he says he's not and my gut tells me he's not - but who really knows and who cares. If they say they don't like his music, voice etc, I say that's cool - to each their own. I don't get defensive about him. I don't try to Clayvert anyone. Different strokes for different folks. I think when I don't react to what they say, they just accept I like someone they don't get.

Of course, I don't have a husband or a child to explain it to - or who may feel at times as if they are in competition with Clay. I do think that is why some get upset - they feel as if Clay is getting more attention than they are.

And with some people, it could be true! :cryingwlaughter:

    This ^^^ is me.

My mom gets it because I dragged her half-way across the country with me early on, hoping she would realize that I wasn't crazy. Sort of! No hubby or kids to contend with, just the cats. As long as I leave extra food & water when I travel, they're happy. For some strange reason LTS on CD seems to calm them in the car when we go to the vet, so maybe they're fans, too. LOL

As far as work goes, people know I'm a fan, but I don't go out of my way to talk about Clay. I'm surrounded by people there who worship Howard Stern, think Kathy Griffin is hillarious, love TMZ and Perez H. - pretty much anyone who takes shots at Clay. My former manager (who got me hooked on this joyride) and our admin are casual fans.

I also think that some people don't understand having something that makes you happy like Clay does for us. They may have hobbies, but not necessarily something they're passionate (no smutting intended!) about. I think that was weird even for me in the beginning - Clay Aiken makes me smile like practically nothing else in the world!

  10. It is hard & I hate it too, Clayzorback!

I have a co-worker who does WW that way. The prgram does work when you make up your mind to eat right. It also helps when you have a good leader for the meetings, which I do. Some of them just commiserate with you and don't bother to make you think about what you're doing or learn anything along the way. In those cases, it's a waste of money.

Anyway, thought I'd list some of my favorite healthy snacks:

Yoplait light yogurt - lots of flavors, satisfies the sweet tooth, good source of calcium

Laughing Cow light cheese wedges - especially the French onion, good on crackers & raw veggies, as well as a baked potato or pasta

Wasa Sourdough Crisps - Low cal, good source of fiber, satisfies the crunchy craving

ETA: OK - in order to get myself back on track with healthier eating habits, I'm making the decision to not buy anything out for lunch or dinner and also to skip Starbucks this week. :fca:
