  1. That pic was taken during the last concert of the JBT series. Clay was forever pulling pranks and jokes on Angela and Quiana, so they decided to get back at him during the last concert. He's sitting and trying to sing, and they are pulling on his nose, trying to take away his mic, etc. etc., but he gets back at them! I'll have to look for the video clack and give you a link - it's HILARIOUS. It makes me ROTFLOL!! ETA: a link to the clip on you tube. The silliness show in the pic starts around 3:18. Thanks, Gibby! I might have to save it for later, though... my house doesn't have central heating and the room I'm in is being heated by a kerosene heater with many, many fumes. I think I better head out, starting to get a headache. And death by kerosene fumes just wouldn't be as fun as death by Stubble!Clay.
  2. If you only knew... I am a little afraid maybe I better off not knowing Back when the board wasn't as busy ... the top of the page post could get very lonely. Sometimes we had to entertain ourselves up there. I don't know I thought the prize was going to be something "dirty" *iz briefly resurrected* Well, if it was muskifest alone at the top of the page... I bet it was! (Or if it was any of the other resident smutters, you know... *eyes them*) *looks at the Stubble!Clay and diez again*
  3. :thjawdrop: Gibby are you trying to killz me??? 'Cause, if you are, you almost succeeded! 5 Stubble!Clay pictures? Well, the one's a beard!Clay picture, but I'll lump it in. May I just say :hubbahubba: ? My offering seems so small now... As for what you win for being at the top of the page--apparently it's a lifetime supply of Stubble!Clay! Because I'm gonna die now. ETA: What on Earth is being done to him in the third picture?
  4. There's a picture of Clay drinking/drunk/possibly holding a red plastic cup in his hand? Because red plastic cups always hold beer, ya know. It's physically impossible for 'em to hold anything else. I am trying to make light, but I also would like to see this picture, if it's available. I don't expect Clay to be a teetotaler (I mean, he has mentioned having had a drink before) so that's not why I'd like to see it. Hey Clay + picture (even if it involves bow ties [and yes I am going to bring that up all the time b/c I think it is haw-larious ] or chef's hats) is always a good thing. But, in a more serious tone, I'd just like to see what you see, Jaycee. ETA: Oooh, look! I'm at the top of the page!
  5. Tribeca--that's awesome! I'm very jealous. *green* I can't help but keep thinking of that story in LTS that Clay told about the guy he built up in his mind to be great? (I forgot his name... I'm bad...) If you only expect your version of the best from someone, they're bound to disappoint you for one reason or another, not the least of which is that their version of the best of themselves is probably different from yours. I'm not attacking you, Jaycee, but I hope you can reconcile both images of Clay in your mind. I think when Clay is at his very best (Unicef work, BAF, Broadway Cares, The Waiting List, etc.) he is a very, very good role model, and even when he is just goofing off with friends doing things for fun or for pay, I suppose (wearing chef's hats, bow ties , Spamalot French Taunters) he is still a better role model than a large chunk of famous people out there. If the worst thing that Clay can do is participate in bawdy comedy and pose funny for private pictures with/for friends, then, personally, I can more than live with that. Because he's a man, a man who does very good things, but also a man who takes time for the silly. I think it extends to his private life as much as possible. I mean, Clay Aiken (as far as I've heard) doesn't smoke or go out clubbing and get hammered. In my opinion, that's a part of his personal life I would very much like to see my kids (if I had any ) emulate. His private life is private, or as much as it can be in our "I'M A FAN, THEREFORE I HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU" culture. What small snippets we do see--honestly, I've never seen anything that bad about them. He wore the chef's hat before he was famous, before he could have imagined the lens his life would be under. If he had never been on American Idol, the person who put the picture on the net probably never would have dug it out--unless they were all sitting around going, "remember the day we wore those hats...?" He's a young human male, he'll do some stupid stuff, but he'll always be Clay and that's what's really important, right? *sheepishly hops off the soapbox and slinks away* ETA: KAndre = :laught31:
  6. I don't see anything about this picture that can be taken that way, Jaycee. I mean, the intentions behind the picture were actually very good--he didn't want to make a new castmember of Spamalot to feel stupid for being dressed up when no one else was so he asked everybody if they could all dress stupidly. That seems like a nice thing to do. Is it the big deal we're making over the arm/crotch escapades? Because that was likely inadvertent or, seeing as how Clay's knee appears to be bent, just a handy place for Rick C. (right?) to rest his arm. As for Clay being further away from the man you thought he was--and I'm going to assume that that means religious since you mentioned the WWJD bracelet and YWT--didn't he say that he was still a religious person when he came out? I'm pretty sure he did, or at least alluded to it, saying that he hated how the connotation between Southern Baptist and gay basher (not his words) existed. I mean, I know I'm probably not going to change your mind, but just thought I'd say. I guess I just don't see anything wrong with these pictures or with the way Clay has behaved, appeared (bow tie included!), spoken, etc since he has come out. Of course, I was only a fan for maybe 2-3 weeks before he came out, so I don't really have a point of reference to compare pre-out of closet Clay and post-out of closet Clay.
  7. Clay fills those pants out really well, ya know... Dunno if it is just the way he's standing, the guy's arm giving some perspective, or what, but while things may not be real clearly defined, those are really nice... pants. ETA: And where is muskifest? She's missing all the fun of having a handy elbow point right at her object of affection!
  8. When the arms of others and the crotch of Clay come in close proximity, it creates a bit of a tizzy, doesn't it? I guess I'm not much of a smutter or anything then, since I concentrated on the wicked hair, not the arm/crotch combo. ETA: Well, in my defense, if I was to spend a night in bed with Clay... there wouldn't be much sleeping going on. EATA: Perhaps I should change the word "wanting" to "expecting" ?
  9. Wow! What awesome+hilarious pictures! (No stubble, sadly, but I'll take what I can get. ) And, may I just add that nope, Asian people don't have any genetic predisposition to smartness--unfortunately! *iz A-jhen* Unless that particular gene just skipped me, in which case-- OK, so my mom and I are playing a really ridiculous game of "Name that Clay Song". She went out to look at washing machines today (ours got brokeded... and I'm going to apologize if my 'Net-English is really bugging any of y'all English majors....) and apparently heard a Clay song in Sears, to which I was totally like, "How many times have you dragged me off to look at washing machines/dishwashers/furniture/etc. and I have never heard a Clay song? You go alone and you hear one! Argh!" Anyway, she comes home and she tells me that she heard one of his songs but can't remember the tune or any of the lyrics, just that she's pretty sure its a Clay song because it sounded like his voice. Well, what's a Claymate to do? I started singing any Clay songs I thought had ever gotten airplay--Invisible, WY, Solitaire, OMWH, RHW, The Way, TITN--but apparently it's not any of them. Apparently it has a long note in it, but it's not loud "like he usually does"... ETA: It's really funny b/c if I had been there or she could give me, I dunno, 3-4 words I would be able to tell her the song.
  10. I hate to sound stupid, but why would RCA sabotage Clay anyway? I mean, I can understand them thinking that he's not the hot thing anymore (especially considering the :2: worthy sales for OMWH) and dropping him, but deliberately bringing him down or something? I guess the incompetence thing just seems more likely. And before anyone starts thinking, "wow, how clueless is clayzy?" I'll point out that this is my first go round on the RCA/Clay train.
  11. I hate to sound sour, but I'm betting it'll be maybe three days before someone files a lawsuit... So... I have a question... Is there anyplace where I can download any music videos other than Invisible? Or were they not released on the internet?
  12. OK, so I love the bow tie and the Professor Aiken look, but my favorite part? The stubble! Oh man am I a stubble fan! Stubba-hubba, Clay! to Couchie and couchie mama and to muskifest. I hope things start looking up for y'all!
  13. Awww. To Couch Tomato and Couch Tomato Mum and to muskifest and all da sick FCA-ers!
  14. I saw on Kimmel that Ryan tried to high five the blind guy...
  15. I had a dream because of the use of his American Idol clips. And boy did I wish it was true once I woke up... Anyway, you know how they've been talking about having younger mentors? Well, Clay was one of them and was appearing on the show as a mentor to plug his new album and his new tour! It was very sad to wake, indeed... Oh, and he was wearing a really, really big bow tie... no idea why, though... ETA: luckiest1--BRRR! How do you stand it?
  16. Hah! Thanks for finding it for me! I think I'll download it , just to try it out--I mean, if I really hate it, I can always delete it.
  17. with regards to my screen name? I got it from the oh so pretty Luka on ER - the gorgeous croation doctor who got drunk one night and tried to say couch potato but said couchtomato instead./ I knew about the string quartet but dont know if I ever heard any of the songs...although I can't believe we wouldn't have clack of it somewhere. That was my first thought too, but I couldn't find any in a quick glance around. I'll probably do a more thorough scour before buying it. If I decide to buy it... jmh123--Oh. I do like string quartet music--as long as there isn't any singing. I listen to string quartets for the strings, interestingly enough, not for them to actually, you know... sing.
  18. I was actually hoping to watch in the faint hope of seeing some of our favorite singer Ruben Studdard BWAH, just kidding! but my mom loves the CBS lineup of procedural, procedural, procedural, so... That's not too bad, though, because I typically hate the audition stuff anyway. I just don't understand why anyone would want to watch a bunch of deluded people sing badly...
  19. to FromClaygary and anyone else that's feeling poorly! Feet up, plenty of Aiken, and some chicken soup! Been making me feel better! Thanks to everybody that offered their condolences on my laptop issues... Apparently, it worked! The "denim" spot of dead pixels is gone! HOORAY! :nana: :04: Yay for Clay being shown on Idol! Any showing is better than no showing, right? Of course, an actual appearance would still be best, but... *hopes/dreams* Hey, random question, did anybody know that there was a string quartet tribute to Clay? I saw it on walmart.com and I'm considering buying it... even though I really can't afford it
  20. I'm sorry, this is O/T but I had to vent a little. My six-month old darling laptop has broken pixels... For NO REASON at all! Argh! I always treat my electronics with lots of care (unlike, say, my brothers... ) but to no avail, it seems. I don't get it. The screen was fine before history class. I put the laptop away for class and when I opened it up again, the pixels were broken. The worst part is, I don't have a warranty b/c I bought this laptop off of woot.com... . . . . Sorry again, just needed to get that out...
  21. Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't realize. It's a football website and the title of an article about a coach retiring said Measure Of A Man--so, it isn't really finding Clay, but I thought it was hilarious.
  22. EEEEE!!! I love nerdy Clay too! I think he looks like that doctor from the Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtle movie... except much, much hotter! Bow tie Clay, no tie Clay, spiky-haired clay, flowing locks Clay... the last word is the really important one, but DAMN he makes a sexy nerd!
  23. I love his glasses too! (And I don't think I'm biased just because I have to wear 'em... ) I wish he'd abandon the contacts and let those studly lenses run free! That was an odd sentence, wasn't it? ETA: STUBBLE! *swoonage* I saw a little picture of him with stubble and American Idol hair once... may I offer a ?
