Claygasm, I lost two cats last year (mid-year) to kidney failure. I have searched my mind and heart a few long nights to remember if I fed them any of that food -- they died well before the recall, but you never know and it breaks my heart to think I could have contributed to their illnesses. That said, I have one cat left - their brother - and he ate the same stuff, so it likely wasn't the food - that's what I want to believe anyway. I changed his food this year to another Nutro type - it's chunks, but not cuts and gravy. I was worried about giving it to him, but it's not on the list and he seems ok with it. I have stopped buying it though and switched to a dry more natural food. He wasn't happy at first, but for a few days I drenched it with the liquid from a can of tuna, or cut up some chicken, and/or mixed in some low sodium chicken broth and he quickly learned to like it. I personally feel better staying away from any wheat gluten for awhile. It's hard to know where these people source their food. But then I'm paranoid too now. Good luck... I think it's pretty skeery. Heh heh! I think it's clear that Clay likes these songs. Maybe Clive wanted him to do a covers album. Doesn't mean Clay hated the idea and is unhappy with the album. Why are so many unwilling to believe the middle ground? "Because he shouldn't have had to settle in the first place", is my guess. You know, cuz he's better and "deserves" more than the rest of us mere mortals who have to work for a living. IMHO, the difference between the bitter and the non, is 1) maturity, and 2) see Gilda Radner quote. I don't mind if other's want to be bitter so much, if that's their way of living, but it definitely harshes my mellow if I'm around it too much and I really dislike when the bitterness creeps into "truth" or the way people think Clay feels. I think he means this... no I think he means that... pointless, IMO. Entertaining, but pointless. I do like hearing how the fans feel and what they, as individuals, think; I just don't like it when they insist their feelings reflect his. I prefer to hear his from him. Which is WHY I like those podcasts. They are Clay's feelings, and I can finally attach some of his thoughts to his songs, instead of what's been trying to creep into my head from the repeated ramming (< -- that was for muski. ) Heh, or what atinal said, much more succinctly. Last night I listed to the whole of ATDW on headphones for the first time ever. I've listened to it plenty, but not on headphones. Man, what a difference. And when you're not singing at the top of your lungs WITH the songs, you can actually hear shit. Hee. Like that lady singing the high parts of BW.

Ha... See... dissin' the sensitivities! LOL Yeah, hearing an artist talk about the songs/album definitely makes me like them/it more. I liked it already, but I love to hear their thoughts put to each song. It's like asking you what your favorite songs are, but also getting WHY they're your favorites. It personalizes it for me. And well podcast #5 totally makes me like that song better. KAndre... what you said earlier about inclusion/mainstream schooling did not sound weird to me at all. I had the exact same experience. They simply didn't know how to mainstream us after shuffling us away from everyone else. It was unfortunate. And I definitely suffered some consequences as a young adult.

Hee. The only reason I cringed a little at that press release is because Celebrity Charities don't qualify for the matching donation, so a fan issuing a press release that looks like it came from the foundation and spotlights the celebrity of the charity isn't very smart, IMO. I hope she didn't cause it to be on the cusp of qualifying. Otherwise, I pretty much give up on fans getting in Clay's business. I am typically of the mindset that Press Releases about Clay's business should come from him/TBAF/his management, but I know that's pretty purist of me. LOL I don't care who gets any credit or anything... it's not that. I just think this one should have been written from a fan/fundraiser/badgestarter POV.
