  1. Clayzorback, the 'model' is just that - you can choose your teeshirt style.

Yours looks terrific, YSRN. I love it! I agree, and I'll change the cap on Did when I take out the Aiken. I don't think we need to use the same font though. I'll wait for opinions on that, and a concensus on the titles. I really thought that that was the humor in the saying, otherwise the 'everything I have' part is just extraneous.

ETA: Do you think the ellipsis would look/fit better with the '...and I have the credit card bills' part, and not on the front part.

    I did Clay

    A Thousand Different Ways

    and gave him

    Everything I Have

    ...and I have the

    CREDIT CARD BILLS

    to prove it!

Also, what do you think about the italicized 'prove'. Yes or No?

  2. cindi, I like the red and black printing myself, but that's because they are my favorite colors in combination. I'll just invest in a new Clorox bleach pen to get rid of the coffee stains I'll inevitably get on the white shirt. *g*

Just checking, though, with two more things -- in order to get around possible copyright violations, I think "a thousand different ways" shouldn't be capitalized. Also, "everything I have" should be "everything I had," both to get around copyright again, and also because I think "everything I had" fits grammatical tense correctly with the rest of the sentence (but then I'm not an English major either...).

Ooh, I thought the whole idea of it was the play on the titles. I can see the possible problem with Aiken, but surely the song titles are not an issue. There are plenty of things they could refer to, same as just 'Clay'. JMO of course. I can make it say whatever people want.

  3. Thanks Pudding for sharing the BA/F story. The Kansas Claymates are an awesome bunch. I have attended at least two of their pre-parties. They do a very nice job. I had the privilege of meeting Diane Bubel at one of those parties. The one held at The Dick Clark Restaurant. She is such a lovely lady. Was very friendly. We chatted for about 5-10 minutes. Kudl has always been friendly to Clay as well. They seemed to play him a lot. I don't know if that is still the case, since Clay is almost non existent on radio anymore.

It seems I have been remiss in welcoming Caro and OOlsee. My apologies..........

I think it is great that Clay has developed a friendship with David Foster. I don't know that I am getting all of the "Father/Son" feeling though. I think it is more than likely that their friendship has developed due to Clay's working with his daughter Jamie, on ATDW. I am betting that Clay performs for free, for David's events. I imagine that to be the main reason he is invited to some of David's events. I say this because of David stating that Clay likes to sleep late and is there to help out. Which is veeeery generous of Clay, if he is. Of course I would like to see him charging for his appearances, because I want him extremely wealthy. :cryingwlaughter: What do you all think? *g* Is he a dad to Clay? Does Clay need another dad?

rcknrllmom, you need to post more.

I'm pretty sure you meant Jaymes, David's sister, not daughter. LOL! I doubt that Clay performed for free at either of the two events this week. They were private functions, not charity events. Now the Gala, that would be different I think. I don't see a father/son relationship personally. I think Clay charms everyone who actually meets and speaks with him on a real basis. I believe they are friends. And David is smart - he knows a glorious voice when he hears one, and has seen first hand the effect Clay has on people (the piano auction springs to mind). Not to mention that yes, Jaymes is his sister and she obviously holds Clay in high regard. I hope that David is mentor to Clay, even if they never have a 'legal' professional relationship. If David's music brought Lover All Alone out of Clay, then he's a hero in my book.

  4. Ordered my pin today. Yipeeeee. Waiting for the T-Shirts.

Now listen up people. I wear my concert Tees out in public. I consider it advertising for Clay. Hee I sleep in them, too. Some I don't wear because I don't want to ruin them. I keep them with my memorabilia stash. Like Laurie McAdams shirt she designed, of Solitaire Clay. Sold on PK website? Or whatever that local T-Shirt shop was called in Raleigh. Anyone remember for sure? I only wore it once, I think, and left it at the hotel. I had to pay, to have them ship it to me. I also save the OFC ones, and don't wear them. My very first T-Shirt I bought from the CB. Glow in the dark lettering on it. Great pic of Clay, who also showed up in the dark venue. It was also the best quality T-Shirt I have bought to date. Red. I loved it.

Cindi, may I just take this opportunity to say that you and Elspeth were two of my very favorite posters at The Clayboard? I always looked for your posts. Just wanted you to know. Good job on everything you have designed.

Aww, thanks very much Clayzorback. *blush* Did you know that Elspeth is the owner of the Clayboard now? And that red shirt is one of my favorite things. The stylized A with Clay in the middle was ingenious. As a matter of fact, I wore mine to the ATDW CD release party in Raleigh (along with my best bud claydictedmom, who also gave me the shirt). I think we may have been the only people at the party in any kind of Clay garb. Oh well! I'd do it again, given the chance.

Okay, back to the shirts.... I have tried the I did Clay ATDW and gave him EIH, and I have the CC bills to prove it. To make that fit on one shirt, the writing is too small (IMO). Even with 'and I have the CC bills' on the back. I'll make it up and post it, but I have no idea how it will actually look on a shirt.

    Something like this...

    th_IDID.jpg

According to cafepress, you can only have front and back printing on the white shirts, not the black

  5. luckiest1 said it all, and thank you very much. She's made of sterner stuff than I, cuz all I did was ride in the car and I was wiped out when I got home this afternoon! Any regret I might have about driving all that way and no Clay is erased by the knowledge of how hard I'd have cried had he been there and we didn't go. It's all good. David Foster has a wonderful, engaging smile and he really seems to enjoy both performing and watching his performers do well. I like him! If he's what Clay wants as his musical mentor, it's fine by me. Josh and Celine might not be everybody's cup of tea, but 100+million cds sold can't be wrong.

Welcome PuddinsJoy!! So glad you joined the party :trink4:

So what would you all like the bursting balloons fella to say? Hmmm???

playbiller wrote (quoting the cruise info)

Join Faye Parker and longtime friend, Frances and the SCRR Beta Alpha Bears onboard as we celebrate Faye’s birthday! Grab your clack and join the weekend getaway

I don't know why. If it's anything like the Raleigh CD release party, she won't let you play it anyway. Heh.

Awww, PuddinsJoy, you posted while I was writing mine I think. What a fantastic story, and thank you for telling us about it. Awesome!!

  6. I don't blame them Play. I kinda figured that was it. It was the vision of Cindy's head spinning that made me laugh.

Heheh, me too. I *kinda* knew it when I posted, I just wasn't sure if it was verbotten (and that's fine), or just not encouraged any more. It was just so freaking fast! Of course there are a few people there whose knickers get in a twist whenever I post, so I'm sure there was some tattling going on.15.gif

  7. ETA: Cindi no ...this was some "offifical" California event in Vancouver... Definitely a new picture..and they took along California's sexiest resident heee ..after seeing the clip..The govenator was their to try to get you Canadians to come to California on vacation. I know the cute singer has already done his fair share in helping the economy.

    Solitaire....weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    send space link

Awesome video - FLOVE seeing Clay right there in the front row. Since the Do Me man lives back home again, the sexiest CA resident is the governator? Hmmm.. dunno about sexy, but he's v. v. cool. Always been a favorite of mine (politics aside - I know nuthin).

  8. FYI, I posted about the pin in a thread (about the tour name) on The CB, and my post was edited so fast I think my head actually did spin. Heh.

ETA: The recommended image size for the Tote Bags is the same as the regular teeshirt (10x10) which is what I based the DCAT stuff on. The template is 2000x2000 pixels at 200dpi, and I did mine at 3000x3000 at 300dpi for a little more clarity (size is the same 10x10")

  9. heee YAY I love the hair. I think it's like wind blown or something. Doesn't look spikey... YAY I love the hair. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Oh and Yay Clay is Californian. heee

Y'all just had to pick on the Moustache Hair didn't ya? Couldn't leave things alone, nooooo. NOW look what you've done!!!

I still wanna Do him though.

ETA: California? I thought he was in Vancouver? Maybe this was from when he was in California at Ahnuld's place? I'se confuuuuuused!

  10. Oooh, I finally get to type it.... Am I alone at FCA? I did not care for The Kite Runner. I just could not 'forgive' the main character, and it coloured my whole perception of the book. Maybe if I talk nice to a certain lucky FCA'er she'll lend me Three Cups of Tea when she's done (as she did The Kite Runner) :medium-smiley-070:

Had to edit, because I keep forgetting to *squish* ldyjocelyn for noticing the banner. Muah Thank you!

  11. I'm ready to move on to other topics. Anybody have a good suggestion?

Can a dime bouce off Clay's butt? Why did that pop into my head when I looked at the photos. Damn, that won't get me into the smutter's hall of fame will it. LOL.

I dunno, but I'm pretty sure the answer is yes! Mac and Cheese butt? I don't think so! I'm willing to take one for the team and find out though. *mouths* Call me, Clay.
