  1. Glad to share the pics - even if they aren't great, it's nice to have them. Hopefully by Feb/Mar I'll actually have figured out the camera, lol.

I don't know if anybody else is interested in this, but for what it's worth, this is an mp3 of Both Sides Now without the tiny crack towards the end. I did it as much as an experiment to see if I could as anything else. It's such a stunning performance. The audio is taken from canfly's video.

Fear, I think Jerry also mentioned the #1 in inclusion stat during his speech at the Gala as well. Very, very cool! I so hope that they can sustain and grown NIP. Things like the Champions of Change awards really bring home how important their work is in a very real way.

I haven't read around a lot so forgive me if this is a repetitious 'factoid' from the recaps, but one of my favorite things was Tyler's little aside about being a 'huge Clay fan' (which met with thunderous applause). It was so freakin' sweet! And not for nuthin', both guys who mentioned being Clay fans (one of the Darius Goes West fellows as well) also received the only standing O's of the night (until BSN). *g*

  2. What a great few days! I am so glad to have gone to both Chicago and Raleigh - Clay is just freaking amazing and he never, ever fails to entertain and impress me. Ever. And then of course he goes and does something like Both Sides Now and kills me dead.

I went through my Chicago photos again - they aren't great but some of them I kept only because he's just too dang beautiful to delete! How about this smile?

  3. As a carb watcher, deep dish doesn't do it for me, either. A thin veggie is more to my liking.

Also, why would anyone have thought Clay was in a Starbucks when he doesn't drink coffee?

I don't drink coffee either, shorty. I LOVE their iced chai tea latte and get it too often!

I watched the Windsor Revival ending again last night and died laughing. Go to 7:30 on Scarlett's video if you don't want to watch the whole thing. Ruben did pretty well ad-libbing on that and of course Clay's quick wit was front and center and his laughing at what happened just makes you join in. My fave after any Footloose!

My one and only front row concert experience (ever) was at Windsor and I literally thought I was going to pee my pants laughing at that. We could actually hear him telling Ruben what had happened (off mic). They really did handle the whole thing like two pros. Ah, good times, good times.

  4. I think I've posted enough about the changes that discovering Clay lead to in my life, so I'll just concentrate on the pictures from the oldest pages of my photobucket.

This is just about the first photo I ever saved of Clay and it was my desktop for about two years. It remains in my top all-time favs.

Another fav.... hmm, that hair looks vaguely familiar.

And just in case that was too holy for ya, I'll just let this one speak for itself...

  5. My greatest wish for him has always been that he can do this for as long as he wants to. 50 yrs sounds pretty damn good to me.

Posted on Facebook a few minutes ago:

We're getting ready to send another email blast to Clay's email list subscribers. If you're not a member yet, sign up at (fan club addy)

I'm guessing this is for the next round of presales.

  6. liney, be happy you waited for the tote bag. The OFC store prices are far better than the concert venue (at least Hammond). The tees are $15 (opposed to $30) and the tote is $10 (opposed to $25).

I *heart* that photo of Clay in the yellow shirt. Guh.

Except that sometimes at OFC the shipping charges are as expensive as the merchandise!

True that! I think ground[ctrl] is more reasonable than Clique was, but yeah.

Still, $55 for a t-shirt and bag opposed to $25 buys a lot of shipping *g*

In case anybody is wondering, the tote bag is actual canvas - not the cheapie grocery bag type material that the fanclub membership bag is made of. It's quite nice!

  7. I thought you could text as well as do FB. I texted and got a message thanks for your vote but then got another text few minutes later saying I could only vote once. My web browser is time warner and my phone is verizon. 2 different email addresses. How can they tell?

Not sure why it gave you that message (unless it's a glitch) but the NIP people on FB say that the text is in addition to an online vote.

I have seen others saying the same thing as you though.

  8. Luckiest, I've ALWAYS wanted to go to one of your Cluncheons! Toronto is only a few hours from me. :) With the move, we'll be getting our licenses changed soon and we're going to get the enhanced ones. Finally!

ETA: I just signed up to vote for NIP via text message. :) Hope they win!

Not luckiest1 but I am her neighbour ;-) We're not quite as far as Toronto even - London is about 2 hrs from Windsor. It would be great to have an international contingent at the Cluncheons!

It cracks me up that the challenge partner for NIP (for the Pepsi refresh) is a rescue organization.... for cats! Heheh.
