  1. canfly, darling...of COURSE you can! That pointy Clay pic I posted is dickable clickable, honey! And count me among the booklovers! I help keep our local library in business. I just got an automated call this morning to notify that two books I'd requested are waiting for me! One of them is called "Girls Like Us" and it's the 'stories' of Carole King, Joni Mitchell and Carly Simon...I haven't started the book yet, but I did read the captions under all the pics and in the Joni Mitchell section there was a pic of her and James Taylor (evidently, Mr. Taylor got around with all three of these women!) The caption read that in an interview Joni said that James Taylor was the best lover she'd ever had! Now THAT's what I call a good interview!
  2. A public service announcement from Dinosaur Muski When I want to talk with a friend, I email or call her...maybe PM if I know we're hanging around the same cyber joint. The last thing I need is another site to need to check in with in order to have a conversation with somebody! The whole Facebook/MySpace/Twitter et al thang gives me the creeps, kind of, anyway. At a recent professional conference, I attended a workshop about the various uses of this social networking craze and what I learned there (a little knowledge is dangerous, of course) skeered me! It's just too easily manipulated, invaded and/or compromised by unknowns and weirdos to make me want (at this time) to get involved. Not that I have anything to hide, of course.
  3. I just received a little book of 'thanks' from a hotel where I negotiated an event contract---one of those little collections of quotes...and when I read this one, I immediately thought of Clay and being a fan... For all that has been, thanks. For all that will be, YES. Dag Hammarskjold
  4. Playing together? Wow, they should get Ginger Baker to join them and call it a Blind Faith Reunion Tour. I'd pay the price for that. A little Sea of Joy, or Can't Find My Way Home would do me good! Yeah, keepingfaith...sounds like a little bit of heaven, doesn't it? I think I'm gonna havta just check out what kinds of seats we could get IF I were to think of actually....you know, buying tickets.....
  5. Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood in Oakland June 29---tickets from $63-$143 each plus any fees on ticketmaster. I'd LOVE to do this with my hubby for combo Father's Day/my birthday present...but the idea of paying $300 for decent seats in this HUGE arena makes me shudder. Never mind what I've paid for Spam tickets... just never mind.
  6. New BAF name? Hmmm...How about "Don't Go Dissin' Disabilities!" No? backtothedrawingboard.... Couchie, good idea re: Three Cups...I'll do that and let you know!
  7. 00lsee....I'm lovin' that man in the banner and lovin' the banner that displays that man!
  8. Crap! Couchie, I went to register as soon as I read your post and it's sold out to any NON-members of that venue association! Crap! I REALLY would love to hear him....(and we could've made a night out of it, too! )
  9. Hey...it's Eonline. The Jenna Bush pic and their 'headline' says it all to me. That conversation could've been a part of a number of contexts and this particular "journalist" gave it the slant he/she wanted. Or it could be right out of the horse's mouth. Who knows. The track list? meh...I guess it's not bad for someone new to Clay...how strange they stuck a Christmas song on at the end! And yeah, "Lover All Alone's" absence? The label would have to pay Clay as the songwriter and that would be promoting him. I hope Clay's busy watching Reed's gorgeous body moving so very sensuously on the stage and I still wonder if he's been to visit Hannah in London yet...I bet they have so much fun together!
  10. Can't see your boobs? Holy hell...I wouldn't know how to walk without being able to see my boobs. I imagine the sensation would be similar to what Clay would feel if he couldn't see his..... feet. Enjoyed the Oscars, although didn't love all the commercials...whoa! Like between every single award. Would've liked more time on the actor/actress awards---showing actual clips from the movie in addition to the words from past winners---and less on the more technical awards...And definitely could've done withOUT Beyonce. I swear, she's performed in just about every awards show, hasn't she? Loved the Jerry Lewis tribute--short and sweet, but wish they'd have shown a bit more of the stars that have died. I liked Queen Latifah's song (I think she looks and sounds really good these days.), but the montage in the background was really difficult to follow, IMO. Hugh Jackman is a BABE to the nth degree! Whew! Eye candy, fo' sho'....seems like a fun family guy, too. Multi-talented... Hmmmm....that sounds familiar...
  11. YEAY! My girl crush won! YEAY! FINALLY! She's so amazing...so very naturally beautiful, so real. I've always loved Kate Winslet. I can go to sleep happy tonight....
  12. This "new" CD with mystery songs on it makes me kinda I mean, ever since Clay had his fans at "Take", many have said they'd pay to hear him sing the phone book. Wouldn't that be a hoot if, when the actual CD is released, the tracks are: 1. "A-Ch" 2. "Ci-Em" 3. "En-G" etc.
  13. Oh....he's aw-ight, I guess....I could take him or leave him ... Or, more likely, I could take him and leave him breathless.
  14. keepingfaith, I'm not really sure, but I thought Eric Roberts had a period of drug abuse or violent behavior or something like that. ETA: from wikipedia
  15. claytonic....my eyes sprung a funny, stinging moisture when I read this. My own history/relationship with a father, then stepfather is similar to Clay's....and I know that the couple of times I got serious about a guy I dated, I was checking him out big time as "potential future father" material. I was determined to marry someone who I believed would be a solid dad to whatever children we might have. That criterion truly, truly had a major influence on whom I eventually DID marry (and have now shared 28 years of my life with)... And I was an EXCELLENT judge of 'future father figure' character! My husband is the father to our two girls that I never had myself. And that makes me all kinds of schmoopie.
  16. OMG...this has nuthin' to do with nuthin', but I'm reading a book in which the main character is a wise-ass--a real joker who always has a smart-assed remark ready. Anyhoo....he asks a female detective who's working a murder case with him, "What's the difference between a computer and a woman?" Wait.... Are you ready? The computer will accept a 3 and a half inch floppy.
  17. That vein in his arm....it makes me think of something.... What IS it? It's on the tip of my tongue Hmmm....I bet if I study that vein picture, it'll come to me....
  18. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LUCKIEST! :nature-smiley-014:
  19. soooooooooooooooo... how long does it take you to make one of these bears And how much would one aforementioned bear cost......hmmmmmm?
  20. Thanks, 00lsee...I'm going to try this one. Audacity was a bit over my simplistic brain! babysteps...
  21. Oy....I'd like to actually LEARN how to be tech savvy. I've spent the last couple of hours on Audacity...trying to figure out how to do my own ringtone...I get to a certain step in the process and then click or move or sneeze wrong and then end up having to start over. I'm not cut out to make things from scratch, I don't think. My fuse is too short with mechanical things. I actually have more patience with living, breathing entities! Guess I'll just deal with my phones' "Hello, Moto" ringtone for a while longer.... heheh.
  22. But Mz Scahlett...how do I get an mp3 to be my phone ringtone? I don't know nuthin' 'bout birthin' ringtones!
  23. Hey, anybody have recommendations where I can get Clay ringtone songs for my phone?
