  1. I just made myself a DVD of Biloxi! Wow was that a great concert or what? I'm going to have to d/l all of the shows now. I played the sucker on 2 of my computers but it won't play on my tv! Any ideas?

Wish I could help you! :/

This radio station is in Padung Sumatra, Indonesia. It's Impossible is #17 this week, up from #25.

From CH. Whee! For some reason, this made me feel happy!

  2. Thanks for the video of the banter/Ruben intro from Clay, kf! God he is a natural isn't he?! I miss him already

    Let's do it again, girls!

Well I wasn't in Biloxi :cry4: but I can say after Reno that generally speaking.... :yeahthat::cocktail: :04:

In fact I like that so much I'm off to nominate it as a thread title. hee

Hey, I said that. And I meant every word. And you're one of the "girls," treenuts, my old Reno road trip buddy! It's been a great summer. I want more.

Hee! I was like, 'did I say that?' Glad you claimed it, but I second that emotion! Let's do it again!

  3. From jclay at CV regarding a couple of tweets from the same person yesterday:

    QUOTE

I was flying to Dallas from LA and he was meeting his kid and Jaymes Foster (Mom) at the gate. very random!

    QUOTE

Clay Aiken was at the Dallas airport to pick up his kid! It's weird to get off a plane & see him.

Oh, yay, if true! Get back from tour to enjoy spending time with Parker. What could be better!

I posted this extreme understatement at CH:

Haven't posted yet about my Biloxi trip...which would not have been possible without my hostess/benefactress merrieeee. Thank you, sweetie. The Beau Rivage is an amazing facility. Beautiful lobbies, upscale shops, many restaurants...and a very comfortable, acoustically blessed theater. The food was terrific, as was the company...and I enjoyed the show even more than I expected to.

Can't wait to see TnT tour in 2011. Should be fantastic. Thanks to keepingfaith gifting me the CD, I've finally been able to listen to all the songs in highest quality and have enjoyed it so much! It was a pleasure to get to know desertrose better and let me tell you, I hope to be like her at some point in my future.

All in all, it was a most excellent trip with most excellent friends. :) And it wouldn't be a Clay party without the eHP and some other new and old friends. Crab legs for breakfast? Who knew! :)

Y'all, I can't really say how much this trip meant to me. Not only getting to see Clay...it was like a shot in my arm and a kick in my pants at the same time. Being around strong, confident women was very beneficial for me. Plus, hey, I got clued in to the mysteries of the 'triple vente' at Starbucks. LOL

    Love y'all. Muah!

In response to the discussion about American Idol yesterday (with some very succinct and, in my opinion, accurate opinionating from keepingfaith), I bring you this:

    Whee!!!!!!

  4. Let's just hope the ladies let him talk! The only time I watch that show is when Clay is on and then I feel like screaming at the TV for them to just STFU and let others talk! Sorry to those who are fans, but after ten minutes I am getting a headache.

    Kim

Well, and shutting all of them up could prove problematic, seeing as how he only has two hands.

    *runs away giggling*

  5. On the weekend, I was delivering Clay tickets to a friend. There was another woman there, who wanted to know who the tickets were for. We said Clay Aiken, she said "oh, I am going to see Michael Buble in concert". We said "ewwww, have fun with that" and she said "that's how I feel about Clay Aiken". :P To each his/her own, I guess..... cryingwlaughter.gif

My in-laws (including 4 adults) are coming to Houston so they can go see the Jonas Brothers. My husband suggested our kids ought to go with them, to which they each replied with vehement variations of ' _____ no!' When I asked the non-Clay fan kid why not, she replied, 'because I actually have taste in music!' LOL

On a side-note, same kid came into my office yesterday saying she had seen Clay on the television at the gym, talking about why he didn't come out while on idol. She said he looked good...and gestured to her chin, indicating the scruff, and said he looked like he had slimmed down. I didn't know which interview she meant, since I haven't seen them all, but when I went to the CNN thread at CH and looked up the Access Hollywood clip, she said that was the one she saw. She laughed because they bleeped him. hee She had a lot of sympathy for the situation he found himself in, probably because she has gay and bi-sexual friends, one of whom was kicked out of his home when he came out.

On another side-note, when I asked Clay-fan kid where she heard "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" she verified that it was first on the movie I mentioned, but that she also has it on her ipod. 'Really? Which version?' 'Frankie Valli' She likes the chorus a lot! hee

  6. While on a trip to Tennessee for my niece's wedding, my Clay-fan kid woke up one morning with 'Can't Take My Eyes Off of You' in her head. I asked where she heard it, if it had just been on the radio or something and she said 'no, it just 'popped into my head'. I laughed and told her that Clay sings that on his new album...and then we proceeded to torment my non-Clay fan kid with our own rendition of this song, especially belting out the chorus. No idea where she heard this song to know the words because she did not even know it was on Clay's album. Maybe from a movie?

I keep hoping some day, somehow, a song by Clay will be featured in a movie, even if just over the credits. This voice deserves to be heard, y'all!

Bwah! Just answered my own question. I bet it was in "

, sung (slightly off-key) by Heath Ledger, complete with marching band. She loves that movie! LOL
  7. Sorry some of you are having trouble logging in. Like the new site's color scheme! Looking good there, Clay!

And I LOVE the look of your soon-to-be new house, merrieeee!

Thanks for the birthday wishes, y'all. Resident male celebrated the occasion with a new iPad. For himself. Still, got the best gift ever when my 16-year old wrote me a heartfelt letter. *sniff* And can y'all believe my eldest graduates from high school in a few days? Lordy.

    keepingfaith, how ya doin'?

Lotus, thanks a lot for getting that song stuck in my head! LOL

  8. OK, that's two goddam hours I'll never get back. They brought every frickin body back from the other season, a bunch of psychos...and NO GODDAM CLAY. I don't CARE who wins AI - I WANTED TO SEE FRICKIN CLAY!

Though Darryl Hall has held up decently in looks (not so much voice) - Christina A. made the finalists sound like dog poo - I kept my fingers crossed that Bret Michaels wouldn't actually drop dead on stage and Janet looked good.

    Feh.

Oh, Mistress Mighty, my apologies for the lost two hours. For this minion failed to remind you that the only way to watch American Idol is on DVR, to enable the fast-forwarding of distasteful scenes, of which there were many. So sorry for my lapse.
