beanerknits Posted February 3 Report Share Posted February 3 Idyl, I'm expecting severe withdraw symptoms once it sinks in that I can no longer get my regular 'Clay news fix'. Another holiday performance would be nice, as Naples Holiday Pops was well received. Thanks to Ruben for getting Clay to sing again. Actually, any event is OK (TV, Broadway, another tour, new music release, residency somewhere), as long as he's performing again. This month has been quite an experience. It was a gig that I’m not used to playing with some new material that I thought was a little out of my wheelhouse. I worked really hard and managed to get a show with over 40 songs under my belt in a matter of days before we played first show. The month on the road was challenging with mostly terrible weather, some interesting routing and venues, and a bus that broke down twice. It was also a lot of laughs with new friends. I feel grateful for this time and the people that have come into my life these past few weeks. I’ve also learned this….You can’t outrun grief. What you can do is make new connections and take each day at a time. Even when the weather is rough, and the bus is broken. The sun still manages to find you on your days off. Thanks To @rubenandclay for this experience. It’s been a pleasure playing for you and getting to know you. Thank you @soundsandsilence and @joshpultz1 for trusting me with this.
