  1. Amen. For all the "bad" that came out of him appearing on this show, so much more "good" came out of it as well. jmh and I were talking about this last night. My husband, while he's watched Clay off and on with me for years, totally understood my upset from the other night. He also got a chance to see Clay in a new and different light, one that hasn't been apparent from other TV appearances. I've heard that other significant others/friends now understand our fascination as well. My hope is that some higher ups in the media, not to mention Clay himself, will be able to parlay this into something even better for him. Oh, and I love that his charity got much more name recognition as well, not to mention a good influx of cash! Celebrity Apprentice Wiki page Check out the chart that includes the money raised. Arsenio's first (but that includes the $250,000 from Trump, which I don't believe should be counted toward a total during the show proper); Paul Teutel is second (only because of that really good friend of his); and then Clay. Dee did really well with his single task, but Clay's total was larger.

  4. jmh, I had that part figured out. *g* Thankfully, Clay answered my question (and also deleted that previous tweet in the process) with this new tweet:
  5. Anybody know what this tweet from Clay is all about?
  6. Facebook album from last night (via the darling Nikikiwi!) Debbie Gibson's Blog

  10. From the CH: ETA: on my iPad. Cannot get link. Can someone bring it over please?
  11. Supposedly he sang UM and "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You." *counts the moments until I start reading about his choices of music again* *sigh*

  17. From the National Inclusion Project Gala page (couchie, you're off the hook re: Lisa!) Didn't I mention something the other day about him gaining new friends that he could bring into the Project fold? *g*
  18. kimiye, I don't blame you at all. Just find it a bit weird and, shall we say, "Claycentric," to request that in the first place. I found the whole song magical, and a heck of a lot of fun1
  19. *start barker voice* Get your pitchforks here! Only cost is a donation to the National Inclusion Project! *end barker voice* Although I wouldn't want a pitchfork anyway...and I made not one but two donations. (couchie, we can count one of them as from you...) Totally on board with those here who don't want to feel the Arsenio hate. I mean really -- stripping away Arsenio from the "Lean on Me" duet? Really? Now, I can understand the hatred toward the show and Mr. Trump, but I hope that doesn't fester for years and years the way the AI hate did. I may have to hide in May 2013... This is from an interview with Arsenio I just got in my Google news this morning: "Celebrity Apprentice": Arsenio Hall on Clay Aiken's comedic talents and a Return to Late-Night TV ETA: Just for the record, I'm back to really hating Twitter again. I love getting Clay's tweets; but I've seen some really nasty shit come through in the past few days. It's that "direct line of communication" thing that drives me bonkers. (And yes, I've said that as a person who actually knows that Clay read one of my tweets...)
  20. I think their friendship is genuine too, especially after seeing the tweets tonight. If this year was any indication, he'll be on one episode next year, when they get down to the final few. From the Gala's page:
