  1. Still no e-mail and I tried twice...any ideas?

    Kim

Did you check your spam? And just in case (because it's something I would do) do you have more than one email addy you use? If so - are you sure which on the OFC is using? I will say that I got my email almost instantly so if you still haven't maybe you'll need to submit a ticket. support@groundctrl.com

There's a page at Twitter (use @clayaiken for the search) where people are asking questions. I'm still waiting for the site to propagate through the Internet, too, Aikim. We must be at the wrong end of Cyberspace.

  2. Go check out clayonline.com -- it opens as clayaiken.com and it's CHANGED!

Includes You Tube promo for Tried & True.

Memberships are the same price as before and the Ultimate Membership premiums are a mousepad, a keychain, and a tote bag.

    EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Every time I type in clayaiken.com, it reverts back to clayonline.com. I tried signing out, deleting temp. Internet files/history, etc.; but I can't get the new site.

I didn't receive an email, so I wonder if everyone is on the same time frame. I had to pay dues in February, I think. Anybody else getting this result?

    Caro :listen:

No. I typed in clayonline and clayaiken.com opened, and continues to open. I didn't get an email, and don't have an existing relationship with ground ctrl.

At the bottom of the opening page it says "Expand" and an audio player opens with Mack, UM, and CTMEOOY. I can't log in, but I can access everything except Renew and the Forum. It's GREAT.

My timing was ON for a change. I must have clicked on the old site just at switch time. I was so shocked that it scared me at first when I saw the new picture!

    But Unchained Melody!!! Hell yeah!!!!

Shucks, mine is still run by Sparkart! Definitely not the new pix, etc. I think I'll check my spam mail. :)

I taught my senior piano student this afternoon for the last time. She will graduate the first week of June and head to NC State this fall. What a blast she has been! :)

Early this morning I posted a new Carolina blog. For some reason, Google's crawlers are not catching the blog or my multiple pings. I think I'm up to six or seven by now. :whistling-1:

Anyway, here's the link: Carolina On My Mind. The topics are everything you have been discussing. Graphics are by AmazingCA and Fountaindawg. There is just the hint of spring recital clack at the bottom in the form of an eight-year-old pianist. His final spring lesson was Tuesday after a class picnic; and the suave, polished performer was hidden behind a full palette of face paints. :cryingwlaughter:

I'm watching Idol and I don't see how either of these two are going to have careers, must less set the world on fire. Lee D. is singing his "winner's first single" song -- and it's a cover. U2's Beautiful Day. A sad version, I must say.

Last night I watched S9 for the very first time, and I totally agree, keepingfaith. Still have my fingers crossed for tonight. It certainly makes sense from the promotion of the Timeless Tour to Clay's new CD to the first finalist to have a PBS Special! Oh, yeah, let me at 'em!!! :flirtysmile3:

Loving the Decca previews (right now, in fact)! Y'all have a great week! :snoopy:

    Caro :listen:

  5. I have a question. While I understand the desire and importance of Clay's special doing well in a preview showing, I wonder what sort of standard it will set and how he will be judged by it. If Clay fans nation-wide pledge to one station like this, is that what will be expected at any subsequent airings in order for it to be deemed successful? Is this something that would be expected of any pledge-drive programming or is this a special case?

Good points, cindilu2! I don't suppose we can pledge to our local stations citing Clay's Chicago preview as the reason for our June donation, Pink. :flirtysmile3:

I'm off to teach. Y'all have a great afternoon! :twinklewhore:

Long day and the final lessons before our recital Sunday. With just enough time to throw on some clothes and head to the studio down the road, I uploaded a new Carolina On My Mind this afternoon.

Marking the seven-year anniversary of 5/20/03, the entry celebrates the beginning of Clay's musical career and charitable endeavors, as well as the close friendships formed with and by his fans worldwide.

Featured are SueReu's "Amazing Seven Year Journey" montage, a commemorative essay by Mamarose10, and Billboard's T&T review.

Hope you enjoy. Thank you to those who visit and comment in the Internet Clay blogs. :snoopy:

Have a wonderful weekend, all! :BlowKiss:

  7. I'm glad you're cool with it all and optimistic. I'd have to say 2006 was quite a... different year than 2010 in just about every way imaginable. And yeah, that's about all I'll say about that.

I have my graduation ceremony this evening - who'd have thought I'd be getting a diploma at mumbletymumble years old??? It remains to be seen if I throw my cap in the air. :cryingwlaughter:

Congratulations, Cindy! Wish we could all be there to cheer for you!

  8. The press release for the WTTW premiere of the PBS special, via the CH. I'm still looking for the link:

WTTW11 to debut new music special –Clay Aiken: Tried & True – Live! to premiere Saturday, June 12 at 7:00 pm CDT

Chicago – May 17, 2010 – All it took was a few bars of an old Heatwave song, and Clay Aiken was on his way. American Idol viewers in January 2003 were taken by surprise when an unknown singer strode confidently into the audition room, announced to the judges that he was their choice, and backed up that claim with an electrifying rendition of "Always and Forever" that instantly caught the attention of millions watching at home. Many of them -- like judge Randy Jackson -- must have wondered, "Where is that voice coming from?" Well, Clay knew…and he's never looked back.

Idyj, hope you find a link for this! I have the information in my blog, but not the official release. Here is a link in pdf format: Chicago Preview.

    keepingfaith, all the best! :friends:

Thnx to those who have visited the Carolina blog. There have been lots of hits but few comments, and the entry was replaced on Google by an older Carolina blog. As long as live, I will never understand that site.

I sent all my students a link so they could read the spring recital segment. Wednesday the "Chopin Waltz" came in with a grin on her face, and she finally played her piece flawlessly. Today the fiddle group has a dress rehearsal. Cross your fingers that four sixth graders listen to each other enough to stay together in a very live hall. :whistling-1:

Have a wonderful day in this wonderful month of Clay! :twinklewhore:

The new Carolina On My Mind blog includes the latest "gifts" Decca and International Media have unveiled for fans, including the video of Clay discussing the making of T&T, Chicago's good fortune with the June 12 PBS Special preview, new graphics (three B&W by Fountaindawg and one by LovesClaysVoice), plus an overview of Sunday's spring recital.

The latter is taking up much of my time, so I have been in and out for days. My students will be thrilled that their names are in the recital segment. :)

Many thnx for your news/links/art/excitement/etc. that contribute to the Carolina entries. Thank you, too, for your comments and hits that help us keep the Internet Clay blogs in the running at Google. :snoopy:

Everyone is driving me crazy talking about "Suspicious Minds." I have no luck with downloads, so I can only imagine what you are describing. :clay:

EmoticonEEEEE.gif What an exciting time to be a Clay fan!

Have a great day, all! :yahoo:

I don't know why "comment blogs" take more time, but they do. I visited several sites to collect the fan and NJU reactions to "Tried & True" previews and PBS Special promo. Title for this Carolina blog is Clay Aiken Fans Herald CD News.

Lots of links, graphics (Fountaindawg, AmazingCA, LovesClaysVoice) accompany the quotes of many fans. I even included a PG version of cindilu2's "holy #%" Supernova Moment about UM. Hope you enjoy!

Thank you for your comments. Please share reactions from your friends/family/associates. I sent links to many in my address book, so. I'm pretty sure there will be a "Take 2" of this blog. :whistling-1:

I hope to see the day that what a person does in the privacy of his own bedroom is NOT NEWS. It is so none of our business.

Have a great evening and an awesome week, all! :twinklewhore:

Just before the two tracks hit on Tuesday I uploaded a most prophetic Carolina entry: Clay Aiken T&T Album Buzz Builds. Here are the specs:

At 20 days out, promotional buzz for Clay Aiken's "Tried & True" album with Decca is the perfect example of a steadily building crescendo. Fans honor the life of Yollie950, a dedicated CA fan known around the world for her wonderful montages of the singer.

I suspected tracks were coming, so already had links for MySpace and added the others as they happened. Thnx to a plug at Ideal Idol, there are lots of hits. Your comments/visits are always appreciated. I'm sure Yollie's family will appreciate being able to read how much she was appreciated by Clay's fans.

Just listened to everything iTunes had to offer. What do you say after that? Maybe I'm amazed. That "said" in Crying sent me for a loop. I am amazed. What a sound. What a sound.

Oh, yes! There are so many beautiful sounds in 'Crying'. While UM blew my mind with it's power and (sorry, I've run out of descriptors), I don't think he's ever sounded more beautiful than on Crying. He made sounds with his voice that I don't think I've ever heard before. Seriously other-worldly. GAH!!

I have never had luck with iTunes, so I am salivating reading all the adjectives. Are you able to download the snippets? That might make me try loading iTunes again, LOL! :whistling-1:

Felt like crap last night. I can't tell if I've got the flu, or if it's my allergies, or what.[snip]

Wow, he sounds fantastic. That's the word I keep using -- fantastic. This is going to be a fun album, and I can't wait to have it in my hot little hands!

bottlecap, I agree with you on wanting to see all the credits for this album. The musicianship of everyone involved is phenomenal!

 Feel better, Idyj. I second or third Bottle's desire to see the credits. :snoopy:

Have a special day, all! :BlowKiss:

  12. Happy Mother's Day, FCA! :BlowKiss:

Sorry I'm so late but my brother and his son were here this weekend for graduation performances. My nephew and I had a computer cafe running on my router late into the night. Youth won out, and he was up playing video games into the wee hours. :th_yawn:

I finally uploaded my Mother's Day blog at Carolina On My Mind. Featured are the National Inclusion Project's Pepsi Challenge, a fundraiser very close to Faye's heart; remembrances of Mama Mac (the "character" who was my mother); some older Mother's Day graphics (AmazingCA, cindilu2, Sally, Fountaindawg) ; and a piece honoring all mothers. There's bound to be something there for everyone. :)

Tweets, FB reposts, comments, hits, etc., will be appreciated. Thank you for your support of the Internet Clay blogs!

Great blog, Caro! And thanks again for all the yummy caps, bottle

Again, many thnx, tree, Cindy, and all who drop by.

I have missed watching Clay's T&T promo this weekend, so first thing I did after the guys left was hit YouTube. Last night I played it for my brother, who is not a Clay fan. I asked him what he thought. He said he didn't know who it was, but it was fantastic! EUREKA!!! :yahoo:

A former bass student from my Nashville teaching days just called "his other mother" to wish her a happy day. I told him to scroll down to the second Carolina blog entry and watch the video. Even before he saw it, he said, "Big band and Broadway are what Clay Aiken was meant to sing." I'll let you know his reaction, but I'm sure it will be off the charts. :dancetom:

Have a wonderful evening, all! :snoopy:

Besides Goldarngirl's wonderful comment from the teacher, that string of "Unchained Melody" descriptions by FCA members is amazing:

    The airplane moment (luckiest1)

Supernova moment ... he goes from zero to holy-shit-what-was-that??? in about 5 seconds (cindilu2)

    Orgasmic (lilyshine)

I can't wait to experience all that! :whistling-1:

Many thnx for your visits/comments to the Carolina On My Mind blog. This morning I added wallpapers by Fountaindawg, more screen caps (bottlecap, cotton), and a few comments from the Int'l Media YouTube channel. Enjoy!

    Happy TGIF, all! :BlowKiss:

Ever hit a key and wipe out an entire computer project? That happened to me Tuesday just as I was finishing the new blog's final segment on the Nashville flood, so Carolina On My Mind is a "Take 2" from beginning to end. Whew!

Covered are the excitement surrounding the addition of three new photos to the "Clay Aiken Tried & True Live!" page, a complete listing of Timeless Tour ticket sales dates, new photo graphic by Cotton, SueReu's Clay-Ruben montage, Sendspace downloads of the Clearwater radio spot in audio and video (Fountaindawg) and reports from Nashville's catastrophic flood.

Though she's not identified, you will recognize a quote by cindilu2 RE the new pictures of Clay. :cryingwlaughter:

I finally heard from my good friend in Nashville at 9 p.m. last night. Our area (Bellevue) was hit particularly hard, which she described in detail. I used some of her impressions/reports in this entry. Like me, she was preparing for spring recitals, etc. Much is on hold in Music City.

Today I look forward to enjoying the boards instead of compiling a blog twice. Thank you for your visits and comments. Have a great Wednesday, all! :BlowKiss:

:whee: Adding my "Yay for the Promotion" cheer! WOOHOO!!!

When I put together a blog, I am away from the mainstream more than ever; so I have been catching up all afternoon. The lead from Carolina On My Mind: Clay Aiken Photos Spotlight Triangle provides an overview of the entry:

New Clay Aiken photos from the singer's Vincent Soyez Tried & True shoot, initial promotion of the August PBS Special by International Media, and CD release party plans for Raleigh, NC, and Red Bank, NJ, are making May seem a lot like Christmas.

Three Soyez photos from the Examiner article and a graphic by AmazingCA accompany the blog. Hope you enjoy! Many thnx to those who visit and comment in the Carolina blog, as well as repost about the entries at Facebook and Twitter.

While compiling this entry, I helped the mother of a six-year-old tune her daughter's violin ... over the phone. I may have to add that story.

Have an awesome week, all! :yahoo:

The new Carolina On My Mind entry features the latest news about the deluxe CD listing, graphics from the T&T photo shoot/B&N pix, and celebrates the blog's visitors from 145 countries, 11 of which are new!

Looking forward to high resolution photos; however, Fountaindawg created regular and wide screen wallpapers from the one we have, and Cotton made a neat graphic from the B&N pix. :)

Thank you for your comments and assistance in keeping the Internet Clay blogs relevant so the global community finds them at Google. Enjoy! :snoopy:

I suppose there's a certain degree of irony in my saying THANK GOD I'm a heathen and don't have to carry around all this sin-bullshit baggage.

Been laughing about this off and on all day, wanda! :cryingwlaughter:

Have an awesome week, all! :BlowKiss:

  17. Hello!

Love the picture and saw it just in time before leaving to teach at the academy. I added it to the Carolina blog the minute it appeared on the OFC. :snoopy:

Didn't see the LKL tweet/post until I got home after 6. I'm kind of glad Clay wasn't there. He spent the interviews leading into OMWH being asked about his sexuality instead talking about the CD. I don't trust Larry all that much. :smack:

Have a great weekend, all! :yahoo:
