  1. Anybody recognize the bald guy sort of behind Clay? He reminds me of an actor - NY guy - who used to play a cop/sidekick in the TV series Due North or Due South - about the Mountie working with the NY Police Dept? Anybody? The character's name was Ray. How's that for obscure?! Love the pics!
  2. Re: the Christmas Stories . . . Since I don't see a concert I can attend, even though I might normally enter, I don't anticipate entering this one. Even though I come from a long line of Southern story-telling folk. However, I just thought I'd suggest counting the sentences in many of the posts from today. Many are much longer than 20 sentences. Clay's blog said no less than 5 sentences (I think) and no more than 20 (I'm pretty sure). That's not a very long story. And if it gives him something to play off of, I don't see the harm. I don't think anyone who is on "the list" will be one of the onstage folks. I can see Clay really making this a good time. And sometimes it may not work - like the non-stop talker in the balcony in Orlando. :mockery-046: I just personally don't see getting worried about it. Kind of like some judged the JNT05 before or without ever seeing it. I loved his Christmas play. And i don't mind people who saw it and it wasn't their cuppa. But I hope people won't go apeshit prejudging and not giving him a chance. He knows how to mount (heh) a good show. I just wish I was one of the lucky ones with tickets (or anticipated tickets) for this tour.
  3. I think he stumbles - changes his wording - in his sentence - and that's why it's kind of hard to understand. This is what I hear . . . "I can grab a - learned how to hail a cab."
  4. Thanks, bottlecap! One reason I love his hair in the videos - it looks like it has little or no product - SO-O-O-O touchable!!! Humina humina! Yeah, Gibby! That! heh
  5. And one from ET. I think his hair looks great in the videos. Something about the still pictures doesn't show how good he looks. I think he's so animated, the still photographers (who are not ClackGoddesse!) just can't keep up!
  6. I took a screencap from The Insider. Love his smile! Thanks for the headsup!
  7. EEEEE !!! Is this thread title from my post?! Page one! Just in time to go to bed! :F_05BL17blowkiss: (Nice pics!)
  8. Hey, canooky! I don't think I've ever cried over Clay - or as a result of his singing/songs, either. I know he's smarter than I am - and knows a Hell of a lot more about his career/the business than I do. I never listen to the radio, so if he gets a song played on the radio, I'll only know about it if someone posts about it. I do watch a lot of tv, so I'd love for him to appear in some capacity frequently! Re: Rewind- I had no interest in Season 1, but knowing he will be part of Season 2, I'm sure I'll be watching. I also think it's smart of him to be part of it. I wonder if his involvement 'colored' the content at all. And I hope he does/did make a bucket of $$ for his part! Could someone please pass me some chocolate! I'm craving big time!
  9. So are the Saturday and Sunday American Idol Rewind the same just repeated? Or are they two different shows?
  10. Nope. Not alone. Too "pretty" for my taste. Doesn't look like Clay to me. I love last year's JNT long hair look. Loved the SRHP look. CD RCA hair-in-eyes too much eye makeup or dyed lashes - overdone look . . . not so much. But that's just me! Nighty Night, All!
  11. Hey! I won the WHITEST HAIR AWARD!!! There was a male winner and a female winner. He and I told the rest of them that we'd rather our hair TURN WHITE THAN TURN LOOSE!!!
  12. Thinly veiled attempt to up post count . . . heh My 25th HS reunion. (Ages ago!) There was an EXTREME nerd in our class who moved before HS, Mike. He was the poster boy for Nerd. Skinny. Greased down black hair. Glasses. Nose too big for the rest of him. But still a popular guy. Funny. Not outstanding as a student, but friendly well-liked guy. HS reunion? This ABSOLUTE HUNK! Tall. Dark. Built. Handsome. I mean, Gorgeous! Who was it? Mike! Boy. He didn't need to say a word! Let me tell you . . . there were jaws on the floor that night!! Two other nerds - who continued on with us - both poor guys. Both brilliant. White shirts. Black pants. Unremarkable looks. At the HS reunion - we discovered that one was an International Agricultural Ambassador, or some such, with the Federal Government - and the other was a big muckity muck with the Mormon Church. And then there were the rest of us! :cryingwlaughter: Guess all three of them had the last laugh, huh?
  13. I think I'll say goodnight! I just had to post once more - couldn't go to bed with my post count at #13!!!
  14. Hi All! I think one thing that has evolved is his enunciation and pronunciation. I think when he was younger he had more "Southern" pronunciation creeping into his singing. Maybe that's not voice, per se, but technique. He still has a Southern accent, but there is a more rounded sound on some vowels, where there used to be more flatness. (NOT pitch! He's very rarely off pitch!!) Like the 'uh' sound. Also, he has let go of some over-enunciation and has a more natural pronunciation. I agree with others who have said he has learned he can feather notes and not always power through them. He has let some romance come into his voice, IMO. He has always had the VOICE! But, boy has he ever learned to use his instrument! heh
  15. I don't have photoshop, but here are three pictures I just posted in my photobucket account. From WPB. If anyone is inclined to use them in a banner.
  16. Who wants to tell clayloopy that Greensborough . . . is actually Greensboro . . . ??? I know. I'm bad.
  17. Good Morning, All! Hope everyone has a good day! It's starting to almost seem like fall here. Several days under 80ยบ for the high and actually hit in the high 50's overnight! Wonder what The Aiken is up to? It looks like I'll be walking Raleigh and Durham for a good long while!
  18. Interesting question, Alice. Speaking of word choices, this one intrigued me. To me, ruminate implies thinking about something over and over in a way that is a bit compulsive. That might not at all be what Clay meant, but it did make me wonder about his thinking process. I probably think of the word that way because that is the connotation in my line of work. He probably just meant thinking a bit. Who knows? Actually, I surprised no one called him on using the word incorrectly. ??? Percolate would have been a better choice. He said he let the idea ruminate. Ideas don't ruminate, people do. Or if he'd said I ruminated on it, that would have been better. Yes, I do get the urge to get out the red pen and use it on Mr. I Correct People's Grammar. Why do you ask?
  19. I think we've found a good name for the coming tour... Did you say the Coming tour??? heh
  20. Okay - those two things together - just really weird! *looks around for wacky emotiguy unsuccessfully*
  21. Bwah! I think the boy used foam on EVERYTHING! Including his HAIR!!! I had two over ripe bananas today so I googled . . . "two ripe bananas recipe" . . . And found a recipe that required only two and not three bananas! Yay, me! Anybody want a slice? It's really good! RE: Clay and the last couple of days - Yeah, I don't get how it's okay to bash Clay and/or his friends, family in some quarters. I just don't get it. I love to hear him sing. I love to hear him talk. I love to hear him laugh. And I figure he knows a hell of a lot more about running his career than I do.
  22. Oh my goodness! First thing I thought about when someone mentioned blackberries! Except we walked the tracks for Nannie to make pie! Yum! And - sorry for the liver haters, I had liver and onions for lunch and it was Yum-O! Nothing to add to the Clay discussion. I'm just waiting for him to turn the page - cuz can't wait to see what comes next!
