  1. I am lucky. My hubby gets up with me at 5am and makes coffee for me while I am getting dressed then we watch the dvr of Leno while I am eating before I take off for work. My schedule varies every week. Nurses work three 12 hour shifts a week. When we are busy I may work more. Because he was going to school he just stayed up and worked on his projects. Then there were the days he went skiing. I think he had 400 hours of ski patrol time to my 300 hours.
  2. Aikim My husband was forced to retire two years ago and I jokely gave him 4 rules to follow. 1. When I get up in the morning to do ask me what I am doing that day. 2. I want no comment when I say I am going out to lunch with the girls. 3. When I go shopping he is not to ask what is in the bags when I get home. 4. Lastley he is not to ask me every day at 12 noon whats for lunch. He pretty much sticks to them I alsways laugh when I am home at lunch time and he comes into the kitchen and starts his own lunch. He trains well. He to is a handy man and we never get outside help. He worked on projects but did go back to school and in two weeks finishes his second masters degree. I am working full time hours but not considered full time so have no benifits. The company he worked for turned the pension over to the goverment so our pension was dropped by 60% and our health insurance taken away. I never thought I ould be working so much this late in life.
  3. I have the same request as Aikim. I can not make dvd and would love a copy of the concert. I also would be willing to pay for shipping and cost of the dvd.
  4. Love those pictures. The second one from Waukegan. Aikim you had a much better view than me during the burlesque theme. My concert buddy pictures turned out pretty good. I took two of them, made 8x10's and took them to my mother who is in assisted living. When I left for the concert she told me it was not fair. I have taken her to three concerts but her health is worse and I do not think she can travel anymore. Glad to see he is in NYC. Hope that means he is dotting the I's and crossing the T's for his next project.
  5. I so much wanted to see another concert. If I could of swong it I would of followed to Minn. By friend and I thought about for a second and then said we really had to get home. She had a husband who gave her a really hard time about going to Waukegan and the fact he had to be a "Father" to her 13 year old daughter. She called me on Sunday and could not believe what he had done. Her daughter was in a science fair this last weekend. They were suppose to register on Friday, she called and they did. Then on Sat. he was suppose to be there with her from 8-5. He went and stayed one hour and then picked her up at the end. She had no one from her school there. I told her I would not comment on what I thought. So I know that it would never happened about us going on to Minn. We want be able to go to another event when Clay appears again.
  6. I just wanted to say that I had a great time last night. Clay's voice was out of this world and he so does feel the music when he sings. His hands are a work of art. So happy to meet Idyjocelyn and Akim last night. It is so nice to put a face to what you read. I wish so much that this was not my only concert. My concert buddy and I so much wanted to make the car go to Minn. this morning, but we had to be responsible(I guess work and family does matter).
  7. Been busy doing ski patrol the last couple of days but have viewed some clack and love it. Rocker Clay was great last night. I can't wait for my concert. Be back tonight to read about the concert.
  8. I am here and reading comments. Loved the performance and he is looking fine. Can't wait to see him on 3/4.
  9. I have manage to stay away from most of the 15 kinds of cookies I made during the Holidays. I keep giving them away. I have so far kept off the 25 pounds I lost in the fall. I do want another 10 off. I think it will be slower but that is ok as long as I do it. I hope we get clack of the Broadway show, I miss him! Off to ski. It is my 34th Wedding Aniv. today. We went skiing on our honeymoom, so we decided we would go today then out to dinner(food again!)
  10. Happy New Year to everyone. I do not think I will last to midnight because I have to be up at 5am for work. I will probably just get to sleep when my three boys will call. Looking forward to the new year and seeing Clay in concert. I hope he has other things that he will thrill us with. Miss him when he is hiding.
  11. Stopping by to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Been working all day to get everything ready for early am tomorrow. Waiting for my hubby to get home from ski patrol then off to dinner and church. Will check in tomorrow pm when all company has left.
  12. I hate ice and driving on it is even worse. We are suppose to get about 9 inches of snow through tomorrow. I had ski patrol today and it was great, Snow was nice and the temp was in the 30's. I have it again on Monday and it is going to be really cold.
  13. has not set their status

  14. Got up and got my voting in early then preparing food. Going to my son's house so only have an appetizer, yam casserole and green beans to make. Hope all of you have a great day. I get to be with my grandson, who is now 19 months old, and has now moved within 1 mile of my home. It sure beats looking at him on skype!! Happy Thanksgiving.
  15. Akim that diaper cake is really cute. Is this for the daughter that got married in 2008. Remember my son and her got married on the same day. My son and his wife are not ready yet. Let me say my son is not ready I think my DIL really wants a baby. Her time will come.
  16. Just dropping in to say HI!. Have not posted much but still come on everyday and read. Voting also on the Pepsi challenge. Wish that gorgeous man would come out of his cave, I miss him.
  17. Love reading your comments. It sucks sometimes not having cable. I hope it will not be long before the downloads are available. Saw the small piece on the website and he sounded and looked good.
  18. Casey is so tiny, I am so jealous. They look good together. Just downloaded and watch the segment with Arlene. It was priceless, he is so cute.
  19. Happy Birthday Keeping Faith. :04: Well have you all beat. Just finished my HoneyCrisp apple(Kroger had them for $1.88lb) and had two candy corns to top off lunch. Trying to loose a few pounds so could not have anymore.
  20. Mine is even less: 6 concerts 3 Spam Will be going to 1 TNT in Waukengan. To this day I could kick myself for not going to Clio for NAT. I live 20 miles from the venue, did not know anyone who would go with me, and I had not been to a concert by myself. After I read the paper on Sunday morning about the concert it made me sad that I gave up the chance to go.
  21. I got Center Lt. Row F seats 11 and 13 today for Waukengan, not to bad. I did not want to refresh and get worse so we took them.
  22. Because of Clay I actually began using a computer. We had one in the house but I never touched it. I was afraid of it. I went to the library one day and went to a couple of sites. I started going there every few days and kept finding new information and printing articles. I still have them in a drawer to this day. Finally in July 2004 I told my hubby that I had been going to the library and he went on our very old computer and showed me a few things. We were on dial up and it was so slow but I could at least read and see pictures without having to leave the house. I continued to get up everyday and catch up but did not get brave enough to actually join a message board to two years later. In July 2006 my hubby came to me and said that my birthday was near and would I like a laptop for it and DSL was now available. I jumped on that and have not looked back. I still do not post alot but am much more comfortable now then before and I enjoy reading everyones opinion. May not agree all the time but that is ok. One of my closet friends has come through our love of Clay. We were in the same club together but because our schedules were differnt and all my children are grown and she had an 8 year old at the time our paths were different. We started talking one day I loaned her Learning to Sing and we have not looked back since. We have been to three concerts together and went to NY to see Spamalot. We have so much fun it has been great. We take alot of grief from her 12 year old daughter but we give it right back to her. I have loved so many pictures of Clay but I also love the one on the couch the best and all of the ones from that time period. He was gorgeous. But even though I did not love the hair on the TT, when he walked on stage I held my breath. He was so handsome, even with the spiked hair, and I could not believe how thin he was. I could not take my eyes off of him. It was hard for me to look at Ruben when Clay would go to the side of the stage. It always amazes me how so many people who did not know each other have become such good friend from the message boards. He is so neat to hear all the fun and the stories told whenever Clay performs. If it also was not for clack I do not know what I would do. I do not have the financial means to go to more than one concert a tour and I enjoy watching the things I miss. The special appearances and the Galas are so great to be able to see. I am loving everything that I have learned and seen for the last 7 years and I look forward to many more years of enjoying the talent that is Clay
  23. Love the house Merrieeee Tomorrow we leave on our 5 day bike tour. I had the flu for the last two days so I hope I can ride 70 miles tomorrow. The weather for the next two days does not look promising. Rain, high winds, and hot. I hope they are wrong! Maybe while I am gone Clay's team will announce a concert closer to me. I can dream can't I. I am still hoping for Ann Arbor.
  24. I am so sorry Couchie you are in my thoughts. Take care of yourself.
