  1. Totally off-topic but I have a request from canfly. Couchie, she wants to know why Tomato and not Potato. Lord, we need a blog or something.
  2. They actually showed him a couple of more times. A shot from his audition and one with him in the background from when Ruben got picked as one of the two from his group to go on. Really hope this means we'll get to see or hear him on the show this season. Have a like/hate relationship with the show. It's kind of like a train wreck. You don't want to watch but you can't help yourself. However, I wouldn't miss it if it got cancelled because I'm really tired of it anymore. Haven't appreciated how they have treated Clay in the past and there has been no one that interested me since Clay. Not saying I haven't enjoyed some performances but the performers, meh.
  3. FromClaygary, that picture is so adorable. I love that man of many faces. I really hope they do release another single because I love this cd and think its a shame that more people didn't hear it. Who do I have to kill to make sure Clay gets the same kind of promo as Kelly. Someone point me in their direction. I read at CV that Clay isn't listed at another place on RCA's site. I don't go there and have no idea what it would mean anyway, but I do wonder what it means for Clay's future. I'm no fan of RCA. Think they have done a terrible job at promoting Clay for whatever reason, although I tend to think a lot has to do with incompetency. Seems to be a trend in all segments of the business sector for quite a few years. That and greed. However, if Clay is no longer with them, I hope it is because there is something better out there for him and not more of the same. Sure hope when Jaymes said the best is yet to come, she knew about definite prospects in the near future and not as just a way to uplift the fandom.
  4. ditto ditto..I personally think there is a line where it gets cruel..of course my line is probably in a different place then most people's lol I never look at someone and think how bad they look, so I cant understand how thats helpful...of course everyone isnt like me...to their help probably lol I'm posthoing but I missed this while I was typing. Smitten, I think it would be better if more people were like you. I don't think I've ever seen you write a negative post.
  5. I haven't read at the OFC today but is it just the usual suspects stirring the pot? Most of the posts I'm reading here and elsewhere are pretty much having fun with it, even if they don't like the look. It is, after all, just one look. And I'm sure that by his next appearance he will be wearing something that someone else will have a freak about. Or more than likely, it will be the same people getting their freak on. And although I haven't read at the OFC, I would say no, its not because they are bored. There are a few posters who you have to wonder if they realize that its a Clay Aiken fanboard. Some seem to be confused. I would say the majority aren't like that but the ones who almost always have something negative to say sure do get the rest worked up, which may be their intent.
  6. Oh how I wish I could afford to go to this. I want Spooky to adopt me.
  7. See, this is what drives me nuts. It's ok to trash Clay for his fashion choices (not saying that I agree with all of them but who am I to complain. I'd be in the fashion don't section of a magazine), yet they aren't allowed to show any support for him and Reed being out together.
  8. I understand the rule at the OFC too, however that is one of the reasons that I don't go there very often. But it seems to me that they leave a lot of personal stuff in there. Many posts involving body parts that many of us like to talk about. And it seems like they had left posts there in the past involving some speculation about different females that came anywhere Clay. I could be wrong, and often am, since I don't go there very often but if that's the case, it seems kind of hypocritical to me. Especially now that he seems to be living much more out in the open. I just wanted Clay to see all the positive posts about him and Reed. Even if its not true, at least he would know how many of us support him. Of course, it helps that he has a cute bf. I don't think I'd feel nearly as good if he was dating a PH type. Gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it. And I don't want to give the impression that I have a problem with the mods on any of the boards. Well maybe the one that recently edited me, because I realize how tough a job they have. Couldn't pay me to do that stuff. And a big thank you to all the mods here. Aww Couchie, you have me all schmoopy now. Feel free to give me a bug the next time we share a bed. Hope its a king size the next time though so you can keep the middle and I'll still have room at the edge. Couchie's a bed hog you all.
  9. Sorry about your laptop clayzycoffin. I'm praying mine lasts at least until I graduate and can get a decent job. I treat mine like crap though so I need extra prayers for my computer. Then again, I've had mine for at least 2 years so maybe you were being too nice to yours.
  10. I know what it is. It's probably that picture of Clay in the washtub. However, if its not, I'd like a pm please. The rest of you are on your own.
  11. Couchie, I hope sleeping with me didn't get you sick. I got the crud over Thanksgiving so I thought I was safe by then even though the sinuses have continued to drain to this very moment. It will be spring before I finally get rid of this and by then allergy season will start. Oh joy. Sorry if I got you sick. I got in trouble for saying something about the editing at the OFC on another board but I agree with you HeidiHo. I do understand that each board has their own rules and if we don't like them, we are free to leave and post elsewhere, but I really want Clay to see how much support he is getting for being out and about with Reed. But unless he reads other places besides OFC, he's never going to know. Not that I think he makes his life decisions based on us, but I do think he would appreciate the support. Ok, Tribeca, cough up that picture.
  12. Well, all I got to say is that he's unique. Didn't Orville Redenbacher have an outfit like that?
  13. I knew you were kidding Gibby. And I definitely agree with you about getting a pic of Clay and Reed together. Two hot men can't be beat, even if neither would be interested in me.
  14. Gibby, that was completely mean. I got all worked up for nothing. So no clack yet, huh?
  15. So where's the clack? And where's Couchie, she's missing all the fun.
  16. I love that Clay has pushed people past what they were previously comfortable with. Whether its about perceptions or how they live their lives, he has made quite a difference to many of us.
  17. I'm not going to get anything done because I'm going to be glued to the boards for the next few hours. I am so excited and happy for Clay and Reed.
  18. I need clack. Clay and Reed, Clay and the past and present cast. Please god, let there be clack.
  19. What song haven't I listened to over 94 times is the better question. The ones I liked the least are probably The Blood Will Never Lose its Power and that Bette Midler song that I can never remember the name of. And KAndre, stop picking on my mousie song. I loved how he sang that and then Gladys Knight's reaction to it. I remember when the AI compilation cd came out and all I played at work was Clay's On the Wings of Love. I may have listened to the others once. I'm sure anyone within radius of my desk was getting sick of hearing it, but at that point that was all I had of Clay's so it got played over and over. So glad Spam is a sell-out. Can't wait to hear re-caps. And I too want to hear that this great cast gets other shows quickly. Who knows, I may even make some trips up to NY again to see them, especially now that I know how to skip the Lincoln Tunnel altogether by taking the ferry.
  20. clayzycoffin, you're adorable. I love that little dialogue you have going on at the bottom of your post. Hope you toddle back this way some more. I however, will need to get to bed.
  21. Glad you guys knew where to go to help clayzycoffin because I just download every bit of banter and then delete what I don't want to keep. Then can never remember which ones were from where unless I go look it up all over again. If I ever get around to learning how to burn my own dvd's, I'll have to check out the montages suggested. I just know I'm going to need yet another hard drive. One day I want to get me that computer Scarlett was talking about the other day with all that space on it. For all the money I spent seeing Clay in Spamalot this past year, I probably could have bought one by now. However, I don't regret one penny.
  22. One of my favorites is him and Quiana singing Listen. I think LauraQ's may be my favorite mainly because you could see Sean really getting into it in the background with a big smile on his face. I think someone may have made one that combines different angles. Are you looking for singing or banter? Cuz there are a lot of banter ones I can recommend. Like when they wouldn't keep the spotlight on Quiana for her solo so he sat her in his lap or the bats in Asheville or when he flirted with Anglela with her family in the audience. I could go on and on. My favorite clack gatherers are Scarlett and Spotlightlover because theirs are usually the clearest and steadiest. As far as the hair, I liked it blonde but I saw the work in progress so it wasn't such a shocker. Like it brown too, and red, and would probably like it purple cuz he's so purdy. I just love his face.
  23. I could be wrong, but I've considered that Clay caught hell in the gossip rags for being in the closet, and now is praised, because, perhaps, the "gossip rag industry" is populated with so many out and proud gay men who want and pressure anyone believed to be gay to declare themselves. I've known some brutally gossipy gays. And, Heidi, I only wish our media had been liberal for the past 25 years -- if it had, maybe the United States would still have a functioning economy, and hundreds of thousands of people wouldn't have died for nothing, and the people of New Orleans and Galveston wouldn't still be suffering, and our nation would have a smidgeon of respect instead of being known for torture, rendition and bullying Empire Americanus. And maybe the people who perpetrated these crimes against humanity wouldn't have been so free to heist the Treasury for their personal bank accounts in the Caymans while changing laws to prevent detection, or even investigation. They can't hide forever. Don't expect to see many of them traveling abroad ... except maybe to Dubai and Saudi Arabia. As for Obama qualifications, well, I read his books. He's freaking brilliant. George W. Bush ran for president on the basis of being the son of a former president, a caretaker governor in Texas where the governor had no function other than ceremonial, and he supposedly quit drinking. His reputation in the state among people who had worked with him over the years was that of a party animal and bully. But he was sold to the people of Texas, and then to the American people -- and not by a liberal media, I must add, but by Karl Rove, Mark McKinnon, and Karen Hughes. I'm so ready for the new guy, the smart, sensible, farsighted one. Very nicely said. See, I always want to say things like this but I can never think of it. I'd suck at debating. And I read Obama's book too and have heard him speak and I think he's amazing. No comment on GW Bush. Didn't agree with his dad politically but I at least respected the man.
  24. Hey, I don't blame the guy either. I think he was pretty brave – he had to know he would be tortured afterward. Finally, a journalist with the balls to say it like it is. I say, scrutinize Obama all you want - but let's also scrutinize the criminal actions of our CURRENT President and his cronies. It's only fair. Let's start with the Senate Committee that found that Cheney authorized torture - a war crime. That senate committee report got NO play (thanks, Blago). Hell, even Cheney admitting it on camera got little play. More than a bit lopsided, the media, and not in the way republicans like to claim. Good at spin, that group. I agree HeidiHo. And it makes me sick that Cheney actually brags about some of the things he's done like it's a good thing. There are quite a few in the Bush administration that should be locked up. Bookwhore, feel free to sign up for the band. Lack of musical ability has not stopped the rest of us. Heck, you could take over my position because one session would probably stop my heart anyway. However, my body better be cold before you take over cuz as long as I'm breathing, that's my job. Don't need anything else in a rider, except maybe to be hosed down every now and then.
  25. Hey, I'm taking care of that instrument during my hourly massages. I got it covered.
