  1. Since we are in a dry spell and I'm bored, I thought I'd ask a question about Clay as a performer. My son and I were discussing Clay in relation to other performers like MJ, and I said that even though Clay is not as big as MJ (not talking smut here people, focus), partially due to Clay taking more control of his life than MJ, and the fact that Clay can't dance like MJ, that Clay is every bit of the performer that MJ or any of the other big stars are. How's that for a run-on sentence? Since my son does not understand Clay's appeal, partly because I do, he was arguing with me about that. Something that he does frequently because he's 24 and a guy so he thinks he knows everything. So what is your guys' experience? How do you think Clay compares to other performers? I don't actually have any first hand experience since I never went to a concert before Clay, but I have read many posts on the boards about Clay being one of the best all around entertainers from people who have gone to many concerts.
  2. SueReu, that is adorable. Just goes to show that Clay is a perfectionist is everything he does cuz that is one perfect baby. Daddy's pretty nice too.
  3. I don't mind cuz I think Parker is adorable. It actually bothers me more when someone has an avi with some other singer on it, especially someone else from AI, but that's just my hang-up. Just think it is kind of disrespectful.
  4. I didn't know the boys name either aikim, but I'm always skeptical these days so checked it out. And since I was bored, I did do research. Evan was the father, not the son, although he is the one who pressed charges. After reading about the case at wikipedia and then reading about the other case brought against him, I'm outraged by all the participants against MJ. I'd never really cared that much before, mores the pity because I think many people were like me and just never checked before. But from what I read, those boys and their families, along with the prosecution and especially the media, were the catalyst to what happened to him and they should all be ashamed. It appears he was persecuted for nothing more than trying to befriend and help children. How those monsters could have exploited that makes me sick. It seems that part of his addiction came because of the stress those allegations caused him. I brought over the link to the case in question, but it also gives the link to the criminal case. I feel angry for him, and now understand why his friends stood by him after the allegations. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1993_child_se...Michael_Jackson
  5. I just posted about that recant at the CV. I don't know if MJ did molest boys or not because there was never enough proof for me. I did feel that he could be targeted by greedy people because of his wealth and fame, along with his weirdness later in life so any accusations were met with skepticism by me. However, because that recant came from a website that I've never heard of and was poorly written, I checked out some of the comments and one led to an article on the smoking gun. I only skimmed the first page but if it's legit, then the boy who made the accusations is the name of the father in the recant. It looks like they switched the names. I may check it out further since I'm bored right now, but I wouldn't put too much faith in that recant just yet. Edited because it was the smoking gun website that was linked. Checking now to see if I can find more info.
  6. I understand what you were saying OOlsee. For me, Michael's death wasn't as sad as his life, and I really hope that he is in a better place now. The older I get, the more I get inured to death so it doesn't affect me as much as when I was younger, but the tragedy of some people's lives will always affect me.
  7. 00lsee, I saw your post at CH and was hoping you would bring it over here. It was beautifully written and expressed what I felt, except I didn't feel the relief. I still feel sad for that sweet little boy who had such a tragic life, but I hope that people will mainly remember him for the good things. I know that I am one who has been turned off in recent years by his personal issues, but watching and listening to him perform has made me want to go back and remember the Michael that I grew up with, and unfortunately, since his death, I can again appreciate his talent without all the negative.
  8. I'm watching CNN now and they said that the LA Times and CBS are reporting that Michael has died. And this actually makes 4 because David Carradine also died recently.
  9. Thanks kf. That works much better. And I'm obsessed with his feet. Hated feet before Clay but he's made a changed woman out of me. Drove me crazy that there weren't more pictures of his bare feet at the Frisco show when there was a perfect opportunity. I think JustJared must realize that several Clay fans have this obsession since they took pictures of his feet at the airport. I thought that was funny.
  10. I love that Clay Aiken dude too and hope we hear from him this week. I've done cleaned my house and I'm if we don't hear from him soon, I may have to tackle my unfinished household projects and I don't wanna. I loved those pics that merrieee posted but can someone make them smaller for me. I want to download them but when I open them, I can only see pieces of Clay. They are so gorgeous.
  11. luckiest, I'll just word your post and then let it go because I don't want to make an effort to try to convince someone who has not only a closed mind, but also wants to blame Clay for a decision that she alone made.
  12. ldyj, you almost always say what I'd like to say but you say it so much better. He rocks my socks too.
  13. I also told you to get over here and wish Couchie a happy birthday but did I get credit for that...NO. And of course you have to bring your grouchy ass over here griping about the Christmas book. Scrooge.
  14. A gift for you Couchie, stolen from the CH which stole it from CV: lindylo at CV wrote:Michael Orland on his public Facebook said he was thinking of changing his phone service so he could get an iPhone and asked for comments. Clay replied: Clay Aiken at 2:16pm June 17 As someone who travels frequently, let me be the one to say.... AT&T sucks in EVERY city. All of them! lindylo wrote:Another Clay comment when Michael posted he was taking a stress test. I'm sure he commented on meeting Parker at AI too but I will have to check again after I get home from work. Quote:Clay Aiken at 2:40am May 22 That treadmill part will BEAT YOUR ASS! I think he's gonna be in trouble with AT&T now.
  15. I wear crap most of the time so I can't complain. Well, that's obviously not true because I'm sure most of the people who do the complaining probably look like hell too. I think its funny that he still has those cut off pants.
  16. I would just rather see Clay naked. The tutu's do nothing for me, although Reed's got some nice legs.
  17. Well, I enjoyed 'em. And CF, is that why I haven't gotten a reply to my pm either? Or are you just ignoring me?
  18. Thanks for the info jmh. I'm pretty sure my walkman plays wmv files, not sure about mp4 but I haven't read enough yet to do anything more than charge my battery and load the music and pictures from my computer. Since I haven't had a chance to re-download videos yet, I don't know which ones will go on the walkman. It basically did everything for me. I plugged it in and once it charged, a box popped up asking if I wanted to download files and I clicked yes and it did all the work. And thank you Couchie and everyone else for the birthday wishes. Unfortunately, I didn't inherit the memory for birthdays that my one sister did so I usually forget birthdays, but I do appreciate all you guys and want to say a Happy Birthday to all for the birthdays I missed and those that I am sure I will miss in the future. How's that for a run-on sentence. I am famous for them.
  19. Since I am completely clueless when it comes to the different kinds of files, can someone explain the difference between wmv's, mp3's and mp4's. I've seen all of them for audio and have no idea what they mean.
  20. Thanks for the pictures and suggestions. Keep em coming. As far as what I like treenuts, as long as it's not the Jenna Bush pics, I'm good. I loved all the ones you posted, and had them before the crash so it will be nice to have them back.
  21. Thanks for the birthday wishes guys. I bought myself a Sony walkman, which is actually a gift from my son, this morning as my birthday gift. His birthday was yesterday and mine today so instead of him actually having to go shop, he told me to just use my money for his birthday and buy one. I'm really looking forward to a day when he has a steady girlfriend who will do the shopping for him cuz it's just not the same when you have to get your own gift. Preden, we probably did meet but I met so many people that night, I can't remember. I was sitting with Couchie. Now, can somebody bring purty pictures or suggestions of videos to help fill up my mp3 player? My hard drive fried so I'm rebuilding my collection.
  22. Haven't caught up yet but I wanted to say I like your rant and, yeah that.
  23. Well, I did actually like Adam on the show. He seemed respectful of the others, including the band, and I liked some of his performances, except for the shrieking. Just not into that. But the RS interview, as well as his responses to what Clay said about his performance, have totally turned me off from him. I don't think its cool to brag about drug use or being drunk or who'd you'd like to or not like to do it to. And don't see why he thinks it's so much cooler to "come out" in RS than the way Clay did, especially when the only reason he had to come out in the first place is because he went in to do well on AI. And in case Adam forgot, or didn't know, Clay was the first AI contestant ever to be on RS, so All of this just goes to show that there is no one like Clay Aiken. He's one of a kind. Totally unique and a complete class act. Hope that if he is out there somewhere on one of his Unicef trips that he is safe, and really hope to hear from him soon. He is one tough act to follow.
  24. I know what you mean treenuts. Can't wait to see more evidence of his proportions. And thanks Karen for bringing the pretty pictures. I'll never figure out how people can look at that face and not fall instantly in love. He's just so freaking adorable.
