Thanks for that info luckiest....that certainly is clearer and really does not tell us what Clay is specifically goign to do...just what they usually do. thats my take anyway. but yeah..from this blurb people were assuming we get Clay and only the band...sigh.

While I've seen a lot of people speculating about this, the only actual email from a venue I've seen only said that the orchestra plays a 45 minute set as an opening act, and then Clay will have his own set (with the orchestra) for another 45-50 minutes. I'm not sure how people are extrapolating that into Clay & the orchestra in the first half and Clay & the band in the second half. I think it is more wishful thinking than anything. oh this was my own extrapolating..cos in other boards they say orhcestra 45 minutes and all clay 50 minutes...and people are thinking this is Clay and the band...can you quote the email? cos if the orchestra is the opening act, then Clay sings with them I can understand...but I wonder if Clay's part will be longer than 50 minutes...I just want more Clay is that so wrong??? hee

Hee I think I will wait for page 81 to start our new thread...just to be different... :medium-smiley-070: so I read somewhere that one of the venue said the first half he would be singing with the orchestra and the second half it will be with the band...I bet that will still have some of the strings playing with him for some of the ATDW arrangements. So I am thinking he will mix some old standards...or maybe some atdw and some MOM with orchestral arrangement in the first half...then we get more ATDW and MOAM and maybe some new songs in the second half. Right now we know Felix is in, and probably Angela and Q...I wonder if we will have a male back up. I am hoping Andy Abad is there and we have a lto of lovely acoustic guitar with Clay;s voice...that would be sooo good for Moon River... EEEEEEEEEEEEE so exciting.

Yeah me too...I keep trying to play the song in my head to make it sound better to my ears but I just don;t have that good an imgination I guess...eh I'm not worried...if it's not my favorite I know at least clay;s vocie won;t make me cringe.

they are bitching cos Clay is not listening to them...this is supposed to be the time he itnroduces all his rocking originals...he is not sticking ot their program!!! and they hate the idea that they cannot pretend to be a young kid falling for a rockstar if he does not sing rock songs. These are songs for grandmas...sigh..ageism is alive and well..

Exactly...I mean just a few years ago lots of people are saying they want to hear him sing moon river...but now they no longer want to hear it...why??? because it tells them that he may not be the rockstar they want him to be. You are rigth claygasm...I doubt this is all slow songs...I bet he will have mixed tempo cos he likes that. I mean he kept I want to know what love is...it is one of the more rock like production in ATDW. So I bet it will still be very exciting. I just say...people should keep their minds open. If they go in expecting not to enjoy something...they probably won't.

Claygasm...is it just the position of your feet...try raising it... yeah that is not the set list...lots of possiblities but it seems like he is adding covers and from different era's... Not worried...I think this will be great.... thats whats great having no real expectations...I can celebrate anything... I hope he has some cole porter...hee

HEH I was wondering what dates she was talking about...and yes those are great deals!!! I know looking for rooms for Sandiego they tend to go up in August...I guess this is peak season. Once again I ask for thread title suggestions...I really would like to reflect all the ticket buying excitement ... or maybe something from his latest blog...so anymore suggestions aside from the ones ldyjocelyn pulled out..??? here are the ones she suggested... muski also suggested a good one, coming from the blurb for the San Diego show: Claygasm suggested this one from muskifest, but I think it would have to be shortened *g*: So far, that's what I can find to take from this thread.... I will set up the poll for the thread titles later tonight....so there's time to suggest others.

I think Couchie would've been happy with something between 10 and 20...I think if there was no fanclub sale we would've gotten anything. I am really not in the position to do upgrades so I am willing to wait. I do think we will be able to get tickets.

Well I checked CH and no action tehre either...It seems most of them got packages. Only one post that was saying the same thing..only got from row 22... OMG wouldn't it be funny if everyone stopped trying and everyone tries for Monday...well I suppose if we don't get better seats on Monday we will settle for whats the best on TM... eta: more people reported but also got tickets from row 22 and 23...

Any reports on tickets? Couchie is not pulling up any good ones...anyluck with the others? she says she may wait until Monday...we are pulling only rows 27 ...the best I think is row 24... so how about you muski and claygasm OK...Couchie gave up and will try on Monday...we'll be zen about it...we did get good tickets in San Diego...she will reserve her panic after Monday...hee

thats good right!!!...just make sure you have time off for the concerts... EEEEEEEEEEEEEE oh should we do a wake and funeral services...you know for the dead ATDW??? I mean why are poddies so determined to kill this cd? Don;t they want Clay to have more money...don;t they want to hope for another single on radio? Do they really want to be so right that they don;t want anything good to come out of this CD??? I mean ...if for some miracle the cd starts to sell and even goes platinum...they would actually be upset about that. I still want to hope for the best ...and if Clay mentioning the cd as he promotes the tour would result in an increase in sales...wouldn't that be good??? not according to the poddies cos you know...this CD is dead. My conclusion about all this..its never been about Clay...for the poddies its about what they want...what they want him to sing ...how they want him to be a rocker...how they want to be right even if it means less sale for Clay.... its very sad really.... OK....now time for ticket stress... goodluck to those getting tickets...I am keeping my fingers crossed that we get the best tickets we can... but you know just to be in the show is good enough for me...

Thats a great attitude Kel... I love that kind of spirit. I think if this fandom put their effort on something positive...some thing great happens. So far from this board alone I hear a lot of people from out of state are going... I'm sure the eHP will be ready for this Invasion...hee :Tour3:
