Well, I got to test out the "new" security measures today getting back into the States from Canada with my temporary license and a birth certificate....they let me back in so I guess I'm okay! One of my aunts lives in Wallaceburg and we went to visit her and my uncle for a Thanksgiving dinner. I should have my actual enhanced license in a few weeks! Woohoo!

Just want to report that the funeral went without stupid protesters...instead hundreds of people, miltiary, police, border patrol and Patriot Riders lined the streets with the American flag, some big, some small....all in support. It was beautiful. I'm so thankful that was there for the family and all of us to see instead of those idiots.

Thank you, jamar. I read that here in Michigan they are not allowed within 500ft of the funeral or the processions, and I know in no way will the school campus allow them on their grounds. The Patriot Guard have also been called in....there isn't too much space in the area that they'll be able to occupy, so it's possible they'll be down the road away from it all. Next I'm debating on bringing my camera. Not to take pictures of the funeral of course, I don't think that's appropriate...but I would love pictures of all the military men who no doubt will be there, and the Patriot Guard.

Oh no..... I just found some bad news...... the WESTBORO BAPTIST CHURCH is going to be at my classmate's funeral this week!!!! How completely and utterly DISRESPECTFUL!!!!!!!! I am nothing less than completely pissed off...... I knew there might be people coming to protest but they are by far the worst...... I'm literally almost shaking in anger.... I'm sorry this is OT but I'm just so sickened... I'll add this in here to make it a little better: 1. fugly 2. snuggly 3. fugly 4. snuggly 5. snuggly 6. snuggly 7 & 8. comfy.... LOL

Lookin' good for his off time there!! Bottle, your talk about walking around the city without getting blisters reminds me of the trip I took just last summer in 2009, a few friends and I were in Tulsa and my feet hurt as did one of my friend's so we took our sandals off and walked barefoot through the city. They were absolutely black and nasty when we got back to our hotel!! LOL But, no blisters!

My first ever trip to NYC was in high school as a learning/cultural thing....but we did more shopping and eating and having fun than learning historical stuff. Hee! I just wish we could have hit some museums but we did get to go to the Statue, Ellis Island, and drove up to cute little Sleepy Hollow out in the country.

I just found out an old classmate of mine that I've known since I was 7 has died in the war in Afghanistan.... I wasn't a friend of his but his mother was a teacher of mine for a couple classes in high school and was pretty darn amazing.... she only had 2 children and now one is gone.. I'm in shock..... if you would, please keep her family in your prayers..... thank you...
