  1. Ausdon aren't the posts we lose always the most witty things we've ever written!!

So was looking through the top 24 idols ever. Clay is number 5 this year. Interesting read. I don't know most of them since I quit watching so long ago. I made it through 5 or 6 episodes last year and have been watching this season. I have a few faves but let's see how long I last. I'm also watching The Voice this season and there's just so much more diversity. I really prefer it. The music world has really changed. Jordin can't sell an album but she sold 9 million singles? The you tube stat is interesting. Unfortunately for Clay, his fans didn't need you tube. Everything was vaulted. Anyway, I know it's not a competition but I like looking at this fluid list every year. I know JHud has an album coming out. Jordin has Sparkle (Whitney's last film) about singers so she'll be featured on the soundtrack. Also learned that Fantasia will play Mahalia Jackson! I didn't know that. And I'm really curious to see if C.A. will help Clay in any way with his music career. But so many of these idols are doing well in other media. I tried to watch Smash with McPhee but the writing was so bad on it that I just gave up after the 3rd episode. I thought she was fine in it. But I just couldn't hang on to see if it got better. I don't usually go for "musicals" anyway.

When is the album coming out again? The clip was great. Arsenio cracks me up as did Clay. I'm looking forward to seeing Clay more involved. But unless you're on the losing team you din't get to talk that much. But you don't want the men to lose ha ha. So is it George Takai the leader on the next challenge? Those pumps Aresenio pulled out were awesome but seriously I don't think I've ever worn such a shoe. And I haven't worn a high heel at all in at least 15 years.

Speaking of musicals...hey Tree...Spamalot is coming to San Francisco in April. Wanna go?

  2. I don't think these have been posted. I'ts funny I still only really use TWOP for any kind of TV show discussion. So these were posted there but I think via a Clay board ..don't know which one.

    Victoria talking Clay Aiken.

I tried to copy over something else but the format is whack and I'm running out. If I don't see here later I'll post it. It's an interview by Dee who talks about Lou being very agressive all the time -- on the verge of scary.

  3. Twitter just confounds me. This is one I'm just going to continue to pass up. I have friends that are absolutely addicted.

I don't like Lisa either. In fact, I thought she was an awful PM. She didn't listen. And she assigned things out of spite or something. No way on earth Victoria should have been the lighting person. Yes Victoria was useless but if she were articulate enough perhaps she could have made a better case for Lisa's ouster. And on a mean girl note, I can't believe me and Victoria are the same age. She looks 60 if she's a day.

  4. I am not impressed with the women on either reality show tonight - between the constant jabber, Lisa trying to shut them up (and she is a bit of a control freak), and that whiny-assed Big Brother heifer on TAR (oh, I'm so stupid and weak because I'm just a girrrrrrrrl - no bitch, you're stupid because you're just stupid, vapid and whiny).

LOL... I ddidn't watch Big Brother but she annoyed me last week on TAR. Hope she goes fast.

Watching the Academy awards. I like Billy Crystal as host. Helen Mirren is my new girl friend. For some reason I just "discovered" her.

  5. LOL at Clay the twitterer. Well I for one don't care if any of the other celebrities like Clay or is his BFF. The man sounded sincere about how he thinks Clay feels about him and he didn't sound vindictive. Or it could just be build up for the show. Either way it goes, Clay can take care of himself. Clay's already warned his fan base and they need to take that to heart before the show starts. I'm not going into this thinking Clay is some victim that needs protecting or that if someone doesn't like them then I must hate them. I'm sure he will give as good as he gets. And maybe he will be reasonable or unreasonable. Nobody is perfect. One thing I have learned about these types of shows is that they are heavily edited. So I will likely go out of it just like I go into it -- not giving a damn about any of them but Clay and Arsenio. And if Clay and Arsenio happen not to get along for whatever reason that's between them.

  6. Watching the Grammys and god is it boring. Just trying to hold out for Adele. A standing O for Taylor Swift? Really?

So Adele was worth staying up. As ya'll know I'm not really into pop music but thanks to this guy at work who turns up the radio in the office every time one of her songs comes on - and they come on every hour on the hour LOL - I am a fan.

Blake Shelton is my new boyfriend. He's so cute. Never heard of him before 2 weeks ago. Glen Campbell sounded better than 90% of the "talent"on the stage tonight.

And Jennifer's tribute song was excellent.

The rest was not my cuppa. And it went on and on and on.

So next week is Celeb App, and TAR yay and TGW returns. I just put CA on season pass on the DVR.

  7. Long time drug use could have deteriorated her health over time. She was such a good little church girl - or at least had that reputation for such a long time before she descended into drugs short cutting what could have been an even better career in music and film. A little known factoid is that it took the African American community (I won't speak for all and definitely not me as I always loved her) a while to fully embrace her. I think it was the fact that she had that great voice yet Clive Davis had her singing pop songs. Some thought of her as souless and rhythmless which is a major crime in some circles. Found this 1991 article that addresses some of that, ironic in many ways since knowing what was to come. http://findarticles....ag=content;col1

In hindsight it's a good thing they moved celebrity apprentice.

ETA: I didn't realize Whitney had finished filming a remake of Sparkle w/Jordin Sparks in the title role. Dang I was 14 when the original Sparkle came out. I think I had to sneak to see it with all that sex, drugs and rock and roll. I'm not sure this is one that needed a remake.
