  1. ahhh an fca party!!

    Yay.

I'll have to go try to download from CH. I think I still have a key. Youtube kept timing out every 10 seconds. Maybe it has something to do with that notice I keep getting from them to upgrade. If I can watch movies I should be able to watch a youtube video. The snatches I heard sounded great.

So I'm on vacation - recharging - re-examining - doing all the things I never have time to do. Checking out the weight watchers site, organizing photos and bills, watching stuff I always wanted to watch (staring with Parenthood and Sports Night because I love Josh Charles on The Good Wife). I'm enjoying myself Ha ha.

Mom has ticket to come home on the 14th. Finally. Hope I can survive her spending until then.

  2. The stream is crystal clear on CV tonight. I love Cyndi's charity "True Colours". There are so many kids whose parents kick them out when they come out, and it just breaks my heart. Right now, my daughter is dating a girl whose entire family has disowned her because she is a lesbian....parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and even her 3 siblings. It is mind blowing. What is wrong with people?

Oh cool - a Clay event. I almost forgot. Looking forward to the reports.

Christmas stuff all out already? I'm going to try to get a Xmas tree right before my mom comes back on the 14th so she can decorate it. ha ha. That's her thing.

  3. Only slightly on-topic:

Everyone Who Used Ticketmaster in the Last 12 Years is Getting a Refund

OK, so it's only $1.50 a ticket, but for some of us...heh.

*off to look at my TM orders for the past 12 years to see how much I can get!*

Heh...34 sets of tickets in the past 6 years, and that doesn't include many of my Clay shows from earlier than that. I'm getting at least $51 back!

Whoops. Just read the fine print. At most $25. But still!

$25? I should qualify for that!! When are they cutting the checks LOL.

Congrats on all getting their ticket in the mail. Can't wait to read the reports.

Is it a two day event this time?

I don't watch many shows more than once. When I need a laugh I'll watch a rerun of Frasier. My two favorite shows of all time are The Wire and Homefront and I'll watch those from time to time. Homefront has some of the best dialogue ever and the way it infused historical events into their storylines was made of win!! And The Wire hit on such an emotional raw level

Well I'm off for a week. Looking forward to my vacation!!

  4. I don't do a lot of repeat viewing of tv shows. The one I will watch is Frasier which never fails to crack me up. I'm SO disappointed in Kelsey Grammar's new drama show. I gave it 6 shots because I'm such a fan but it is a train wreck. But I have watched Homefront many times over the years and I'm working on second viewing of The Wire. These are my two favorite shows of all time.

Hope Clay had a very happy birthday. How old is he now? 32?

  5. Off topic -- Some of you here encouraged me to watch The Big Bang Theory. I've been taping it for a month now and watching all the old repeats and it is hysterical. I'm literally laughing my ass off right now on the one where Leonard's mom comes to visit. I love Christine Baranski.

On Topic - I can honestly feel the pain about no gala clack. But it's understandable. I remember in the old days, pre cellcert, how fun it was to read the Clayboard reports. We'll survive.

  6. December is a busy month. It's Xmas time, end of year for work, and I have a week vacation. Next year the song and the show will come right on time. Looking forward to buying it. I wish them all luck with radio. I know zero about the radio stations in my area and I am even less interested in pop music than I was 8 years ago LOL. Can't wait to hear impressions of the song. That's all I need.

  7. Clack. I haven't said that word in a long time. Ha ha.... it's funny how some of the vernacular is slipping away from me. Speaking of slipping away. Did I miss something. Isn't Clay's birthday in November?

So Lucky what are you learning about the show by watching. Is Trump on much or does he just give the challenge and then come on at the end to fire people? That's my hope anyway.

  8. Oh and Clay said twice no matter what happens he loves us

    Kim

AWWWWWWWW. Thanks Clay, we love you too!

This is so awesome. I'm glad the excitement is back!

Are we OK bringing red reports over here, knowing that CV is a totally private board, and we're, well, not?

    You're asking me..I was wondering too..if you don't want me to I won't.

    Kim

we can always share the info on the google board we go to when the site is down. That's private correct?

  9. Eeep, sorry I asked. I hate the swamp shit. But thanks for the answer. :)

LOL yeah that. I got through years in apparent blissful ignorance where that guy is concerned.

    Thanks Desertrose for the info.

Since my mom is living like a Kardashian in SC I'm on the really poor side right now, not just my usual poor side LOL. But I'm with everyone in spirit. I want him to have a brand new love affair with the public so I'm hoping this show will accomplish that. Hope he can win it. That way I get more singing.

Now off to a mandatory work Saturday. Inventory.

Okay, just saw this tweet at the CB and thought it was funny...

    Jarret Hill

I don't care what anybody says, Clay Aiken sings his ass off. Completely off. He has to pick it up and carry it out when he leaves the studio....was Jarret at the party today?"

Oh! Can we please have this as a thread title!!!!

I second it. And I totally agree.

What was the challenge. I'm missing a step. And how did they raise money?

  12. Color me confused. Is this legal show wise?

From what I understand the participants are allowed to call for donations. I believe the funds will go to the National Inclusion Project.

Oh I was under the impression that the person didn't always win the money for their charity but that the winning team's leader got the money. I don't watch the show...just remember reading this here somewhere.

  13. Posting this here instead of Celebrity Apprentice thread so it will not be missed. CV has a fund for Clay to use if he needs it. Last time it was close to $4000.00. CV is "plugged" in to where Clay can let CV know when he needs the money.

The call has come in, and if any body wants to donate, the money needs to be there before Monday because that is when Clay might need it. Money is still coming in through Pay Pal. It doesn't have to be a large amount, just whatever people can afford.

One good thing is that we know that Clay is still in it to win it.

Color me confused. Is this legal show wise?
