  1. i think the new producer looks wild and crazy..that's a good thing... meaning he looks fun. I hope he is. As for his music - I did follow the link and don't recognize anyone but Sting. I like Sting well enough after all The Police's Every Breath You Take album and I don't even know if that's the name of it LOL, well at least 4 of the songs are among my top 20 most played songs on my ipod. But that's old time Sting ..and wasn't that album he produced for Sting not a pop album? Why do I have an image of chants and candles and not traditional instruments. See how much I follow the pop world?
  2. I'm weak ..I don't think I've ever been unspoiled for anything Clay..not an album, not a tour..oh well it took me a week to listen to the extra songs from ATDW..I guess that counts heee.
  3. Bwah I already read that the song must be one of Clive's choices. Uh how in hell was that descerned? Is this Teddy guy Clive's best friend or something? You know I can't blame people for wanting to see Clay in the role..especially if it's their only show. Perhaps they can't afford to just eat the ticket and buy another one. I hope they can get a full house anyway. ETA: Knowing who a producer is for isn't spoiler. It means nothing to me anyway. I haven't seen the clips but if the producer was in them and whatever song was in them WAS Clay letting us in on some info. I don't think we need to sit by and wait for Clay to type a blog. Clay kept things close to his vest for a long time but he has to start getting info out there to raise interest to the cd buying public out there.
  4. I won't bother bringing over the information about the Producer that was dug up...I guess you all can find out yourself. I don't like the digging either, but I don't think you can stop the fans who want to know and I do think it is pretty funny that Producer turns out to be someone the fans didn't think of. Kim Please keep bringing the info. Some of us don't get out much. I am interested in knowing the producer and his work and whatever.... so what is this song...by somebody else... a cover? Yeah I do think the emailing of people and trying to get "in" goes too far..
  5. I'm not concerned about lurkers or whatever. I think not dwelling on the piece of crap and every now and then stating the obvious is ok. I actually love that on the day to day basis for the past 2 years I have no idea what's going on in the swamps. I don't need to know..I just assume the worst and nothing they've ever done or said has shocked me. Yay for the producer. I guess he's talking about NJU because I'll know Clay from word one. ETA: And I'm sure there will be ballads. I doubt they are going that far with whatever they are doing. I look forward to learning more. And I can actually imagine Clay doing pretty much anything but rap, maybe hip hop. Not that he couldn't sing it well.... but bringing the right attidue..not too sure. But hey I'll never say never with Clay. Whatever, 12 polkas..and I'd buy that too.
  6. so would a side benefit of him getting this job, if he gets it, that he'd have to give up his little website...not that 3 other roaches wouldn't climb out in his place. I haven't worked for a company yet that you could throw a halo on. Most will cut a corner or two for the bottom line. And Play I made a deposit at an ATM last year for the pins (it was only 29 for mail orders) and I got a letter telling me I had put in an empty envelop. Now I am absent minded but not that damn absent minded. The person whose check it was told me it had been cashed and she was to mail me a copy but alas I never got it. So they have my freakin' money. Pissed me off.
  7. uh oh..heee I'll do mine ...promise.. KAndre... oooh I can work with that..fancy restaurants AND dollar menus...but about this auxillary member of eHP thing... well I don't knw..I think I have too much pride to watch all these cool designations while I get to be keeper of the wet spot. Happy Tuesday everyone.... Great banner Cindilu2!!
  8. Runs in and squeezes FCA real tight. I am keeping my eye on the prize. Going to NYC for me won't be a quickie but I'll be there for 12 days and that's why I am working every spare moment - so I won't be living on the street while I'm there. OK I'm exaggerating but I want to eat at good restaurants and not the dollar menu from the local take out joint. I'm so proud of Clay. He just continues to amaze me after all this time. I am thrilled by the AP review and the Newsday review. What I particularly liked about the latter is that the woman shared her preconceived notions. She didn't hold out much expectations for excellence from Clay. And she didn't allow that preconceive notion to dictate her review. A couple of things jumped out at me...this is not a debut for cowards..or something like that. Nope it isn't. Now that it's a success it's easy to say..yeah but this role was perfect for him. But to me it was not the obvious choice and it was damn risky. That he would work hard at it, well I knew he would But all the practice in the world doesn't guarantee that you will be good at anything. We didn't have much to go on..I'd say his concerts told me more than his few little acting gigs. He turned himself into another person during I Survived You... I always thought that was some good acting, not reliving some evils perpetuated against him. I remember a couple of times him finishing up the song with the audience going crazy and him cracking up...like geeze I'm not serious hee. Anyway, did I say I was proud of him. Second thing that jumped out at me was ... After all, Clay Aiken, unknown until he was the runner-up in the second season of "American Idol," had been cast, with alarming hoopla, to play Sir Robin and assorted zanies IT hit me that people come and go all the time on Broadway but they really did pull out all the stops for Clay. That alone can lead to all sorts of acceptance issues, just further proof that he had it easy. But as Clay said in his interview he anticipated resistance. I'm so happy that his cast mates have embraced him. Of all the scenarios that I envisioned when he took this part, we really have been living the best cast scenario. And that's why I'm keeping my eye on the prize. I just wouldn't miss this for anything in the world.
  9. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee great review!! Cotton :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  10. OK I tried to watch Dexter but it's just too morbid for me. I thought I would love this show but it's too dark. I thought it would have more dark comedy or be more clever or something.
  11. Yeah the basketball ball boards are bad too. I'm thinking of going to Yankee stadium while I'm in NY and maybe exercising a few demons T Wandacleo, hee yeah us workers from home need a support group. I swear I was all geared up to work 6 hours yesterday and the first call came at 9:30 am. Can I babysit for a couple of hours.... and the next thing I knew it was 7PM and the day was pretty much over. I tried to work while the brat was here but the first thing out of her mouth after 10 minutes was I'm bored. I don't envy you mothers LOL. CG -- got to play to win is what I keep telling myself. I usually just do it when the entire company does it. Wouldn't want to be the only one who can't quit when a number hits. so how many shows does Clay do a week? 8? are there matinees besides saturday and sunday Has anyone seen A Bronx Tale on Broadway cuz I loved loved loved the movie.
  12. hee I'm sure his mug shut will be online soon. Does the claynation own one of those image recognition machines
  13. and in case anyone isn't clear, it's not us telling her that. LOL. I love to hear about your adventures. You got the miracle of location; that's life. I also haven't seen any of the nominated movies.
  14. Claytonic... anyone can start a new topic. I love your suggestion. Why don't you start in in this area: http://findingclayaiken.invisionzone.com/i...hp?showforum=36 this is the entertainment area, which covers music and movies.
  15. I honestly fail to see how Clay is being hurt by Idol rewind. Has every change been solely done to make him look bad? I think the cutting of 2 hours down to 1 is the main issue and adding him with the commentary and in interviews and as narrator certainly has more impact than a "headline" designed to make people tune in next week.. If they start cutting every good comment and leaving only criticism or cutting his performances altogether like they did craggle then maybe Anybody know the ratings for this show anyway. Is there really a market for old AI shows and if so I wonder how many of them are eew viewers. Speaking of ratings..keeping a Nielsen journal is a pain in the ass. Funny, I always wanted to do this and now be careful what you wish for comes into mind. I'm glad Clay is taking precautions in order to stay healthy as possible. I know he's determined not to miss any shows so good for him. So how does Jerome make his announcement... in the venue? heee
  16. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee been working on planning my trip tonight. I'm so excited about going to NYC again and seeing Clay. That bear IS darling. I can not sew worth a crap. Remember back in the old days when they had home economics classes. Hee. I took a sewing class and picked this jean material and made some jeans except I sewed them inside out and I've never picked up a needle and thread since. Just not my thang. eeeeeeeeeeeeee 2 months and 3 days to Clay. If you're going to be there any time between April 26 and May 6 let me know.. I plan to do a lot of sight seeing along with seeing Clay. Jamar should I go to a Yankee game or a Mets game weeeeeeeeeee. Oh maybe I'll go boo the Knicks. In case ya'll can't tell I'm very excited. ETA Cindilu that is gorgeous.
  17. Wow, KeepingFaith..very interesting. What in hell has happened to integrity or taking pride in a job well done. Speaking of which I kinda found a new attitude about my own job today and actually had a good day. Spent half the day reorganizing and cleaning. I'm watching basketball and I had to laugh because my ears perked up at the word Idol... the one of the guys calling the game had brought up some town and the other one was like..I know where that is..I'm not like that girl from American Idol that had never heard of Budapest or Hungary LOL. He only saw the half of it. 2008 has been great thus far in Clay world no? I just really felt it would be. So much to look forward to.
  18. http://www.ocregister.com/column/abc-idol-...ecorded-actress I tend to agree with this writer. I don't much believe that Idol needs to find ringers. Everybody and their mama would love to be on this show including people with talent and including people who have been trying for years to make it. I also don't think they'd screw with a billion dollar product just for the hell of it. I really don't believe Fantasia was a ringer in her season because she was an afterthought until all of the pyts let their nerves get to them.
  19. ooh forgot to add..those bears are the cutest things. Good job to all of you with such wonderful creative talent.
  20. oh god I'm going to have to start streetwalking for extra money aren't I. Yay for the fantastic review. I'm glad this one is out there and will probably get wide distribution. And that it was by someone who does it for a living makes it all the sweeter. I didn't mind the EW one yesterday but I LOL because this one today seemed to be a direct response to it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SKYBAR
  21. You know what...I honestly am not mad at her for doing them because they are beautiful and Clay can easily put a stop to her if he wanted to. There is a bunch of illegal crap going on when it comes to Clay's image so I really hope she doesn't get sngled out. I have about 4 of her drawings. They are gorgeous and I guess I never thought about whether they are authentic. I guess I don't care because they are so gorgeous. The Good News one remains my favorite. She really captured him in that one. LdyJ, IIRC the woman who put together the CD release party in Hollywood, did it quickly and on the fly, got teh Virgin people involved which resulted in the Virgin signing. So it's all good. I'm kinda glad she's taking the bull by the horn and just doing it and not waiting for instruction. I don't actually care for RCA's involvement because it's too much sitting around and waiting on corporate people to hand you stuff like posters. I hate beauracracies of any kind and half the time what we create is so much better anyway. If the date is what Clay hopes then I would miss out on a party with my home town peeps. Since ATDW I'm so over the "big" party so doubt I would go to one if I'm in NYC. If it changes and I'm home i'd probably go to see all my friends. Happy Friday
  22. Muski...big hug to you. I'm getting antsy on my job right now. At the point where sweet ole me is getting pissy about every little thing. For people who can stay at the same job for 25 years I envy you. I swear about every 3 years I just get an itch to move the hell on.
  23. Yay good news. What an exciting time for Clay..must give him flashes back to the time he was oh you know touring and writing a book and recordinga Xmas album. heee
