  1. oooh three whole posts heee I'll take them..oh that means I have to pay 1000 for a plane ticket to get there? Never mind. LOL.
  2. I don't worry about it but I think about it. Part of the fun for me. Now, back to the themes...I agree with ...was it Cotton ...that when he's saying themes it might not be so specific but that whacko Michael Jackson songs kept popping into my head...not for their style or anything but the what he sings about. Too bad about him, he's a damn genius. Besides the fact that I can't get Somebody's watching me out of my head -- oh and I have to watch that video when I get hom, but Leave Me Alone also is rolling around up there as well as Heal theWorld. I don't know if he will touch specific things like the dark side of celebrity or the needs in this world at all or just teh importance of family being where you find it or something less specific but eeeeeeeeee I just love that he's talking about it before hand. I think people would definitely be interested to hear what he has to say. Geeze, I'm late already. Hopefully getting to work won't be as eventful as yesterday when the bright lights of the Heat came bearing down on my ass. heee bwah..... oh man I wish could stay home and play!!
  3. anybody curious how he will incorporate the last five years into his songs. For some stupid reason I keep thinking of that song..I always feel like, somebody's watching me... what sort of themes do you think he will explore? It's fun to think about.
  4. but what will you give us Clay....an album in May? Pretty please? Although if he tours this year my ass will be up the creek as all my vacation time is spoken for between NY and Hawaii.
  5. Claygasm, it's fine if you choose not to be excited and Iv'e been saying for the last year that it won't come out in May. But hey, I choose to believe now because Clay has not backed off that date yet. And if it doesn't happen, it's no skin off my nose. I doubt very seriously FCA will meltdown if the CD comes out in June, July, August...that's one thing I've learned about this place. It's just excited and happy to see really the first mainstream press mention the album and well ahead of my panic button date of March 30th heee. And every mother doesn't have to like Clay..any time there are more people in the store shopping that's a good thing. It's like Xmas..we know more people are out and in the stores and a percentage may pick up the album. Hell even if it adds 1000 albums to the total that's a good thing. I agree Play - I don't buy into the belief that everybody gives Clay CDs to people who don't want them. I think the only people I've ever bought a Clay CD for was my sister and my sister in law and they are both fans. Hell I bought the MCWL for my sister in law, got to her house for Xmas and she already had one so that made me happy. Haven't bought her another album since. thunderdome?
  6. Claygasm I'm no expert but my guess is that Mother's day for Clay would be a pretty darn good boost. That's a gift giving day and we all know his best demographic LOL. And I agree that AI itself is what I'm hoping for..doesn't even have to be the finale... top 5, 4,3, 2..it is the number one show on the air. I'll take any of those weeks..actually I'd rather he be on the week of his release. I also think wrapping up a successful run on Broadway and by all accounts that's exactly what he'll be doing is just so much better than just appearing out of thin air after being out of sight for a year. I've been quite skeptical about that release date but I'm starting to believe LOL. Really, what plans need to be made to go out and buy an album. None. It's just pure anticipation for me.
  7. It just hit me I'll still be in NYC on May 6th. Oooh hopefully he'll have some pre pub stuff the week before while I'm in NYC. He'll still be in Spamalot so can't really fly off to the west coast untill at least the 5th.What's taped there..all the morning shows, Saturday Night Live, what else?
  8. Ah he's so cute. If he keeps this up he's gonna make me move my expectations from fall to May Martina? I guess Faith Hill got kicked to the curb. Things seem to be coming along nicely. Hope nobody out there is stressing about this
  9. hey I'm a Nielsen family for the week..what do I have to watch besides Idol Rewind LOL.
  10. Playbill So nice to see Spamalot take two consecutive increases. Love the banner!!
  11. You know what's funny to me JMH..is that in NYC it seems nothing to walk 20 blocks yet I'd be bitchen and moaning hte whole way doing it here. I think it's because everything feels alive and there's so much stimulation. Although that was 10 years ago when I used to go every other year and I was much younger then. Now I'll probably be huffing and puffing the whole way.
  12. Oh this is just another part of Clay that I find fascinating. He's said he was never a fan of anyone. Well I can't imagine how it feels for him to have uber fans, fans so focused on him, sometimes to the exclusion of everything else going on. So when he looks at clack of himself singing a duet with QUiana yet you only see him on the video that embarasses him. Or when every time he does somethign, anything, the applause and enthusiasm is overwhelming. After all these years he still hasn't embraced it but it's him. That's the way it is. And in this case I think it's him that has to change a mindset, and he may never do that. But I"m ok with that. I really don't take it personally. I'll continue to react to him how I always do. And that's all any of us can do. Thought he was puny. Bwah!
  13. Nope, but that is quite far from Times Square. Don't know if that matters to you guys or not. Hotels in NYC are very expensive, so perhaps your travel agent is trying to save you some money, but you can often find decent deals in hotels closer in. A lot depends on what else you want to do besides go to the musical. I stayed there before but it was about 10 years ago. It was ok at that time. The thing about NYC IMO..you can get anywhere in a hurry on public trans. Yeah it's 30 blocks away but really that's nothing especially if you're doing all sorts of things in NYC. I remember walking that actually. There's so much to do and see along the way.
  14. Yeah I don't understand this. Most of these small time blogs don't even get read by anyone. But we step up to plate, just as predictable as always. There's another one that didn't even mention Clay, just said something like his career has lasted all idols but Carrie and Kelly. The first two posts have already put Clay's resume. Why? I don't get that. And once you see the first person has attached a long lists of Clay's wonderful attributes why does the second person do it. Next thing you know Clay fans and haters will be duking it out on this poor Nascar person's blog. My mailmain told me the same thing, what am I supposed to do bring him in and give him and update and pout until he sees the light. And now, I'm out of here. Some of us have to work. The stage door picts have been so cute this past weekend. Loved the recaps too. Damn, April is so far away.
  15. oh was that tonight. Oh crap. I so wanted that bear heee. Congrats Clay... he always brings that money in and that's a really special item. no rich people here at FCA? heee
  16. Oh thank god, we won't have to cut her off our list well i've slept the day away and it felt pretty good.
  17. I don't mind discussing or reading about Clay's next album but I don't think it takes much thought to panic and blame RCA. I guess I was never fully convinced there would be an album in May and if there is I suspect we'll start hearing things soon. Isn't it listed on a couple of sites already like Amazon? Anyway, call me at the end of March if there's no concrete news. I'm busy panicking and extrapolating over NYC lodgings. I can panic and extrapolate with the best of them though but not this soon and I'll try to come up with some new and inventive reasons for everything. Mark your calendars.
  18. Well I sat down to watch an evening of entertainment as we pulled out the last DVD of Season one of Heroes...fooled us..there's just ONE episode on it..the final one and wow was it great. Finally I'm ready for season 2. hee Message boards aren't easy JJ. I think the conversation naturally evolved into all sorts of directions and not all in direct relation to anything you said. I'm not going to get into a convo about CG; she felt it necessary to clarify what she said and she did it and that's all any of us can do. It's hard for me to relate because like Play I've been at this for a long and on all sorts of boards, some where you don't wake up until you had your first good kick for the day. It takes a lot to insult or upset me and if I am I'll just say so on the board and clear the air fast if it's somewhere I really want to be. Sorry about the non match. I'll continue to hope for success and soon. Now, NYC. I'm ready to plan but have no idea where to start. Is anyone going to be there during the week that final week before the last show? I need some roomies!! Clay, Spamalot, Carmines (YUM). Can not wait. oh I wanted to say Ialreadyam..every time I see your screen name I think of Clay holding that mic out to us in concert while we sing wait, I already am ..and that look that always corssed his face. Ah good times.
  19. eeeeeeeeeeeeeee for Lucky! Thanks for all the recommendations for seating and for shows. I am a fan of Fantasia so wish I would have been able to go see her in TCP. I don't think it will be still going when I get there at the end of April but if it is I will definitely go see it.
  20. Now that I'm on the ticket hunt, can someone please post again the best places to sit. I know there was a post about it but can't find it. I'm trying to figure out if right or left orchestra is better. If I sit in the mezzanine or balcony which are the better sections to sit. Thanks. Some good seats are still coming up on telecharge but would love a little advice. and can people recommend other shows ot see while in town ETA: Loving all the posts. LAJeterfan, thanks for sharing!! I really enjoyed reading your perspective. I totally relate to loving travel before Clay..he just gave me more destinations to hit.
