  1. Another interesting recap from CV, in light of the discussion:
  2. Here You Come Again I Want to Know What Love Is When I See You Smile These Open Arms Without You Lover All Alone Because You Loved Me Maybe not the whole album, but hardly anything? I love this picture: Definitely check out this album of photos by Scrpkym: http://scrpkym.smugmug.com/gallery/3103200#169710951
  3. Wait'll you see jojoct's Top 40 classics, the full medley. Sure it's opening night and a soccer stadium. I seem to remember really dire predictions about this event when it was first announced. Nobody heckled him (World's Series), nobody threw stuff, lots of people were having fun, the medley is a clever arrangement that's only going to be better. The show is the most challenging one he's ever done, I think, and it hasn't pulled 100% together yet, and I know he'll be tweaking it cause he's a smart, smart man who knows how to entertain. Clay's so comfortable in his own skin these days and I kind of like the guy. He's got a fantastic sense of humor, does not take himself too seriously, and does not take on airs. Speaks his mind. Does his thing.

  11. BWAH!!! Well, people wanted upbeat songs.
  12. I kept waiting to enter my guesses for luckiest1's contest, hoping that Clay would appear to me in a dream and reveal all. Didn't happen. I'm absolutely certain that these guesses are completely wrong, but anyway: Opener: God Bless the USA Right Here Waiting (NOT FOR CONTEST) ATDW medley: Everything I Do (I Do It For You), Here You Come Again, Because You Loved Me, Sorry (NOT FOR CONTEST) Broken Wings Lonely No More Everything I Have (NOT FOR CONTEST) AI medley - Always and Forever, Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me, Solitaire, Buttercup, Grease (NOT FOR CONTEST) Unchained Melody Moon River I Can't Make You Love Me Voulez-vous couchez avec moi (what?) SPECIAL PROJECT - NO CLUE I Will Carry You A Thousand Days Compromise Measure of a Man (a la Capitol Fourth) Closer: Back for More Encore: Lover All Alone No fancy graphic skills here--just a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all!!

  15. I'll be here too. And YRSN unless she's swept away now that she's gotten started. Who else?
  16. I have the 80GB video version. I really resisted buying an iPod--had another brand of mp3 player, but the battery was going and they'd stopped making them. I'm surprised at how much I use my iPod. I have a cable that connects to my TV and often use it to watch clack. I use it in the car instead of CDs or the radio. I take it on walks. I take it with me almost everywhere I go. One thing to keep in mind--the little boogers need a lot of "presents" to enable them to do various things--like the cable for the TV and the transmitter for the car, a case to keep it shiny and a charger to recharge the battery. I bought mine from PCConnection.com--and they had a lot of the accessories available with rebates at the time, most of them free after rebate. I just did some checking and don't see the same deals now, but it could've been a Christmas special of some sort. They do have the 80GB for 331.99 and free shipping, which is a good deal, but mine had a rebate and ended up costing only $300. Sales on iPods are rare. I highly recommend getting AppleCare as well--more costs--but if your battery goes (and it will sooner or later) during the warranty period, they will replace it free. I hatessss iTunes though.
  17. First 10: 'Way After One And My Daddy Ain't Come Home Yet - Edna Winston (I'm A) Roadrunner - Junior Walker & The All Stars (I Don't Want to Go to) Chelsea - Elvis Costello (I Know) I'm Losing You - Rare Earth (I Know) I'm Losing You - The Temptations (Love Is Like A) Heat Wave - Martha Reeves & The Vandellas (Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay - Otis Redding (The Angels Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes - Elvis Costello (You've Got) The Magic Touch - The Platters 30 Days in the Hole - Humble Pie Top 10 (This is somewhat deceptive because I just got the iPod in December (hence AIW up top), and I still play CD's, including burns of various Clay songs. Right now I'm working my way through a Blues playlist on the iPod with over 300 songs on it.) All is Well - AIW Christmas Waltz AIW Oh Come Oh Come Emmanuel - AIW Lover All Alone - ATDW My Grown Up Christmas List - AIW I Know How the River Feels - LWLHD Rain [Live] - Little Charlie & The Nightcats It Hurts Me Too - Elmore James All Your Love - Otis Rush Lonely No More - ATDW Couchie, I love transferring old CD's to my Pod. I've purchased relatively little music for my Pod.
  18. Clay's Wikipedia entry has recently been rewritten and the rewrite does rock. So treenuts, you're right about that. On the other hand, you have this: Pedophiles on Wikipedia, so ldyjocelyn, as you know, I agree with you in general. Treenuts, I think if you knew more about the history of Clay's bio on Wikipedia, it might help. Good--I'm deleting those links now.
