Sure, I can understand why some could get hurt feelings reading here. Happens when some of us leave here and go "there", too. Que sera, sera. Yup. Couchie, I edited myself because I feel like I'm just stirring the turd. I don't think FCA is a bad/mean board. I enjoy reading here and would like to participate more, but I don't feel like I'm one of the core members. I also can't log on at work and I'm always behind. I do understand that FCA feels like I'm attacking them, and I'm not. I wouldn't have said anything if YSRN had not posted. I thought FCA might appreciate seeing how it is viewed by SOME people out there. Obviously, YSRN had her feelings hurt and some could not understand it.

I was not expecting trout here and I was not and am not expecting FCA to change. I was only voicing an opinion, which I am free to do here. I've gotten more attention in the last 12 hours than I've received the entire time I've been posting here. I'll continue lurking because I do appreciate the intelligence of this board. There were posts here that detailed how other boards were mean. I agreed with all of them. Every board is 'mean' in its own way. I feel that FCA, instead of being mean to individual posters, is mean to other boards. I just edited myself, because I think I'm in a no-win situation. Some members here will never see how their posts could be considered mean to people who post at other boards or how feelings could be hurt.

I spoke to Claygasm about this in January. It's hard to articulate. There are 'some' here who do make fun of the other boards. They make fun of them before anything even happens. That's why I could relate to what YSRN said. I believe her point was: why do you go to the other boards and read and then come here and bitch about them? If you dislike them so much, why don't you just stay here? When I first started reading here, I was turned off by a lot of what I saw posted here in regards to other boards. On the other hand, you can have great discussions here without the trouting. I appreciate that. No board is perfect. I think each board does have a reputation. CH = Cool people. You have to be special to be allowed in. I have zero interest in being a member there. CV = A heavily moderated board. There is a lot of non-Clay talk there and I think that makes CV different in a good way. CB = A heavily moderated board that is totally confusing to read so I only go there when a link is posted. OFC = A board where you can trash Clay constantly and it's not a fun place to be. FCA = A board with very little moderation that sometimes thinks it's above others and makes fun of the other boards and many of their posters. RHT = A board with no moderation that has been slowly dying for years. Not the place to go if you want fast-breaking news. I'm not trying to mean. I'm giving you my impressions and what I have heard from some others. If you ask me specific questions, I'll try to answer. If there are any lurkers who would like to chime in, please do so. I don't think FCA has to change and I'm not asking for that. I'm just expressing my opinion. I know that I'm not alone.

YSRN, I understand what you are saying. I do feel that 'sometimes' this board takes a 'we are better than them' attitude and I have been turned off by it. (Sorry FCAers, just being honest. FCA does have a rep as a mean board.) What I posted here tonight, I would have posted at CV, only I would have been green inked for doing so. I won't make fun of the other boards for wanting to angst, but I would like to express my amazement at the angst without being slapped down for having an opinion.

Reading here this evening was refreshing. I found myself shaking my head at the angst at some of the other boards. I don't get the point of angsting over a stupid article. I did a lot of scrolling.

On Sunday afternoon, I saw the dad and his two kids outside by the cutout of the French taunters. The little girl was holding the bouquet and I asked the dad if they knew Hannah. He said no and smiled. They were a very happy group.

I do have a sense of humor. Twenty four hours of word filters is just too much. A joke done over and over and over is tiresome.

You and me both, Paulette! At least it will make me work more and puruse less! I'm on vacation and was looking forward to being able to actually keep up and participate by posting. Ain't going to happen today. I saw you at Spamalot on Sunday afternoon. I was standing with Nardolyn during intermission. She was going to leave and I talked her into getting SRO tickets. She had been sitting way to the left the day before and missed a lot of the play. She was really glad that she stayed. She had to leave right after YWSOB but it was the best $21 she ever spent.

I hates the April Fool's word filter and I'm glad you aren't doing that here. Thank you.

They won!!! I don't even recognize their names yet. Hubby told me we only three of the original fielders from last year. I'll get to know them over the next few weeks. Torii Hunter got a nice reception.

All I saw was people posting their points of view. I don't think anyone said that you can't like Simon. They just stated why they don't like him. I feel that Simon is a self-centered asshole. Many times I agree with his commentary but I don't think he's a 'good' person. The only person he really cares about is himself. Do I hate him. No. He's not worth my time.

That's exactly what my husband said. He hates Broadway. I took him to Spamalot and asked him what he thought. He said it had too much singing!!! He hated the Lady of the Lake and he adored the French taunting scene. He also thought Clay was really good.

I'm watching the download and Trenyce really did struggle. KLo is singing now. Clay did it so much better.
