  1. I rode on a plane with him from Atlanta to NC for the Gala in October. But I want to know how he's doing too. Not to mention more about Reed. And Clay. *sigh*
  2. No. Shit. Sherlock. Excuse my French, but he NEEDS to sing songs like these!
  3. About damn time we got this one! Sawoon!!!!!!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
  4. pbpulse.com Clay Aiken at Mirasol: Golf, inclusion and fatherhood
  5. And from the same Twitterer: Oh Hi There Clay Aiken So aikim beat me, but I have the pic posted! HA!
  6. I'm not sure why exactly, but I'm pleased that the NY Times didn't identify Clay in the picture. I just like it that he's just a face in the crowd, for some reason. I also find it extremely cool that we have a more "official" picture of Clay and Reed together. (lilyshine, I agree that it's nice that this appeared in the NY Times, not some rag. Also had to laugh at your purchasing the paper today -- he's still got you in his purchasing hands!) Tech notes: anyone here use Google Chrome as their browser? I'm loving it, and they released a new version today that allows for extensions. I just discovered a great extension -- Picnik. I can now click on the little link in Google Chrome, pick the picture I want to crop/save that's on the web page I'm on, work with it, and then save it automatically to my Photobucket (or Facebook, or Flickr, or many other services). It took me about 30 seconds to take this: and make it into this: So very very cool! OK, off the tech soapbox!
  7. Clayzy -- I've missed you! {{{{{hugs}}}} Anyway -- that piece was part of a benefit for Broadway Cares. I can't remember the name of the actual benefit, couchie can chime in because she was THERE! All the Broadway shows (and many of the off-Broadway shows) put together a number that was crazy/satirical in nature, and this was the "entry" from the cast of Spamalot. Lurve the new tweet from today...YAY for 7 years ago today! (Although...I wasn't there when it happened. Sob.)
  8. In some instances for his questions, he could go to the FCA Timeline (although I didn't document his times he failed to appear in Spamalot). Just sayin'. Hee. ETA: And if I had time, I'd count it all up for him.
  9. Thank you both for your stories merrieeee and goldarngirl. gdg, interesting artist, interesting comments, and it's nice that you like gentlemen crooners. I always thought Clay fit that bill quite well... And merrieeee, I think your story illustrates why I'm never worried about Clay and his career. I think there are lots of people out there who know Clay, like Clay and his voice, and will come back enough to buy an album, and watch his TV special (and pledge for PBS in the process!). He's unforgettable in my book!
  10. The only thing Faye said that Clay didn't was that it was definitely the PBS special that was to be taped. Meanwhile....back to admiring my new avatar... They're so dweeeeeeemy.... Oh, and guess what? I've got pink eye! I'm officially off work tomorrow because of it.
  11. I'll comment more later, when I'm not on the reference desk, about the blog. But...more new pictures from Tom's b-day party. *sigh* He looks so happy.
  12. From the CH: The show "FELA" which is running on Broadway I watched the last 3/4 of the telethon last night, and I was impressed with Sting, and, surprisingly, Justin Timberlake (but then, he sang one of my most favorite songs ever, "Hallelujah").
  13. CV and CH have already dubbed it "Magical Mystery Date." LOL!
  14. Anyone can start threads in the Miscellaneous Events thread. I'm just sayin'. [tm Our boyfriend, writing in his blog]
  15. I was thinking the same thing. I was also wondering about cell phones...if you know what I mean, and I think you do.
  16. clayismynumber1, go to the fanclub and read his latest blog. He can't give details yet, but he says we may want to do some traveling to Raleigh on the day...
  17. First of all -- thanks jmh for creating the new thread! She did a fine, fine job! I'm feeling better today, and am at work, albeit at a different library location than normal. Fortunately, it's fairly quiet around here now, so I can do this... EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! *ahem* That date might work for me, as it is right before Spring Break. BUT....do I want to blow my travel money on this, and then have him announce a tour later? I really can't afford to do more than one Clay trip per year. Besides, I'm planning a trip with my husband for the last two weeks in June to Washington, DC. (Anyone have any hotel tips for that city, BTW?) But still. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
