  1. The blog is now on the public side of the OFC, so (hopefully) that's where the N&O got their story. I also just have a feeling that Clay just.doesn't.care.anymore how his words are taken. God love him for that. preden, we need to work on your double postings!
  2. Gotta figure out a way to make this into a thread title... Some new caps from the DF event...I found these at Openly Clay, but I don't know the original source:
  3. Squeeeeeeee! PBS Special! Album, schmalbum...the PBS thing is what makes ME excited! What a cool blog in general. Too much to digest in one sitting.
  4. A new tweet from Clay Aiken posted earlier this evening: The link is for the Rob919 video of UM from the David Foster and Friends appearance in San Jose.
  5. {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{jmh}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} Take care of yourself....and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. ____ On a totally different note... A new tweet from Clay Aiken posted earlier this evening: The link is for the Rob919 video of UM from the other night.
  6. According to this post from last year (which I don't seem to have in the BAF archives, my bad), the number last year was "over $500,000." Considering the economy, I'd say they did pretty darn good.

  9. Thank GOD for non-elimination rounds! I couldn't watch the last few minutes of this episode, so I'm hopeful for next week... OTOH...Matt, Matt, Matt? Next week doesn't look good for someone who doesn't know that word...
  10. Lucky you. I love Steely Dan. Did they do "Gaucho." I hope they come to Houston. I am so there! They did songs from that album, but not the song itself. And sadly, no Houston. My husband bought the tour Tshirt, and no Houston mentioned. It was a fun show -- great music, but little banter. For these guys, that works. For Clay -- if there was no banter -- well, crap. I can't imagine a show without some banter. Even the 2007 show had some banter at the end. One more thing about the Steely Dan show...it was just as fun to watch the audience. There were more than a few people in my section that were into dancing to every.single.song. And then, just as many people yelling at them to "SIT DOWN!" Hee. Have you seen the movie "Ghost?" If you have, you've heard the original. At this point, for me, The Righteous Brothers and Clay are deadlocked on who does it better. Each different in their own way, and each fantastic. It's a gorgeous day here, and yet, my allergies are killing me. Besides, everyone seems to be burning their leaves here, and that makes my allergies even worse. So much for a walk outside... Off to watch the new clack! Sorry you are sick KAndre...
  11. Hey! I'm in Merrillville, Indiana! As a matter of fact, I'm in the same hotel I stayed at for Clay, 2006. *waves at luckiest1* This time, it's for my husband's favorite band, Steely Dan. They are doing one of their albums, Aja, from beginning to end, plus extra songs at the end of the set. I love this concept, and can't wait for Clay to try something like that in 10-20 years. Yeah, I'm confident he'll still be singing at that time!
  12. Making this one a new post, if it will let me... From the videographer, moonriver919 at CV:
  13. You know what? That man KILLS on that song. No two ways about it. When he first sang UM 6 1/2 years ago on AI, I was impressed, but it was never my favorite. Now? I can listen to him nail that high note for hours on end, not to mention the low notes at the beginning. Yummy. Love hearing the banter too. As much as I love the music, I love the talk too. Clay Aiken. The perfect package. Funny, warm, talented, and so much more. I also love him for just kind of casually showing up. Just enough to give me another morsel. That will sustain me for a bit. 16. Anything for my favorite couch...or is that tomato? New tweet from today:
  17. The latest episode was exhausting! Wow. I felt really sorry for the poker girls -- giving their all. And to think at the first episode I just didn't like them. I'm hoping the final three are the Globetrotters, the father/son duo, and Megan/Cheyne. The gay brothers are good too, I just like the others better!
  18. Congratulations couchie! I've found that with my bank at least, even if it was MY fault for doing an overdraft or two (or 8, LOL), if you ask them nicely in many instances, they'll be somewhat forgiving. I suppose it depends on the bank though. I'd turn vampire for a chance at that! bottlecap, I hope you enjoy all the candy corn in the world today. Me personally? Can't stand the stuff, so you can have my supply at least. Happy Halloween everyone!
  19. Oh man, couchie....sorry to hear about all this. This is the week that sucks, right? If anyone is interested in what Reed's up to lately...he's posted a few videos on YouTube of his teaching his classes in Paris. Here's one:
