  1. Time to leave for the airport! Woohoo! I'll be taking all my FCA friends with me, either in person or in spirit! :04: :04: :04:
  2. And I was the first one to reply to him! Hee! Well, my bathroom is mostly remodeled. Went from some OK striped/patterned wallpaper to maroon walls. New fiberglass tub. New toilet. New vanity. It looks NICE! I'll post pictures next week, probably. EEEEEEEEEEEEE! I'm packed, and mostly ready to go! I can't believe it's time! Looking forward to seeing friends, old and new. And I will be taking all my FCA friends with me in spirit. You can count on it.
  3. Fear, I watched the Alton Brown show last Saturday night. Alton and Ted Allen together on the same stage -- I would have LOVED to have been at that show! I can't believe I have only one more day of work before I leave for Raleigh! Work has been insane lately, and I feel like I'm in a fog, partially because of getting to see Clay, but also partially because some people at work have s**t for brains. Plus, hubby and I are in the middle of having contractors here to remodel our bathroom. The tub is in, the tile is partially in -- and they are supposed to finish today! HA! Of course, with me leaving tomorrow, I'm afraid I'll come back and find my husband has put all the stuff back in the bathroom in totally the wrong places! Yeah, I'm like Clay like that. LOL. Almost forgot -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY "Measure of a Man!"
  4. {{{{{Desertrose}}}}} I think almost everyone knows someone with Alzheimer's or related diseases -- in my case, it was my Aunt. OTOH, I'm proud of my nephew...he's running the Chicago Marathon soon, and while doing that, will be raising money for the Alzheimer's Association via pledges.
  5. I can't believe in one week, I'll be in Raleigh! EEEEEEEEEEEE! Seeing Clay, and seeing all my Clay friends, both old and new! Fear, check with preden about "room in our room." As far as I know, we're at the Sheraton. preden, I can vouch for Fear, even though you've never met ME either! LOL! I just made a donation on Facebook to the National Inclusion Project to honor Clay's grandfather. Anyone who can afford to do so, please contribute!

Be on the lookout for another one soon; liney and I have been in discussions for creating another tourney, one with more input from all of you!
  7. I want to thank all of you for your kind words on the tournament. I'm thrilled that we had between 75 and 100 people voted every day! It was also a lot of fun to put together, especially since it meant looking so many varied pictures of Clay, all of them enjoyable in their own way.
