30 Rock is one of those shows that I don't make time for, but when I DO watch it, I always say "why AREN'T I watching this on a regular basis?" IMO, it's a fairly smart, literate comedy. Glad to see you around merrieeee! From Openly Clay: Lauren Kennedy played the Lady of the Lake way back in 2005, so I don't think there is a connection there, but who knows.

ATDW was officially released the day after my birthday. However, it was totally a birthday present for MEEEEEEEE -- I went to one of the release parties, and I was also one of the few that had NOT listened to the spoilers, which had been released about 2 weeks beforehand. Therefore, on the way home that night, by myself, in my car, I had the pleasure of listening to the entire album for the first time. It was a great experience. (Almost drove off the road the first time I heard Clay sing one of those low "goooooo" in HYCA, but that's a different story...hee). I totally agree with this. There have been days when I've been certain one picture would win over another, because that one was truly one of my favorites...only to have it trounced. And some of the battles I would have never predicted their closeness. I like that this tourney is showing exactly as you say -- no universal agreement. Yes -- and the main character was played by Parminder Nagra -- who went on to portray Neela on "ER." I love that movie! Well, birthday weekend is getting back on track. Yesterday, except for breakfast out, hubby and I stayed home. Hubby ended up running a fever yesterday afternoon! No shopping and dinner out for us at all. It seems his fever has broken though, so we're going to Granite City (a Midwest chair brew pub) for their Sunday brunch, and then to see "The Informant" with Matt Damon. Topic: I wonder how Reed likes taking care of Clay when Clay's sick...

I sent this out when I sent out the last email about the tourney, but the entire photo album is here. Anything marked with a "no" is out of the tourney. Sorry, canfly, but your picture lost yesterday. Yeah, this is a true random, 64 picture tourney. As I said in my emails about this (does no one read them? *g*), I pretty much randomly put the pictures in the photobucket account, and then had my husband draw numbers to set up the brackets. I swear on a stack of Rolling Stones that I've kept this tourney as fair and honest as possible. Personally, I do think this one is tough, because I truly loved the GLAAD outfit, the haircut, even the damn jaw. But I also thought he looked great at the UNICEF thing too. *shrug*

bottlecap, that's too cute...and also a bit scary. Hee. "Birthday weekend" isn't quite turning out as planned, because hubby now has the cold I had three days ago. So, instead, we are "hanging low" today. We've watched one episode of "thirtysomething," as I asked for the first season on DVD. I love my own dichotomy -- I love Star Trek, but I also love that show too. Anyway, I think we will manage to go out to dinner tonight. Thanks guys for the b-day wishes. As it happens, my "birthday weekend" plans might be a bit of a moot point, as my husband now seems to have my cold. We'll see how it goes! EEEEEEEEE for Clay being close to a recording studio! At this point, that's all I'll assume about that. Yesterday's photo poll, I think, was the mother of all blowouts. The winner won with 85% of the vote! And here is that winner... ETA: in checking statistics, we have had others that were this much of a blowout...about 3 others to be exact!
