  1. True cindilu...but as someone who is going to be away for the entire day (HAPPY 88TH BIRTHDAY MOM!), I was hoping to print all out and take them with me to read. Besides, my brain gets confuzzled if I use the "back" button too much. Personal choice, though. And I just noticed...no comments allowed on the latest blog.
  2. Or, the easier way to see all his answers (you gotta be logged in to the OFC though): Clay Answers our Questions (Archive thread compiled by butterflyshine)
  3. Damn, I went to bed about a half hour too early last night. And then the link he posted on his blog didn't work for me! Thanks to those who did post a link that I could use! What a great boyfriend we have.. He entertained me for almost 4 hours with his answers -- some extremely serious, some extremely witty, some sarcastic, some surprising (I too was thrown by the Love Me Tender thing). I love that he took the time for that. And then...to wake up this morning to new music from the man. Hearing it "for real" (not with a crappy live recording) makes me really love the song! It's fantastic.
  4. The thread is almost up to a hundred pages at this point. butterflyshine hasn't updated the summary thread in a few hours, I think she's too busy being a mod in the original thread (editing out people who AREN'T asking questions...)
  5. While I loved his Ann Coulter answer, the answer to his smoking a cigarette is priceless. So is his story about Ruben tying his ties during the AI tour. :::heart:::
  6. If you don't want to scroll through the (now) 53 pages of questions just to get to the ones he's answered, butterflyshine has set up an archived thread here (you must be a member of the OFC and logged in to see): Ask Clay a Question -- Answers thread Whoops, just noticed that's page two of the thread...you'll have to backtrack for page one... And I'm in love...he most wants to slap upside the head Ann Coulter. Good for him! Can't stand that witch.
  7. I keep forgetting to congratulation claytonic on her lottery winnings. Can you rub some of your luck on me please? Another trading card via roxluvsclay at CV. And here's the write up on the back of that card from LVClaymate1130 at the CB: Well, the autism thing is pretty close, but I do think the BAF is a little more inclusive than that. Hee. The problem with these cards is that we don't know how many of these are being made, and in what packs. Way back when, I was a huge Star Wars fan, and I collected the trading cards. There was always an elusive one or two that I NEVER did find (while managing to wrack up 5 or 6 of different cards). I wonder if they will make Clay's a bit hard to find?
  8. I just noticed...do the shoes match the collar of the jacket? Love. OTOH, I'm disappointed that I can't see the socks.
  9. broadway.com Clay Aiken, Linda Eder and More Hit Tavern for Family Equality
  10. From the CB, the Clay AI trading card, posted by Misty1958: Via getclayaiken (all clickable): For luckiest1:
  11. tribeca, thank you for bringing over that blurb about Clay's appearance on 30 Rock. I saw it yesterday and then forgot to copy it over! It sounds like it should be a good show. I'm still basking in the glow of last night, even if I didn't get to listen to the cellcert. There's video out there, though...I'll be patient. Recaps brought over from the CH: ____ Found this early today as well. I don't remember him ever saying this before. It's from an article titled "Is this Going to Be the Gay Summer of Love?" at queerty.com: Is this from a new interview that "we" haven't found yet?
  12. Clack Unlimited has the NYC Fox News clip up already! The clip is here....
  13. Just saw Clay on the Fox News stream.... He looked adorable. He talked about how his life changed once he had a kid -- "that before I had a kid, I didn't care what happened after I died!" The announcers also then said that he bought a "green" car as a partial way to protect his child's future. Love him...don't care about the people who make wandacleo want to heave...
  14. http://www.myfoxny.com/subindex/video/live_video Fox News NYC streams... Only for Clay would I watch Fox News....
  15. OFC is reporting that Fox News out of NYC (Channel 5?) is covering this shindig.
  16. I think the bigger question is...why do I care? I'd much rather celebrate Clay and his achievement this evening. It sounds like his speech, while fairly off the cuff, had some good humor and some good emotional feeling to it. So to the criticizers, whomever they may be...I don't care. I'll take Clay any day.
  17. While the rest of you have been talking movies/pop culture/likes and dislikes, I've been busy at work. Now that I share an office with someone who is there almost all the time, I don't have nearly the time to check the boards. OTOH...this means that I'm bringing stuff over from getclayaiken that was posted a few hours ago! And I think they both originated at CV! I hadn't noticed until someone posted this, but that's the car he drove to the hospital when Parker was born. Here's the link, if any of you can give a listen. Faye on G105
  18. And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why I simply LOVED "Mystery Science Theater 3000." A show that basically did that, except with better writers than what I could provide as commentary. I miss that show.
  19. clayzy, if you hit the little "quote" button at the end of each post you wish to quote, and then hit the "add reply" button at the bottom of your screen, all your quoted posts should be there. Then, delete out the stuff you don't want to quote, and voila! I'm all over the map regarding what I love and what I don't. It's just my taste, and I own it. I do, however, have a problem with things being "oversold" to me, and I try not to do that, even with Clay. Gotta say I don't always succeed though -- because I would heartily recommend "Slumdog Millionaire" to anyone! I am also a firm believer in trying things more than once. I found it frustrating when some people listened to ATDW once and then put it away -- I found I appreciated some of the songs more the more they inhabited my consciousness!
  20. couchie, I've read that the CH has to check with Eva about the possibility of a cellcert from them. They were talking about suspending cellcerts until Clay decides to tour. Now I have to dig out my CV cellcert information... Thanks treenuts! I think I'll add a few too...
  21. Gee. Sounds like an awful lot of Clay Aiken fans. *ducks* For veggies, I buy fresh on the weekend, eat them up as soon as possible, and then rely on bagged frozen for the rest of the week. Fruits are a different story -- but that's why I LOVED those infamous HoneyCrisp apples. I could buy a peck of those and they would last for 2 weeks, easily. Yes, they cost more, but if I actually used them...it was worth it. Gotta go in to work for a bit. Yuck.
  22. I think the whole Susan Boyle thing is...interesting. I do see it as bit of a sociological experiment, at how people are conditioned to expect that someone who isn't a stunning looking thing cannot also be talented. I'll admit to putting off watching the clip for quite a while, because I can also be somewhat a little like jamar and cagney. I still haven't seen "Forrest Gump" to this day, and when I finally saw "Titanic" (after 3 years), I was like -- "that's it?" I wasn't blown away to tears by Susan's voice, but as I said earlier, I think the audience reaction is the most interesting thing. Do I think she'll get media overexposed? Sure. That's what happens with almost every phenomenon like this. However, I give a little slack to the people who are overboard for her at the moment. Why? Because I can now somewhat put myself in the shoes of someone who, in 2003, was probably sick of Clay Aiken. I think that if YouTube would have been around in 2003, Clay's audition clip with have been the hot clip at the time. As it is, his audition was THE watercooler moment for a while. Susan's clip is that thing today -- except that the watercooler has been replaced with people sharing a clip at their computers. As for "us" talking about her...well, IMO, it prevents "us" from making up stories about Clay and his career that somehow get turned into fact during slow periods. LOL. Actually, I don't mind the OT talk on the main thread, because IMO it allows me to learn more about the interests of the people around me on this board. That's the way friendships are built. I know not getting career news from Clay is hard, but I guess I'm just a patient person. And I still consider myself an Alfred E. Newman of this fandom -- "What me, worry?"
