  1. Good Morning, FCA! Here's a little something to help with any sluggish holiday spirit: Santa and Reindeer Sing 12 Days. I try to check the OFC birthdays daily so I can wish a "Happy Happy" to those who read my blog there. Lo and behold, I discovered a couple of extras for this board. Not sure if LonelyNoMore equals LNM44, but I'll include you, too. This seems to be a popular day, so I may miss someone after all. to wandacleo, keldanker, and LonelyNoMore! Last Friday night I heard Clay on the radio FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER and about lost it at a very busy intersection. The story is in my blog, along with other stuff: Carolina On My Mind. When you click on the blog, you will hear the MCWL greeting from the previous entry. I guess it will play the whole time it's on the front page, even into January. Love vanislandgirl's recap, which I have now seen on at least three boards. How exciting! Have fun with Roombas, Scarlett! If you locate the one that "picks up beforehand," holler! Have a great day, all! Caro
  2. Who would have thought that Carolina Clay would be a smutter, too! LOL, talk about being misquoted ... "extended family." Have a great trip, Luckiest1! :thbighug-1: Cindy, I sure could use a graphic like that banner. Piano student alert ... see y'all later! Caro
  3. Good Morning, FCA! Hope everyone is having a super week. My students are preparing for holiday performance classes the 17th and 18th, so there's lots of polishing going on. I wrote a little about this in my current blog: Christmas Music Fills the Air. Very handsome banner, cindilu2! Welcome, smitten / claylaughs! I think the Clay-Reed relationship is their business. Not that the media and off-the-wall bloggers (I never saw so many on a Google search!) will leave them alone. Since he's in show biz, I think Reed will be able to handle all of Clay's "extended family." One of our members -- xxx4clay -- is in surgery for cancer this morning. Prayers, good thoughts, candles will be appreciated. This is her page at the Gratefulness site: xxx4clay. Take care, and have a great day! :clay: Caro
  4. Canuck is in the bottom left corner. You see her a few times before she has her picture taken with Clay at 2:25 on the video. Rosa surprised me with a calendar today. One of my violin mothers brought in my mail and put it on the end of the grand piano. I was rehearsing with five overlapping students and didn't see the mail until the end of lessons at 5:30. It really is very special, professionally done, and, for me, a complete surprise. Caro
  5. Good Afternoon, FCA! I usually get over here, catch up, and then have to leave. Glad to have a chance to say "hello"! I love this video because we get to see Canuck and Clay. Thank you to whomever wrote days ago that you still receive Google alerts to know when the Carolina On My Mind blog is up. They are usually posted every 3-4 days. I don't always mention them here, but the current entry features SueReu's winning "Amazing Journey" montage, as well as some "ancient history" RE my connection with the songwriter of IWCY and ISY. The montage inspired me to "time travel." At the bottom of the Carolina blog is an add-on about the 2009 Clay Aiken Calendars. Ninety have been shipped this week, but the new info is about the 10 extras on Ebay: Previous info about the calendar project was in the 11/13 and 11/20 blogs. Have a great time SPAMMING, Luckiest1 and Kareneh! A super week, all! Caro
  6. Happy Thanksgiving, FCA! Couldn't have said that better, Wanda, although Sally says the run-off ads are something else in Georgia. Of course, that's only for a few weeks; and we swing states had "the works" for months. Not complaining, however, because I'm very happy with the results. Loved Clay's interview during the parade. He was definitely a bright spot on Rosie's show. The touchpad on this new laptop is driving me crazy. Within two days I ordered a laser mouse, LOL! I'm afraid to highlight because the page will jump back two spaces. I have copied/saved all the way through this post. Definitely looking forward to the mouse! Handsome banner, cindilu2! Have a very special weekend, all! Caro
  7. Happy Thanksgiving Week, FCA! I added to my Thanksgiving list the fact that Clay is on appearance rounds this week. I also blogged about this, including lots of links and photos. Used one of your screen caps, Cotton, and cindilu2's handsome "suit" graphic. The blog is at the OFC and at Carolina On My Mind. I am still learning how to operate this trigger-happy computer. I have lost lots of work today so have finally learned to save along the way. Have a great evening, all! Caro
  8. Congratulations, cindilu2! I would bet there are very few CA fans who don't have at least one of your graphics/calendars/animations saved on their hard drive. Me? I could write your resume! Bravo! LOL, I received that email, too. Go, Wandacleo! I'm trying to get used to Vista and a touch pad with wheels. I hope this gets fun ... SOON! Have a great week, FCA! Caro
  9. Yep, it's Cotton's birthday. I notice she doesn't have it listed on the calendar. However, it's at CV and in my address book. Better send her a get well card, too! Rosa does a TBAF project every year. Last season it was embroidered socks. Although the site is down, she still completes orders for that. I think she had a variety of colors, as well as either "CLAY" or "TBAF" on the socks. This was a very successful fundraiser, too; and I'm pretty sure I blogged about it. Caro
  10. Luckiest1, I think you literally doubled what Rosa planned to sell. The word spread to other boards, too, many that were new to me. All for a good cause! Later ... Caro
  11. Hello, FCA! The whiteness is melting here, too. It sure was pretty -- but I'll take balmy Novembers any day. Luckiest1, thnx for posting about the 2009 CA Calendar at the CH. The Carolina blog rarelt receives visits from that board, and last week there were tons. I followed the "live feed" link to see what was going on. This, of course, led me to the blurb you posted about Rosa's calendar. LOL, sales have gone through the roof and will provide a tidy TBAF donation. In the current entry, I posted a reminder that Monday (11/24) is the order deadline, along with a clickable of all 12 months. One reader has already received the calendar, and she commented that it really is a professional job. Kewl! :clay: to Cotton! Hope your day is very special! Have a great weekend, all! Caro
  12. Hello, FCA! Knock on wood, my "Friday the 13th" Weekend is over -- a dead battery on the way to teach on Friday and leaking roof on Saturday that eventually cost me $2,800. I checked my online banking this morning, and "Ronnie the Roofer" (who did a great job) wasted no time getting to the bank. OUCH!!! Only good thing was the narrative gave me a heckuva blog topic for Everything I Don't Need. Meanwhile, in catching up ... awesome graphics, cindilu2! Love the new banner, too! Verra, verra handsome! Thank you for this info, claytonic -- I joined my local Freecycle group this morning. Since this is "Green Week," I just might include it in a blog, too. Y'all have a great week. I'm off to teach some piano and viola! Caro
  13. Happy TGIF, FCA! Hope y'all are doing well. I read here often. However, my schedule keeps me running with posting time low. Thnx for all the SPAM recaps. Thanks! I just did the cap pausing the video and using print screen & paste into Photoshop Elements, but I also have this program that filters noise better than anything I have ever seen and its actually free. The name of it escapes me at the moment, but I will post it later tonight. It really cleans up photos well. Claylove, I so agree! Looking forward to the name of your program. Hope you don't mind that I inserted your version in my blog: Carolina On My Mind Besides Wrapping for Inclusion, I focused on other TBAF fundraisers, along with Parker's "appearance" on the Dr. Phil Show. One of the other fundraisers is a 2009 Clay calendar created by Rosaratana, an OFC member, and featuring performance photos by Toni7babe. If you are interested, see order/contact info in the blog. Below are clickables of the cover and January: ETA: Awesome news about the Rachel Maddow Show! Have a great Friday and weekend! Caro
  14. Hello, FCA! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Scarlett, loved your recap and reports! I'm with Couch Tomato on the head exploding. Lots of real life but have been missing you guys. I still blog at Carolina On My Mind and the OFC -- twice a week. The door is always open. We have a Celebrations Thread in Clayversity's PSP Forum, which I have just reset for today's big event: cindilu2! Have a very special day! Have an awesome day, all! Caro
  15. Good Morning, FCA! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Sending good thoughts for all our Gulf Coast members. I hope you all stay safe. :thbighug-1: During my childhood, I lived through Hurricane Hazel in Wilmington, 10 miles from the coast. That was always my guage for a dangerous storm until I rode out the F-5 Lubbock Tornado in a mobile home. Stupid move on my part. The devastation for the narrow strip of the city hit was unbelievable. I was working for the Lubbock newspaper, and -- like our home -- the office was dead center in the tornado path. The first couple of editions afterwards we sent our copy to the Amarillo paper to be printed. annabear, thank you for sharing this beautiful story. TGIF -- take care, all! Caro
  16. Hello, FCA! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Welcome to lynnie171 -- glad to have you here! Ditto, Play! I quoted you and included the Worldwide link in my new blog at Carolina On My Mind. The main focus is "Something About Us" and includes several montages featuring this OMWH song. Featured graphics are by AmazingCA, cindilu2, and Ambassador of Love. Hope you enjoy! :clay: Have a super week, all! Caro
  17. Good Morning, FCA! Hope all is well! NC seems to have escaped Hanna with some heavy winds, and -- over here in the Triad -- rain that is providing drought relief. There are some who are without power, and morning TV shows are filled with flash flood warnings. Congrats, RIFAN! Playbiller, you could write "Hints from Heloise." ausdon! Have a great day, all! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
  18. merrieeee! Looking forward to all the SPAMTASTIC reports! Here's cindilu2's graphic on the topic: Have a great day, FCA! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
  19. Hello, FCA! Kudos on the "Spamalot" pin sale, FCA! I'm sure those few extras will fly on the shelves, Couch Tomato! SPAMTASTIC Reprise Nears / Counting Down to 9/19: New blog with new graphics by cindilu2 and Amazing_CA, as well as "Spamalot" montages by Yollie950 and Snowluv4. The blog is posted at the OFC and at Carolina On My Mind. Hope you enjoy! BettyJean, thnx for sharing your graphics here. Cotton, hope you and our families will be safe during Hanna's assault on the Carolina coasts. Have a great week, all! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
  20. Aloha, Betty Jean, and welcome to FCA! Wandacleo, how big is your table? I think we're all coming to dinner! Safe vibes to all on the Gulf Coast! :thbighug-1: Happy Labor Day, all! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
  21. Hello, FCA! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Welcome to our new members! Thnx to Cindilu2 and Couch Tomato, there will be many well-decorated folks at "Spamalot" this fall. I can still see traffic from the "pin blog" trickling to the FCA link, so you must be busy, CT! Sending good vibes to everyone along the Gulf Coast. I googled "Category 4" storms. You may find the info very interesting: Safe flight to our world travelers! Take care, all! :thbighug-1: Caro
  22. LOL, Couchie, I can tell how busy you are going to be by the Carolina "live feed." I kid you not, there is a steady stream of people arriving at the pin blog from Ideal Idol and heading directly to the FCA. Have fun! Playbiller --Ditto to CT's remark! Caro :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  23. Hello, FCA! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Couch Tomato, you should be receiving lots of non-FCA orders. The "Spamalot pin" blog has been linked in the top right corner of the News & Articles page at IdealIdol. Keep the lines open! Thnx, Kareneh! Also, thank you for telling us your blog's new name. It's kewl, and I changed the ID in my Blogroll. I'm between students. Have a great evening, all! :thbighug-1: Caro
  24. Thank you, Cindy. My former editor would be proud. Btw, one of the blog comments about the pins is similar to your "Faboo" ... NEATO! You are welcome, Couchie. I was trying to get across that the number of orders you receive by Friday will determine how many pins you order. I'll work on the wording. Have a great evening, all! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
