  1. Hello, FCA! :F_05BL17blowkiss: I just put up a "Special Edition" blog about the FCA Spamalot pins. I hope you will drop by Carolina On My Mind and leave a comment (see below). Also, please share this info with other boards since Aug. 29 is only two days away. Take a look at the SPOTLIGHT BLOGS in the sidebar. Many of us have been involved in posting multiple entries and leaving lots of comments to help drive the Clay Blogs higher in Google searches. These are comments for Clay, not us. My previous blog was only in its second day (I usually blog every three days), and I hope you check it out, too. Aiken Artists Use Their Voice features many fan montages in the political and humanitarian arenas that utilize OMWH songs. Couch Tomato and cindilu2, let me know if I need to change anything in the Special Edition entry. I am off to ping it with Technorati. I imagine it's already on the Google page for Clay Aiken under blogs. ETA: I just checked, and the FCA Pin blog is right under the ugly batch at the top. See Google. Have a great evening, all! Caro
  2. Good Morning! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Thnx for all the baby pix, stories, and comments! DD still has blond curls. I wish digital cameras, not to mention computers, had been around for all the memorable moments "way back then." Save travels to the eHP contingent headed to the Far East! Have a great day, all! Caro
  3. KAndre, thnx for sharing your son with us. Lots of good memories, I'm sure. I was about to think I had shut down the thread again. Nite, all! Caro
  4. Hello, FCA! This is the mother of my grandson, whose picture I've shared here several times. She weighed 6 lbs. 7 ozs. on a day that a football squad was born. The grandmother of one of the other babies asked my husband if she was premature, and he answered, "No, 'mam, she was 10 years late." True -- plus both her parents are quite short. She made up for that tardiness by coming into the world after only an hour of labor. There's a slide show in the current Carolina blog as part of an Orlando concert reprise. So sorry, Cotton. Have a great week, all! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
  5. Good Afternoon, FCA! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Just read through several pages. I need to try to be present in the "here and now." Healing thoughts and prayers for Clayzedover. My current Carolina blog is a look back at the 2007 Tampa and West Palm Beach concerts. These are reruns of last year's entries. Muskifest, I quoted your recap again about the gal in her 20s who said the WPB concert was "one of the best last minute decisions ever." Great story! I lived in the Bellevue area for 17 years -- taught orchestra at Bellevue Middle, Hillwood, and several elementaries you would recognize. Small world! I'm trying to wake up (i.e., Olympics addict) so I can go teach some lessons. Y'all have a great day! Caro
  6. Greetings, FCA! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Welcome to our board, Peyton! Sounds like some fun gatherings in Canada -- Luckiest1, goldarngirl, cindilu2, and FromClaygary! Hey, thank you -- that Fort Myers camera/clack exchange is legendary! to TimetravelerPax! Have a great weekend, all! :00000442: Caro
  7. Welcome, Peyton! Glad to have you here! Caro
  8. FromClaygary! As a former band/orchestra teacher and MENC member, I love the fact that Clay taped a back-to-school PSA on Why Music? It's not the lead of my new blog, but it does have a prominent position. There are also rewinds of the Atlanta and Ft. Myers (starring Scarlett, of course!) concerts from last summer. As always, the entries are at the OFC and at Carolina On My Mind. Love reading everyone's "Spamalot" plans. You will be providing me plenty of great blog topics! :clay: I am enjoying the Olympics, but they are wreaking havoc on my sleep schedule. Have a super weekend, all! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
  9. Thanks, play - I'd appreciate it if you let them know (and am assuming it's being used appropriately??) Your emoticons are precious, Cindiu2. I added them to the latest Carolina/OFC blog with credit but, like Play, have seen them everywhere. Many boards have added them to their emoticon collections. Love all the Spamalot, Parker, and Korean OMWH news! I'm thrilled for everyone who will be going to New York. I spin lots of blog entries with the recaps and clack you beam back to those at home. I'm singing belated birthday greeting to ChaCha -- glad you had such a special one! Have a great evening, all! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
  10. HEEEEE -- add 6 +2!!! Welcome to the world, Parker Foster Aiken! Congratulations to Clay, Jaymes, and the entire clan! I was checking the OFC's "recent posts" tab and saw Clay's blog when there were no comments. I didn't think twice before dialing my friend Sally's number to tell her the news. I also changed the Carolina On My Mind title to 8-08-08 and added a baby announcement at the top. I figure 8-08-08 covers the happy event, as well as the Olympics topic I had featured. BTW, I'm here via the Mozilla browser. I still cannot find FCA in my IE list of sites that are harmful. Does anyone know if there is a number code/address for FCA? I prefer IE, but am making do. Have a great 8-08-08, all! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
  11. ldyjocelyn and liney, I have been through that list two times. It is not there under Finding Clay Aiken or Invision. There are some listed with their number ID's. I guess I need to know this address. Thnx for your help. I'm still out in the twilight zone. Btw, I can login to the sister board. This is the address at the top: http://72.34.42.55/~fca001//index.php?opti...ge&Itemid=1 I have the safe/Internet sign on that site but restricted on this one. What a pain! Appreciate your advice. *g* Caro
  12. For me, FCA is a restricted site -- the only one of the message boards I visit. I can't figure out how to fix this. If anyone knows, I'll be glad to take lessons. This is the pits. Thnx, Caro
  13. P.S. This is really strange. I couldn't sign in on one of those repeat deals, so I thought I would see if anyone knew the answer. There I am in the tray. I'd better try deleting TIF and history. I looked in Controls but don't see anything unusual about my board settings. Thnx, Caro OK, I've got the holding up part worked out. Just hit "Click here if you don't want to wait." The first time it threw me off the board. Now it's taking me to My Controls. Whatevah, LOL! I still don't have something right for replies. Will check back in. Y'all have a great day! "c" (HEEE!!!)
  14. QUOTE: QUESTION: What do I have to change to get emoticons, bold, colors, etc. back for a REPLY? I am using the regular REPLY, not the quick version. I have typed in many of the codes. Besides not having any editing tools, I can't quote (page jumps to the top when you click on that), and I've had to sign in sevearl times. Each time the page holds up and I get the message to "wait while we transfer you" -- but nothing happens. The way I get back in is to sign on in another tab. Not fun, LOL! I'm going to delete some TI files and hope this helps. Is anyone else having this problem? Caro
  15. Hello, FCA! **blowing kiss emoticon** QUESTION: What do I have to change to get emoticons, bold, colors, etc. back for a REPLY? I am using the regular REPLY, not the quick version. I have typed in many of the codes. I had a little excitement around my corner Thursday night. Around 6 p.m., I received an email that Carolina On My Mind had been reported as a possible "spam blog" and that it had been LOCKED until Blogspot could review it within two business days. YIKES, I was planning to celebrate the California concerts and was even in the middle of writing the San Diego-Pala entry! The block continued until about 10:30 p.m. I just happened to check my Dashboard, and all was clear. I could have told them the only thing I am spamming is news about Clay Aiken, but this was a no-reply email. If I hadn't agreed to the review, Blogger would have deleted all 229 entries. UPDATE: On Friday afternoon, Blogger posted an apology to the many people who had wrongfully received the email. Sounds as if they were scurrying to unlock a lot of blogs. For anyone using Blogspot, the message is on your Dashboard. Anyway, the CA 4-fer party is in swing at the OFC and the Carolina sites -- this time San Diego and Pala, next time the Greek and Indio! -- and includes fan recaps, graphics, photos, a slide show, video link, etc. Below is a clickable of the lead graphic by AmazingCA, photos by Invisible926: With all the hoopla, I totally forgot about this being a new month; so I added Cindilu2's August calendar with/without dates this morning. The photos are by KarenEh. Cindy may have already posted them here, but they are now in the Carolina blog. Annabear, hope you had a wonderful birthday. I sent you greetings via CV Friday. Chardonnay, I just used that "fix" for my IE browser. Now I dread opening my email. Tijala! Have a great day, all! Caro
  16. Happy Birthday to your son, Luckiest1! Extended birthdays are always the best kind. Claytonic, awesome video! Thnx for sharing. Caro
  17. FCA! I woke up too early and am already in need of a siesta. I really appreciate that, Scarlett. We're talking close to a three-hour gap. Sheesh! How true -- although I taught piano lessons at home while raisng one. This is very interesting. All the best with your research paper, Chardonnay. Gorgeous -- and I love the "Striped Sock Sirens" site name! Y'all have a great day! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
  18. Hello, FCA! :F_05BL17blowkiss: I've been trying to get here all day. Been scheduling fall music lessons, i.e., working around all the activities kids are in these days. In fact, I scheduled one in the middle of writing this post. Exemplary banner, Cindilu2! Every pix is a favorite, and I love the way the colors blend with the board. Lots of visuals in this montage: Clay Aiken - Frameless by CbA (shpshftr66). This is the second day of my new blog: TBAF Celebrates Five Years, in which I also commemorated my friend Sally's birthday of 7/29. She's a member here, though she didn't supply the birthday info. Sally started the PSP Forum at CV and helped some of our graphic artists get started. Cindilu2, for one. I raided Sally's P/B and used some of her old blog graphics for the interlude. Here is one from the Jukebox Tour (Tasapio the photographer): I learned today that if you Google for "Clay Aiken" but don't want any unsavory characters to come up, put a minus sign (-) in front of the names, nouns, or adjectives. Someone arrived at my blog with three minuses earlier this afternoon. I clicked on the Google link and scrolled back through three pages. There was not one blog/post/etc. with the usuall "front and center" undesirable tags. Y'all have a super week! Been dying to use this ... Caro ETA: Wow, just checking back -- I didn't mean to kill the thread!
  19. Hello, Chardonnay! LOL, I can't believe I left you a comment and didn't realize the singer was your daughter. Awesome! Again, all the best to the new couple! Glad you enjoyed the montages, Scarlett. Looking forward to yours, Chardonnay. I noticed you left a space for one. Have a great evening, all! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
  20. Lotus, I checked the CV vault, and it's not there. I have asked if a Sendspace was made. The montage is about a week old. My next step is to ask Yollie950. EUREKA!!! I knew Rainlover would have this. Lotus, here is the link she sent me for the montage: The Most of Our Time Sendspace I am also making one to add to the blog. Enjoy! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
  21. Lotus, I checked the CV vault, and it's not there. I have asked if a Sendspace was made. The montage is about a week old. My next step is to ask Yollie950. Caro
  22. Hello, FCA! :F_05BL17blowkiss: In Place of a Summer Tour / Clean Houses+ New Montages -- With no summer tour, Clay fans are doing their best to stay busy. Houses are cleaner than ever, and new CA montages pop up daily at YouTube. Graphics are by AmazingCA, Cindilu2, and Sally. The blog is posted at the OFC and Carolina On My Mind. Clickable by ACA My niece pulled off a wonderful surprise birthday party for her husband in his Nebraska hometown of Hastings. Key was a generous boss, who sent the birthday boy on a bogus trip to make a presentation to a potential client. The Carolina contingent arrived Saturday, and fun was had by all. The story is there, too. Speaking of which, I check the birthdays at the OFC, and -- unless they are wrong and they very well could be -- there are three here today: to KAndre, Crazy for Clay, and Divayenta! ETA: That's wonderful about Gerwhisp's "Grace of God" montage. Have a super week, all! :thbighug-1: Caro
  23. Thank you so much for letting me know that the links were broken! I have just gone and fixed them all. :F_05BL17blowkiss: Please try again. http://www.goldarngirl.com/srhp-sterling_heights.html ETA: For the close up/neck/stubble lovers, we did Syracuse LAA as a bonus. Thnx so much for these; they are wonderful, and I added the "Listen" montage to my blog. The link works now, although I found the montage with a YouTube search. Do y'all have anything cooking for Meadowbrook ("The Bug Concert")? Caro
  24. Hello, FCA! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Sorry I'm late to the Sterling Heights party. The Carolina blog was up early yesterday morning, however. The lead graphic by Ambassador of Love of LynninNJ's photos is the one Gibby posted. Here it is a clickable that will expand to 1024 pixels: Since I usually blog on a three-day basis, the Meadowbrook celebration is already in place. Both segments include a slide show of photos from the concerts. Goldarngirl, I tried your YT link, which says you took this down. I'll check the CV vault. I was going to add your YT link to the "Listen" party. to Texwriter and PermaSwooned! ETA: I meant to mention there is a CA fan from Japan, Satoru, who has been posting English translations of her MySpace blog at the OFC. Her journey from the discovery of Clay on AI5 is very interesting, and she's and excellent writer. You can locate her blog entries via the RECENT BLOG POSTS tab right under MEMBERS ONLINE on the blog side. There is a SHOW ALL tab at the bottom of the recent posts list that will take you to the earlier entries. Only check her MySpace blogs if you read Japanese. Have a great day, all! Caro
  25. The thread is called HR Hangout, and it's in the Clayboard's Calling All Clayfans forum. The reason I know is that this is where AmazingCA posts her graphics. Recently, one poster has been putting together these mosaics. Hello, FCA! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Kudos to Cotton on the prompt K-Mart poster! Have a great evening, all! Caro
