  1. HEEE -- that makes sense! I love FIEKY and everything about OMWH. Hopefully, all the montages and sharing/giftng of CD's will pay off when Clay tours. Caro
  2. Couch Tomato, glad you saw it! I couldn't get the player to work, so I included a Sendspace and linked to two blogs that have one running. This is a test. A Google search from Taipei just came on the blog's "live feed." I assume this is "Carolina Clay" in Chinese: 作者Carolina Clay How kewl! Actually, the neatest part is that this person was searching for "Forget I Ever Knew You." Cindilu2! Thnx again for all the birthday greetings. Have a great day, all! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
  3. Hello, FCA! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Many thnx for the birthday greetings. to Playbiller! I hope you had a very special day. :fest09: Mine was busy -- teaching, writing a blog, etc.; so all is normal . I usually cruise through this thread late at night. Hope everyone is doing well. Saltie! Be back when I can. Have a great weekend! Caro
  4. Hello, FCA! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Heap big rehearsal in my living room today for Sunday's spring recital. Nine string/wind players, two of whom had to sit on the couch until the younger set left. Wall to wall kids for two hours -- the teacher is dragging! There's a blurb about the recital and the coming of Kai in my current blog. Mostly, the journal is about what's happening in Clay Land: Aiken Shines on Leno Show / OMWH Debuts with 94k! I think I've updated it constantly since it went up on the 14th. Thnx to all who have hit Carolina On My Mind and the other Clay blogs. The traffic has been amazing when I have been able to watch the "Live Feed" (bottom of the sidebar). The hits help keep the positive Clay blogs at the top for Google/Internet searches. Many people land at the site via Google from a variety of countries. Besides all the handsome CA graphics, here's one by Ashes to commemorate Kai's arrival next Wednesday: Clickable by Ashes I told my sophomore piano student (who is playing Mozart's Fantasy in D Minor in the recital) that I had included a blurb about Sunday in my blog, but which is still mostly about Clay. She piped up, "Oh, yes, he's got some really good songs on his new CD." And then she named 3-4 of them. This is the Evanescence fan whose birthday box of music got soaked a few months ago. I had not mentioned the CD until Wednesday, so she has listened on her own. Gibby, I really enjoyed your post about the songs. Couchie, sending you hugs. Y'all take care, and have a great weekend! I need to type a program, LOL! Caro
  5. Hello, FCA! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Many thnx to those whose CD comments I shared in my new blog. Just beore I started lessons today I received an email from my former editor (from many yeas ago) wondering why I didn't have Nightline for May 8 in my "Mark Your Calendar." (Guess she's reading the blog, LOL!) I thought that was neat, and I can't wait to see our intelligent Singer Man on that show. Thnx for the calendar, Cindilu2! I thought The View appearance was beautiful. I love the way Elizabeth gushed over the CD. ChaCha, I "borrowed" a couple of your screen caps: Carolina On My Mind. Love the CD and can't stop listening. Even paid for a cheeseburger at one window and started driving away without my lunch. I just happened to hear the second window holler, "Hey, where are you going?" I figured she wouldn't understand the "Aiken Fog." Y'all have a great evening. I'm staying away from fans who think they know best how to manage Clay's life and career. Happy Birthday, Clayzorback! Caro
  6. Hello, FCA! :F_05BL17blowkiss: I have violin students coming shortly, but first have to hop on the "Fabulous Banner" bandwagon! Awesome. Cindilu2! Great reading your posts, Kareneh! Hope all continues to go well for you. My grandson celebrated his six-month birthday on St. Patrick's Day and endured the requisite round of shots. I think he's in a much more celebratory mood today. Thnx to those who stop by the blogs. I'm still there about every three days. The new format at the OFC is a pain, but I have hopes that the journals will look the way we want them to. Guess I'm fortunate to have the Carolina On My Mind option. Have a great day, all! Caro
  7. CAB REPORT FROM SALLY This really turned into a room report because we talked again before I could post. Sally says to tell everyone hello. Clay was great! Just one moment near the end he looked tired, but he recovered. He really is one of the best of the non-dancers. He's very light on his feet. Clay soiled his pants like a pro. He's got those moves down perfectly. In the Vegas scene, he shakes his shoulders, takes the dice and rubs it all over the girl's posterior, while lecherously grinning the whole time. He's very comfortable in the part, and there's no hesitation. Clay looks like he's been doing the show for a long time, and he really seems to be enjoying himself. Sally's DS thoroughly enjoyed the show and laughed even harder tonight. One more thing: Clay's eyes twinkled, and he hit the two notes! Caro
  8. Intermission Report from Sally and Son on the Mezzanine OMG, it's incredible. Watching it from up here, I see so many things I didn't see on the front row!!! Clay obviously feels a whole lot better. His color and energy are back. He looks like a pro in every scene. Sally took her opera glasses to catch Clay's expressions and can't believe all he does with his face. He's got that hula down pat ... he wiggles, he smiles, and he knows he's beautiful. He chases those girls around and stays in the role the whole time. Meanwhile, her son is using the opera glasses to watch Hannah! She will call back after the show. Caro
  9. Hope you don't mind that I did! Yeah, he is such a professional! Kim It's kewl! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
  10. I added one word to that post that Aikim brought over -- TROUPER!!! Caro:
  11. CLAY IS IN THE THEATER!!! This is from Sally in the lobby at the Shubert. Tom Deckman is not, however. Caro:
  12. CLAY REPORT FROM SALLY The report from the box office now is that it is CONFIRMED that Clay will perform tonight! Have a great day, all! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
  13. Good Morning, FCA! :thbighug-1: A quick note to let y'all know that Sally and her son just talked with the manager of the Shubert Theatre. As of right now, Clay will perform tonight. They are in New York City for two shows, and I know several who are just there for today. Hope this holds, and I hope Clay found the magic potion! This littlle ditty is in my current blog, which of course is at the OFC and at Carolina On My Mind. I never answer the phone when I'm teaching lessons, but yesterday I had two High Point students taking makeups at my house for the first time. Sure enough, one got lost and called for more directions. The phone rang again just before I finished the last lesson, and, somehow, I just knew it was Sally in New York. She needed to know the Textism code so she could add a siggie in an OFC comment. I wish you could have seen the piano mother's face as I gave replied with the code: "Asterisk ... space ... exclamation point ... etc." These are clickables of a couple of graphics featured in the blog, the first by AmazingCA and the second the gif already posted here by Cindilu2: Clickables by ACA and Cindilu2 Absolutely beautiful banner, Cindy! Enjoying your research. I have a feeling Clay is grinning and nodding his head at his fandom's diligence. Osama -- a piece of cake for the Clay Nation! Take care, all, and have a great day! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
  14. Hello, Cotton! I first saw it on Cha Cha's SPAMALOT site and featured it two blog entries ago. Fun game, for sure! Love, love, love the AP review! I was working on my blog Friday and just happened to drop by here right after that hit the wires. Changed the whole thing around in a skinny minute. Have a great day, FCA! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
  15. Cindilu's at "Spamalot" this weekend, but I'm sure she will appreciate your comments when she returns. She even sent me a correction via the hotel Internet. Glad you liked the balloon history and Kai's kewl dudes! Caro
  16. Luckiest1! Hope your day is very special! Wanna know the story behind Annabear's pix of young Clay with the balloons? I was a member of a private board back then, and the person in charge sent Clay flowers and gifts on special occasions. The envelope he is holding contains a disposable camera for someone to take a picture and return to sender. He did, and that pix has become a fixture in Clay Cyberspace. Clickable I won't bore you with another grandson picture, but you really should see the one running in my current blog. Kai is five months old today, and Sally was very creative with his first picture ever wearing a two-piece outfit ... but that's not the funny part! The blog is at the OFC (still not the way I want it to look, but we're getting there) and at Carolina On My Mind. This is the lead graphic by Cindilu2 in wallpaper form: Double clickable by Cindilu2 Have a super new week, all! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
  17. Just happened to see your post, Cha Cha. LOL, I was planning to send you a PM tonight after teaching lessons. You are so welcome. That's a great site, and I was happy to plug it. Need to go back and play the game myself! I try to scroll through here everyday, but mostly I have been trying to figure out Textisms at the OFC. Several of us have studied/tested codes from many links, and we are about to conclude that Clique/Sparkart doesn't have everything turned on to accept them. I know quite a bit about this format that doesn't work ... YET! Give me HTML anyday! Y'all have a great rest of the week ... and a Happy Valentine's Day! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
  18. He really does sound worn out, although he keeps sending the blog through, which makes one think he may be making corrections. I think he should leave "EHAUSTED," however. That says it all! Have a great weekend, all! Let's start early! Caro
  19. Ditto, Cindilu2 -- the Broadway banner is fantastic! Thank you for sharing your creativity and talent! Caro
  20. Gibby, I see you are at rehearsals now that I am through teaching. I'm sure Sally resized the photo before the edit. Her edit inspired a long-need avatar change though! Caro
  21. Just got back from the dentist and will start teaching in a few minutes, but I have to show you how Sally edited that wonderful picture by Katy4Clay. You can see the BEFORE/AFTER and read how she did it in the Photo Editing thread of the Paint Shop Pro Forum at Clayversity. Photo by Katy4Clay, edited by Sally See y'all after lessons! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Caro
  22. Good Morning, FCA! :F_05BL17blowkiss: What a day to miss the goings-on! From the music store to the studio, I was tied up throughout the entire golf-cert. Wiped out, too -- teaching seven lessons for the first time in two weeks did me in. Sorry I missed the "live" event, but I have read through several reports, including the latest blog. I believe Ms. Streeter has been Clayverted. Love the large pix, too! I decided not to buy a Spamalot playbill because it didn't seem as though Clay was going to get much attention in it, until I saw CarolinaClay's blog where she described headshots, bios...Now I've got one ordered. Likewise the FCA pins...I've ordered a couple. I also hadn't realized that some monies go to BAF. Very cool! Thank you for the kind remarks, Couch and Maddy. The blog featuring FCA's pins is still receiving comments about people placing orders, so I hope you are seeing more results. I added a very general sentence that a donation from the proceeds will be made to TBAF, and I will insert that you can ship to all countries. Monday Sally added a Photo Editing Thread in Clayversity's Paint Shop Pro Forum (located in the Department of Fine Arts). Of course, with a new grandchild, this is a topic that really interests me. Drop by if you also want to learn more -- or share what you know -- about the process. Sally has many years' experience in the field and is very good at explaining with diagrams, examples, etc. She started with one of Toni7babe's photos. Passing on the algebra, LOL! It still looks like Greek to me, Scarlett and Kareneh. Have a great day, FCA! With high temps of 70, we are having "spring" in Carolina this week. Caro
  23. You are so welcome! I was just checking the math, and there have been 110 hits since late last night -- I had to stop and cheer for the Tar Heels! WOOHOO!!! Guess those hits ran right over here and ordered pins. This morning I was double-checking my links. When I got the FCA link, we were in the old thread. On the "check," I looked down and saw several guests in there with me. I have now changed this link for the new thread and will add a sentence about TBAF. The blog is also at Carolina On My Mind and includes Cindilu2's gorgeous "Spamalot" animation, as well as a couple of beautiful graphics using Kareneh's photos. Last time a geography professor checked the red dots on the map at the "Carolina" site, there were 20 countries represented. Do you ship everywhere? Sending prayers and good vibes for the ChaCha family! Y'all have a great day. It's back to the salt mines for me, but first I have to hit the music store for some piano books for a new student. Later ... Caro
