Received a lovely e-mail from my contact at KCIS today and thought you would all like to know what she had to say.... KCIS Also book plates were created by a member of their staff to go into the donated books. I am hoping they will send me a link to the book plate design, so I can bring a picture here. Again, thanks to all who donated, particiapted and helped. It was a simple thing, that will benefit many! Rohdy And here it is, the book plate that was placed in each book.... While it looks as though there is a smudge in and around the words 'honor of' it is in fact a random, faint, star burst pattern that is scattered across the page the book plates were printed on.

That's the secret?! So, I survived Book week. It was the most amazing amount of fun imaginable...and exhausting. Best of all was meeting so many people that I have read or heard about for the past few years, many of them right here! If I had to take a test and match faces to names...I would fail miserably, but I would have fun trying. My official wrap up is over at the OFC, here.... Wrap Up However I wanted to bring this paragraph here... ....because I really did appreciate your help. My close friends were a bit put off, but I told them, they would tell me what they think I want to hear...I might as well ask the mirror. I knew from the way I had seen free thinking and opposing opinions tossed about here, I was more liable to get an honest feel for things. Thanks again. Thank you eveyone! The article did come off much better then I had anticipated. Like everyone, I could have done without the middle aged comment....espeically after I stressed that the place I post at the most consists of 6 women my age (yeah, yeah..we're in the middle) and 6 young ladies 18-26. And that the entire board was extremely well mixed.....but she did so well with everything else...that I will forgive the 46 year old punk. As a quick kind of update, my idea of collecting maybe 50-400 books from fans in attendance has brought in roughly 231 books by mail and $350 in gift cards. I am so excited to get the books stacked and take a few pictures Friday night! Then I get to listen to Clay sing me Christmas songs....*sigh* All is well............. Thanks again to everyone here for all of your support, letting me bounce ideas off of you all when I needed impartial feedback and for supporting this Birthday Books for Clay idea. :F_05BL17blowkiss: Rohdy PS: I wish I knew who said: Though I have read it somewhere before.

Thanks all for the input...so quickly! Playbiller....'they' are the recipients of the donated books who are extremely excited about the project. I will follow my instincts and kindly ask that they not bring in a flat bed....or anything to disrupt the flow the concert. I am one who dislikes shouts outs, kazoo's, funny hats and most glow sticks.......so I wanted to be sure I wasn't being all judgemental and nixing an idea just because I don't like that kind of thing.
