Love this. Great audio on that youtube! Hope that shuts up the people who were so negative about his voice at the Gala. Yeah, right....they'll probably bitch about him singing UM again. It's always something. Hope we get some more visual, and I'd love it if we got more clack of the banter, etc. So cool to have been in the audience, I bet! I wish he'd given us a heads up, but totally understand why he didn't. LOL...already some worrying that this song will be on the next CD along with Moon River...I swear, I think some fans are not happy unless they are complaining about something. Kim

Certain states in the US don't allow gay adoption. I think NC may be one and I know for sure Florida is one. I watched a documentary about a gay couple in Portland OR who adopted a few kids in FL with special needs. My son's child (not really his) by girlfriend (he helped raise her and still is although now she is 20) was friends with one of them. In total they had about 8 kids. They had to leave FL because the state wanted to take the children away from them, although there might not be anyone else willing to adopt. All part of the mess in this country as a result of not considering everyone equal. I believe in the Q & A thread someone asked Clay if he could adopt in NC and he said yes he could but he had no plans to. Kim

Why would Clay have to avoid the 2009 Idols? He is not in competition with them. I think he has pretty much divested himself of all things Idol and I don't think he spends much time worrying about what the other Idols are doing. He told us after Spamalot that he was taking some time off and I honestly don't see any reason for him to be back in the public eye before 2010 when the CD promotion gears up...actually think that the was the plan all along. We know he is working on his CD...other than that...he is probably just enjoying being with Parker and the family is still mourning his grandfather's death...I am sure he is probably spending time with his Granny too. He will be back when the time is right...only about 6-7 weeks until the new year...and I know it will be so worth it! Kim

Had to call the Tech Services Dept. for the company we order books from due to a problem on the website and what do I hear when the phone is answered...."Hello, this is Clayton, can I help you" in a southern drawl...almost dropped the phone! The Aiken Fog took over and I actually was struck dumb for a couple of seconds, almost couldn't remember my name or why I was calling...finally got it together to explain the problem (it's on our end, unfortunately)...he was very sweet and helpful...made my day! Of course...if this is how I react to a random mention of the name Clayton...Lord knows what would happen if I actually won a meet and greet and met the man...probably just stand there with my mouth hanging open and stare at him!
