My first "road trip" and hopefully the first of many to come. It's also the weekend I met the luscious and lovely gareem and lovethatguy and had so much fun that we're hooking up to do Chicago this Christmas together! I love this fandom. I posted this link over at CV and thought you guys might enjoy it too as I had a big shit-assed grin on my face through the whole thing. It's a video montage of a young girl and her friends seeing Clay "live" for the very first time. Needless to say, they're a might fangirly. (Can't imagine acting that way myself and don't believe whatever you might hear about me and Clay's bus when I first spotted it in San Diego - I was very mature the whole weekend!!)

I do believe I've again changed my mind on my all-time favourite pic of my Man!! From zippy at CB GAH!!! That smile does me in!

Hi guys!! Found my way back here - on the first try!! woohoo!! Just in time to see those awesome photos you "played with" Claygasm They are yummy!!! I think Clay is an awesome role model and, as others have said, he doesn't need to be a saint to be one. He's showing that you can be a success without turning to drugs and crazy livin' and you can "give back" but at the same time have fun, be a little naughty - live life to the fullest without destroying your life. I do believe following him has made me a better person though I like to think I was okay to begin with - but he's made me more aware of disability issues, Unicef and just taking part more in caring about my fellow man. He's failed miserably on the more mundane issues though - I still drink, smoke, cuss and stay away from Church! Guess I might as well stop picking out the china!!! He makes me smile - always - and for me, that is the most wonderful gift he can give me!

Somehow I logged onto the last thread and was surprised that I was the only one logged on - thought it was because I'm a West Coaster and y'all were out already, busy with your day! I was merrily going along - quoting people - amazed that so many didn't know "stuff" - how outta the loop you all were!!! Apparently it was I, myself and me!!! Hee!! GO MOUNTAINEERS!!! - picture this blue - I can't get the "colors" to work! You all must know that xxx's Mountaineers are just about tied with Clay in her heart!! :F_05BL17blowkiss: So, I think I've ketchup'd now and I agree with those who think Clay was a little overwhelmed in that first year post-idol. I just can't imagine how all that attention and adulation coupled with the horrid caricatures made of him affected his confidence. His whole world was thrown upside down and I'm sure he experienced a bit of "Be careful what you wish for". I'm thrilled to believe that he has come to terms with his fame, his fans and the pitfalls of fame. I think he truly loves what he does now and is so mature in recognizing that it ain't easy doing what you want to do and he accepts the business side of the "business". I'm probably not expressing what I'm feeling very well. it's early! *g* From comments he made in the M&G's, I think he is so mature in his attitude towards the label and what he wants to accomplish with his future. I think it is sooooooooooooo fortunate that he attained this incredible fame after he matured to a point where he could handle it. When I watch the "beastly beauties" on the news each night, I feel sad for them in that they attained their fame while still children and few of them had sane, supportive families - which I think has led to their going "off the rails".. Clay, OTOH, has now surrounded himself with people of substance whom he trusts and I think he's like a sponge, soaking up as much knowledge of the business as possible. I think this bodes well for his future and I think it's going to be an amazing future. I'm sure rambling this morning - apologies!! What I'm really taken with are the PANTS!!!!!! *G* ETA:

Good Morning all!!! I just love the pics from the last couple of day! Yummy!! Loved, loved,loved Clyra hair, Unicef lighting hair, SPHR hair, really anything but too short or too long - he is one sexy dude! (even though the Unicef hair was long - it was so gorgeously styled, I thought he looked drop dead gorgeous - just like the AMA hair! Gah!) What am I saying??? I'd do him with any old hairstyle!!! I do believe it's going to be a very good year here in Clayland!!

Did I mention that I'm going to the Chicago three-fer??? Well, I am!

Hee! It was outside an apartment in Santa Monica where Clay was reported to have run out of an apartment building "shoeless" to move his car - I think he had just received a parking ticket. Rumors ran rampant, good natured too, as to who's apartment it was. The car had supposedly been parked there all night as evidenced by the lack of shoes or whatnot! Hee! Anyway, the most common rumour was that Jaymes has an apartment in that area though, search as I might, I've never seen proof of that! It's become an ongoing giggle in the fandom! eta: That AMA appearance is one of all time favourite TV moments for Clay!!! EEEEEEhaaa!!!! He was awesome and I loved how the crowd cheered!!! It was fabulous! And he looked "hawter than hell"!!!!

You're so right Couchie Words are not needed! I met Permaswooned a few times in California and she is soooooooo nice! Loved her! And don't worry about talking ltg and gareem's ears off - they didn't have ears left after spending time with me! I just can't wait to see this show!!! Now I can' watch without any worries which is the way I like it! Spoil me!! I love being spoiled! I've never seen him when his hair has bothered me - I've got two boys - their's never bothered me either - mine, OTOH - drives me bonkers! eta; Wasn't it Jimmy Kimmell who once said that Clay and Ruben standing together, looked like the number ten??? I know I've heard it before because I've repeated it - it's too funny and it's so true!

Couchie EEEEEEEE!!! I came back in time for your recap!!! I just got through PMing with lovethatguy and she told me how much fun all of you had!!! Aren't they the greatest??? They are my travelling roomies for the Chicago three-fer in November!! It sounds like it was so much fun - Gad! I wish I'd been there - first I want to move to NY for all the concerts and then I want to move to LA for all the TV stuff! I'm a green-jealous Canuck tucked away in the frozen north! Crap!
