It is all over the net that Clay is being dropped by RCA. They say that Clay is no longer listed and that if you do a search for him, you get directed to his fanclub site. I seem to recall getting an email or reading somewhere that the RCA site was "under construction" and that was why they were directing everyone to Clay's fanclub site. Anyone know anything?

I've been reading around today too, and I've seen this mentioned several times. Here's my opinion on that:

I don't care.

Honestly, I think Clay's gonna have a career. A good career. (Heck, IMO, he's had a pretty good one already...) And I have every confidence in Clay that he'll do what feels best for him in regards to his career. If it takes him more "behind the scenes," so be it. If it keeps him on Broadway, so be it. I've always been one that has felt that he's much more of an entertainer than simply a really great singer, so if the recording thing somewhat goes away, I truly think he'll find another outlet for his creativity -- and his humor.

Or not.

He'll do what he wants.

If that doesn't involve "touring," yes, I'll be incredibly sad. But I'll deal. And I certainly hope he doesn't listen to ME for ideas on his career.

I love that mess of a man.

My dad thinks he'd have a great career doing a show in Vegas since he's such a good all-around entertainer.

As for being dropped by RCA... Eh. It certainly doesn't make me happy, considering that's generally viewed as you're not marketable anymore... I want him to be able to keep touring and keep putting out CD's. Especially since I haven't had the chance to see him in concert.

clayzy, I'll have to go through my photobucket account, because I know I have it there. There's a picture of Clay, promo picture for the JNT 2004, where it looks almost as if Clay has a Fauxhawk. Wow. I can't really see anything about that hair that's that different from his regular hair of that time period. I like it.

Scraggly hair... not so much. He definitely does look different. I think my favorite Clay hairstyles have been his Tyra hair and his AI-ish hair, but hey! If it's Clay, I like it!

Just a totally random aside, does Clay still sell concert t-shirts when he tours? My mom thinks it's too "obsessive" (have you been paying any attention at all the last few months, mom? we passed obsessive a little while back...) to have a shirt with someone's face on it and so doesn't want me to go to Cafepress.com or make an iron-on pattern with Clay's face on it and would only let me get a shirt with his face on it if it was a concert tee to a concert I've actually been too.

My computer hates me! I was downloading a bunch of Clay stuff last night and I just left the connection open and went to bed since it said it was going to take 5 hours... I wake up and it still says it's going to take 5 hours!!! ARGH! I hate Windows! The stupid downloads freeze for no freaking reason--oh, it says they're still active, but they aren't!

Well, I have a Mac, so if you have a PC it might look a little different, but under "Library" I have a listing that says "Music," and under that is "movies" and that's where the movies are.

Not to randomly change the subject or anything (mostly because everything I think has already been said, so no need to be repetitive ) but does anyone know anything about a good audio-from-video ripping software program? I'm computer illiterate, but I'd like to take some of my video-only Clack and be able to listen to it in my car, so I need a (hopefully) easy to use program... Anyone know?

Yeah, I'm having some 'struggles' with some of these lyrics, too. Maybe I'm slow, but....

Today my hubby and I are going to see "The Reader". We both are in love with Kate Winslett. My younger daughter is going to a friend's Valentine party tonight. The instructions were to dress "Funky Formal"...heh...So she's wearing her sister's last year's prom dress---a really pretty sleeveless red above-the-knee flowing dress with accordion pleats. She looks disturbingly beautiful in it.

I said, "So where's the 'funky' part, Carrie?" Her answer? "Oh, you're going to take me shopping 'cuz I need some high-top Converse shoes."

So she's wearing this gorgeous dress...and some cool high-top Converses, white with all kinds of black swirly writing on them, that have blue and white ribbon laces!

I hope Clay's jaw pain isn't going to prevent him from doing some Valentine Day kissing and whatnot...

and maybe Reed someone can kiss it and make it all better...

Well continue to bat ideas around and we can come up with something. There's always Cafe Press as we did the DCAT Tshirts or they have other things you can put it on. Pins I really like to do to mark something Clay is doing. Even if we do something for Cafe Press and the love remains down the road we can always look into a pin later as a compliment to whatever other pin we do. Maybe I can also do a few items with the saying for the auction. I'll talk to Cindilu..or anyone - you are always free to come up with ideas as well. Oooh maybe a cup?

I want a t-shirt that says "Clay Aiken is my homeboy" That would crack me up! But I also want a "He is... therefore I fan" shirt too! I have these ideas, but have no idea how to put them into being... horrible with graphics, I am!
