  1. Since Clay recently mentioned Spring Lake again recently, I thought I'd post this from an email I received today reminding me that early voting in NC starts tomorrow: Chris Rey is the Mayor of Spring Lake, and is now running for the US Senate. I did not know that. Good for him!! http://chrisrey.com/...for-u-s-senate/ He has made a video to launch his campaign like someone else we know, and I don't doubt he will have Clay's support. I met him several times at campaign events, and sat next to his wife and that cute baby once while he was the moderator for a panel of candidates including Clay. It was sponsored by Wake County/Raleigh/Cary political insiders, and I could see why they wanted to give him that exposure. I was so impressed! Looking at his credentials, I'm also impressed that he went back to Spring Lake to live. It sure wasn't to get rich! You have to know he cares about people and making people's lives better.
  2. ldyjocelyn, that sounds really interesting. John Lewis is a hero of mine and it was so cool to see a photo of him with Clay!
  3. Looks like he could be a judge at this high school debate event. I hope so--I bet he would love that!
  4. Hey, shortyjill is here--we were just talking about you not long ago, wondering how you are.
  5. Woot! Great choice! Ooops - guess I'm the first. So Clay just closed the periscope and he didn't appear on it, but you could hear him laughing. The announcement is that the new Executive Director of the NIP will be........... Nick Leisey!!
  6. I am too. I don't suppose he'll surprise us just for fun....... <------- OK, me too
  7. Ninna, I have reversed your sex change pronto before you have to buy a new wardrobe. I think the dots under members are connected to the number of posts people have made. I have a whole family full of weird relatives, including me. They may say I'm the weirdest, but don't believe them!
  8. We had football here too. I've seen the first segment from a download. The psychic part is pretty jokey and his narration for the whole piece was good, I thought. I'll go see if I can find any new parts, or maybe tomorrow.... but I wanted to be the first to say to ldyjocelyn, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for all you do to keep this board going. It was fun to eeee and squeeee at every new picture, and then throw in Hardball and Funny or Die for icing. I love the line about the Claymates on the platform and Dana Bash's tweet. Oh, and yeah, him looking extremely hot and redheaded.
  9. Woot, I got to see it. I missed the beginning. Looked like he wanted to put a hand over someone's mouth. Heh. OK, how sick it is that I spotted him in seconds in that last picture merrieeee posted - the panorama, @katiezez: Post-debate spin room pano http://t.co/kVxWDxCy5m
  10. Watched the periscope. Guess Clay isn't going to be on Hardball, given that two places at once thing.
  11. I think he's eating it up. Politics is about both sides, and he's never seemed afraid of being around people he doesn't agree with. Seems as if he has swiftly disposed of the people who weren't taking him seriously. He does look miserable in just a few of those photos--is that the astrologer?
  12. I saw there were two more pages since I read earlier today and thought, what? Something big must've been going on. I don't think ET meant for Clay to become the news; he was supposed to be covering it. Or maybe they did. He has producers I'm sure. Interesting array of expressions throughout the day--now I'll have to see if I can dig up Hardball.
  13. Shortyjill, in case you stop by, a belated happy birthday! I hope life is treating you well. Random bit of info I discovered today: google docs or drive or whatever it is these days - it doesn't empty the trash unless you ask it to. I was looking to see how much space I had in my Google Drive storage and It said I was using 6 GB. I thought nah, can't be. Eventually I thought to check the trash and when I emptied it, 4 GBs were gone! ninna - thanks for all the decorations!!
  14. Merrieeeeeeeeeee!! Happy happy birthday and thank you for the many reports on Clay's doings. And some lovely cake
  15. I wondered how long it would take for you to notice you'd become a car washer, ninna. Hee! I decided we needed to get current around here. Glad you'll be on to the next one soon though.
  16. Wow--busy bees over here. I'm thrilled for all the people who were there - and ldyj made us a new banner! I could really get used to this weekly performance by periscope from Clay and Ben.
  17. Hello hello. Thanks for the birthday wishes. I had my birthday dinner tonight. My brother and his wife took me out and it was delicious. Tomorrow, I get my present: new teeth. Merrieeee, I'm glad the trip is going well. A big adventure for you. Ninna721, it is quiet around here. Good to see you, and come again sooner! Fear - I remember when you weren't allowed to see your granddaughter, so this is a huge change for you! to ldyj I posted yay me!! And hello to couchie and all the others out there who are thinking of things other than Clay. I'm one of those folks who is actually glad when Clay takes a break, although if there is a book, it'll be like, what break? I still check here every day and ldyj (muah) keeps me up to date with "breaking news." Does one have to buy a $1000 or up ticket to the Gala to get the CD?
  18. Woo hoo - happy birthday couchtomato!! Your team gave you the best present ever!! But here's a little cake anyway...
