  1. Just came back from my park festival. I got to do my African dance/storytell about the wetlands and its denizens. Tons of little ones participated and they did ALL the movement with me- I think I've found a new outlet for me- I get kids to dance! They loved the drums, and all the animal movements. I'm so happy about it. Wish y'all could've been there. I have not been catching up on all the reading here, but only getting a sense that muski, you're having some kind of crisis about concerts and your kids? Whatever it is, you are a great mom, trust yourself to do the right thing by them and for yourself.
  2. Does anyone have words of wisdom on the ghastly lawn seating of Cary? I'm not expecting much tomorrow. I might have access to a table ticket but Fully Functional said that you might as well skip the show if you get those. Someone else said they're under cover and next to food, water and bathrrooms. I hatess the heat! And having to sit hours in it. So do any of you have any wisdom to share? I know it's my decision ultimately- just obsessing here. And congratulations to all who got tickets today- YAY!
  3. ldy J opined: Well, after too much muski reading I came up with : "Pasty White Boy? or Tasty Night Toy?" Okay, Okay, back to the "wonky Honky"! :TourExcite:
  4. KarenEh said: BWAH BWAH BWAH. You are a cunning linguist , my friend! Claygasm, how will I find you and hug you in Philly? We need to develop a FCA "high" sign or handshake or something. Or a pin? Everyone else has got one! How about a pin that says "FCA-It's All Good!" And now some serious, thought provoking verse: Teefy, toofy Smiley, goofy Winky, "wonky" My favorite "honky"!! Yep, that's Clay.
  5. I love you guys- I needed that hug today. So who's gonna be at Philly, Knoxville, Cary(^&*((&!!!!) or Asheville? Cause I need to squish each and every one of you! Clay's teefs are all adjusted to his face now. Those first ones must've been temps or something. He looks gorgeous.
  6. God, he's so beautiful. I've been remiss for a few days. Got a show coming up at the annual park celebration.. I've been working on an interactive piece about wetlands and all the critters for kids to get into with me. African drums and African dance/based movement is so perfect for this stuff. Wish y'all could come and dance with me. Cary sucked. I'll wait for tomorrow. But I will be there! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Boy, he better do ATDW, I'm dying to hear those songs live with full orchestra. The only song I don't like is IWKWLI- the original is much better. But other than ickiliwikili, the arrangements and his singing are sophisticated and subtle. :TourExcite: Huggin' y'all- can I get one back please? :Tour3:
  7. I think Clay is such a sly dog that whoever he's seeing , he's hiding in plain sight. So Mary, Christy or Jamie. My gut tells me Jamie. I'm a hopeless shipper. She's gorgeous. They're cousins by marriage.
  8. Right, Totally, and I also think that bad comedians always go for the easy , lazy joke. No imagination. Barry Manilow used to get it all the time- as he laughed all the way to the bank- as did Liberace- the inventor of that phrase! Keep laughing, Clay! You are a winner! I do hate the idea of culturally accepted slams though of anyone. :TourExcite: Off to bird and later on watch my belly dancer friends perform. I'm thinking about taking it up. Wish we could all do it together! Definitely going with an African dance class this summer- my favorite.
  9. Diva, RIP. The sexiest man alive. That gif. Do y'all think that's him at parade rest (OMG if it is) or slight arousal? Martha- he looked like a sensual cat.
  10. Wow, this sounds like one wild party. Admins sleeping around, checkerboard chicks (tmHairspray), etc. And I thought my 4 concerts was over the top. Someday.... Hope I'll see you guys in NC, Philly or Tennessee! I want to sleep around too! Wait- I already am! Hugs all around. Hubby and I are going on a special shopping excursion today. I'm going to buy my first drums!!! A Native American flat drum and a djembe! (Arabic style, fantastic sound). I 'll be using these for my future perfs and workshops with kids. :TourExcite: :Tour3:
  11. While y'all are throwing out thread titles, may I suggest my line at the CH the other day? I was referring to all his gifts, different looks, always surprising us, so I said:" So many boyfriends, so little time". I mean, I want to bed the Afghani prince, but I might have to risk going off with "jailbait boy" from the Today show clack, too. What's a girl to do? Ackk! On cousins: Kandre, you crack my crack up. I almost had a fling with a third cuddin. And how about Franklin and Eleanor? First fuckin' cousins! Oh, Muski, I think Clay and Jamie are a hot fantasy (write story !) THey look outstanding together, long and lean and all. You mentioned the rack, let's not forget about Karen Eh's "lap straddling" remark to get a better angle to cut the bangs and all. Lots can come out of that, too. Hoo boy. You know, "as she eased herself into position" ....Go, muski!!! Can't wait to see all you concert ho's (woops Russell Simmons sez that's now a no-no word) on the Clay circuit!
  12. Yes Karen Eh and muski, my feverish little mind has often wondered just how close Clay and cuddin Jamie are? I still think he's got a thing going with Jaymes, but I just got a vibe when I saw how he interacted with the highly attractive Jamie. Course, he's so touchy-feelie with womenfolk anyhow. How about a little vignette, Musk- "The Haircut"? Got Knoxville tix today. Guess I"m still going to Cary and Definitely ASheville. Thinking of flying down to Raleigh the day before the show , riding with my buds to the other shows and flying out of Knoxville back home. What does one do in Cary all day without a car? And how does one get to the airport from Raleigh to Cary as it is about half an hour away? Any helpful suggestions are welcome. Squishes to all. :TourExcite: Oh, birding season has begun for the bejewelled migrants. Saw many species of warblers , vireos and kinglets today! Beauty!
  13. Kell has such a distinctive voice, too. None like her. Got a Janis Joplin vibe watching her tonight- not vocally, but the soulfulness.
  14. One more slap on the old mare's ass- at the end of the day, I'm thankful for ANY kind of consciousness raising. I agree with sis Kandre that the altruistic one upsmanship is looking like good fan/bad fan to me , too. I also have to throw in one of my pet causes: Bringing down the world birth rate for earth sustainability. We just can't help anybody if populations are booming out of control. Don't get me wrong, help the ones who are already here, by all means. But empower the girls, the women with education. Eve Ensler of "Vagina Monologues" fame makes that her primary cause. I just got her letter from Haiti where 1 out of 3 women are raped due to patriarchal attitudes and hellish civil unrest. When women have power, the birth rate goes down, ALWAYS, there is less disease, more food, more peace. Just google "V-Day" and read about her organization. She has already built a school in Afghanistan. Her play is shown the world over. I'll quit now for fear of getting jumped on. Clay content: :TourExcite: I love being surprised by this man. Can't wait to see what he brings us this summer. And muski, girl, I"ve never seen that "Mr. Happy" shot before. Angela sure does it for him, doesn't she? (see couchie's avi!) She looks like you , Couch. NO wonder you like that shot!
  15. Woohoo! Sisters doin' it for themselves! Now, really off to bed with visions of an Afghani prince sweetly saying to me, "All done, darlin'? All finished!" googoogaga
  16. Well, that was interesting. No Clay mention didn't even faze me. He is so far and away on his own track, God bless him. I was glad to see Simon actually moved by such a horrific situation. I mean you'd have to be stone NOT to be. I'm workin' on it Kandre. Kandre's Kibbles and Bits was not workin' for me. How about "Kandre Kandor - Opinions for the Minions"....... eta: Or since she's in Texas- Kandre's Kantina? eta2: oh, Musk, didn't mean to leave you out. I was focussing on Apolo's gorgeous ass. Hold on....... Your blog should be like a fine wine, so how about "The Muskitell"? Off to bed, to sleep off all the nonsense I've just said. Cary! Asheville! Knoxville! Who's joining me? Luckiest, yes! :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  17. I"m kinda looking forward to tonight with the hope that Clay's mentioned, but if not.....yes I expect he won't be and it does rankle , but i'm not losing sleep. Clay's star is rising without their help. So who else is going to Cary, Asheville and Knoxville besides me? Will I get to meet any one? My doctor said she interned for three years in Asheville and said it was one of the most beautiful places she has ever lived in.
  18. Girls, Obi Wan was just on The View announcing his April 30 concert at the place I dreamed Clay would sing at last year- Carnegie Hall! Obi sez that he'll have guest singers singing a lot of his songs! EEEEEEEEE! Dare I dream? It's being refuted at the CH and it doesn't appear on the Carnegie Hall calendar, but I swear I heard the man say it. Oh well. It was just a dream, then. But hugs to all anyway! eta: Okay, now it says there WILL be a Neil Sedaka tribute on the 30th at Carnegie Hall ,just like the man said with guest artists in a press release. No mention of Clay, though. I'm still gonna believe in my dream of last year. Sorry, I don't know how to do the quote thing here.
  19. Well, you see where Clay gets that gorgeous punim (Yiddish for face) from. Apparently despite his flaws , even Clay admitted in his book that the old man was a chick magnet, so between those two parents Clay got a lot of "hotness" genes. Go, Faye! Boy she sure is in shape! Couch, you were discussing Clay's possible hair loss as he ages. Biologically, the baldness gene is inherited from the mother's family, so we'd have to look there. Does Faye have a brother? What does he look like? Grandpa Aiken sure doesn't seem to have much as I recall.
  20. Clay does look a tad chubby, but hey, and I know muski will agree with me on this one- Clay and "chubby" are not exactly a bad thing! :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  21. Wouldn't Clay have been quite the dashing figure in the old silent movies ? He carries himself with such grace . Hugs to all going through difficulties- Saturn has gone direct (out of retrograde) and things should lighten up for all of us- it was a tough period of introspection and rethinking all of our plans. Back to practicing for my open mike night tomorrow at the park. It's all ages, all abilities and is always magical. Wish you guys could be there at Cafe Cattail. Oh, ldyjocelyn, you will be a magnificent boss. Those people are lucky!
  22. Just came back from the grocery where everyone is sad and talking about the horror. In the background over the PA system was "lift me up, in your eyes..."
  23. Beautiful and touching blog, Missy Couch, thankyou for saying so eloquently what I'm thinking. Saw Taylor HIcks last night and I have to say , run don't walk to his show if he comes to your area. It's a huge soul show with Mr. "Churnin' Urn of Burnin' Funk" (tmJT). Wow! What a musical talent. I was very impressed. His Soul Patrollers were out in full force. My only critique is that he doesn't touch you like Clay- he looks down a lot and relates more to the band. Obviously, his fans didn't care. But that said, AI really tied him down- he is a solid pro and musical as hell. Met some folks who said they were fans of Clay but never knew he toured. They don't do the boards. Makes me wonder if only message boarders know about Clay's shows? All on Black Monday. I am still grieving for those kids and families. So many questions. I wish gun control really existed here as it does in so many other countries. And what drives one soul to do such damage? I have to agree that Clay , who has suffered so much, is such a bright light. I agree with you couch, he is an inspiration, indeed. :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  24. Gah, he is just the cutest, most handsomest, most winsome creature. And it was reported at CH that in an interview with Neil Sedaka, he played Clay singing "Solitaire". So multi-dimensional and hot. Much needed today on this day of sadness and strange storms. eta: in the top picture he looks like Sean Connery. It's the brows, beard and the expression.
  25. My prayers to all who have been touched by the horrific mass slaying at VA Tech this morning. I don't understand what kind of insanity drives someone to such an act. Psychosis plus bad drug reactions? We will find out soon enough. Many of CipherBF's ( at CH) ,high school students have gone on to go there, so hold her in your heart , too . eta: Guns are too damn easy to get in this country. :angry22:
