  1. *sigh* I love the fuckme pic. *g* So that means I should love this appearance. My cable went out for 30 seconds, I just had a heart attack. But it's back now. I've got the stream up though. Just in case.
  2. Just read two things on the CH: 1) Clay will be performing with a band tonight. 2) TUNE IN EARLY -- at 5:10 p.m. EST. "Special surprise." Probably a cutaway, advertising his show in the next hour.
  3. Just heard from couchie. She's attending both days of the Broadway Cares Easter Bonnet competition shows. According to the program, Hannah will be part of today's show. AND -- according to the program -- CLAY will be part of the show tomorrow! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! And couchie will be there! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
  4. I think I'm getting to the point where I feel sorry for whomever Clay's hairdresser is at that particular point in time. It sure seems to me that this person (whomever it is) gets grief constantly! For me, I'm looking forward to seeing what he'll look like. It may not be what I want, but I can take it. Besides, he's going to sing! EEEEEEEEEEEEE! Oh God, how embarrasing for Clay.................Why do some of his fans (nice or not) have to be so OTT? Sadly, because there are just a LOT of OTT people in RL. There's ALWAYS someone in fandoms that are OTT. As a Star Trek fan, I distinctly remember the person who was selected for a jury trial somewhere....and she wore a Starfleet uniform every.single.day. This kind of thing happens all the time, unfortunately. And while I think that Clay may be totally embarrassed by this person...he usually turns this thing on its ear and makes it into a funny, funny joke. He seems to handle it pretty well. As far as touring goes....I think he will, sometime, by the end of the year. I do think it will depend on the legs of the album though. I can see it happening in the fall -- bad time for me really, but I'll make it happen. And I do think he'll do Christmas tours until the cows come home -- he seems to need to do them, I think they recharge his batteries. Also, I think at this point, he's built a good reputation as a good Christmas draw with many of the theaters.
  5. Hey! Did you know Clay was going to be on QVC this evening? He just texted me about it! I thought that was rather sweet of him to let me know.
  6. Well, no one suggested it. But I take it you'd like that added? *g* I'll do that now. I thought you really liked the butt grab one, though. Hee
  7. What I've gathered so far, for the thread to be created the week of April 28: The Very Handsome Sir Clay of Aiken "If I hear the term 'radio-friendly' one more time, I'm going to scream" I'm ridiculously in love with the man & that's all there is to it. "That will be an extra $50 for the butt squeeze!" A snippet of Clay beats the hell out of the whole damn thing of anyone else! Slovenia...who would a thunk it? I love Slovenia. And if you strip away the friendly sweaters and smooth hair and charming smile, there's a feral creature underneath waiting to BITE you. We've climbed on Mr. Aiken's Wild Ride!!!! Only this time it's an A Ticket!!!! "You're doing GREAT!" Clay Aiken is my high. Clay Aiken is more punk then any of these groups. "I still don't understand why people like my ass, I'm sorry!"

  9. EEEEEEEEEEEee for KAndre! For those who can't listen to the link Iseeme posted above, here's the article that accompanies it:
  10. Claytonic -- Ever since then, he's pretty much added a shirt tug to every performance of the song. By the JBT, IMO, he was doing it more just to tease the fans! Iseeme, playbiller is right -- I think she's just enthusiastic. And, from my experience, the SD always gets "pushy." It amazed me when he came out how the crush suddenly became more intense, and I had to literally stand my ground to stay in my position. I probably inadvertently used my elbows a few times too (if anyone who is reading this was there that night and I elbowed you, my apologies).
  11. Iseeme, while I had not heard about the sleeping business, I've met the same woman, and many of us here know her as well. She posts at the CH with regularity, and I don't think she's had over 40 shows. I know she's had quite a few (and yes, many in seat A101 -- where she was chastised soundly on many boards, not here), but not THAT many. I met her during my trip to NYC a month ago, and thought she was OK. I can't speak to her feelings on if Clay is the second coming, though. *g*
  12. I'm home today, with a bit of stomach bug. Maybe it's just nerves over Clay's QVC appearance? *g* Yes, I was a reflex orderer this morning. I understand what you are saying luckiest, but I just can't help it. And, as far as that goes -- if I understand correctly, they WILL reorder if there is a waitlist created during the show. They'll just be shipped later in the month....which will add to later in the month sales reports....which will help give the album legs. That's cool for me. I've seen a few reports yesterday of a few fans saying "they didn't think Spamalot did all that much for him, career wise." After reading this little blog mention, I would say it succeeded. IMO if ONE person changed their opinion about Clay Aiken, it was successful. And I think more than ONE person has done so.... He's so silly. It took me a minute to come to luckiest's conclusion about what exactly he's talking about though....hee. Yes, I'm really looking forward to WINY. I was thinking that was originally rumored to be recorded for MOAM, though. Are you saying, jmh, that you thought IYDKMBY was also possibly recorded in that time frame? God, he LOVES to mess with us...and I LOVE that he loves to mess with us... Yep. I think he really enjoys playing with his fandom's heads frequently. If I knew him in real life, I'd probably tell him to knock it off. Since he's just my pretend boyfriend, I find it charming and irresistible and funny. So, if this is possibly FBM....OMG. That means there's been more immaculate conceptions!
  13. You mean I've been practically sitting on my cell phone all night tonight, waiting from a phone call from Miss Couchie -- and she calls you? Someone she saw earlier in the day? WAH!!!! She's going to hear it from me! OTOH, I think she's planning on calling me tomorrow after the Broadway Cares event.... This sounds so fantastically funny. I remember when I saw the show a month ago -- about the time he started being fascinated by the pretty stuff on his staff (muski...that's for you....). Found out later that was the first weekend he did that. Now he's added braiding the ribbons, and that sounds like a great touch. Glad your lurker friend got her picture with Clay! And have fun at QVC tomorrow! I have the ordering information all ready to go... laljeterfan -- woohoo! I was pleased to read about your son and his friend....accepted Clay. *g* annabear, it will be OK....I'd love to hear your recap!
  14. I don't think so, KarenEh! From the CH: Evidently, the first number is for the inital allotment of CDs that QVC has available for immediate shipment. The second number is for if and when the CD sells out. A second shipment will go out on May 17. ETA: the Spamalot sheet music went for $5700 -- the same person who got the cast dinner. BTW, I've read that she had the dinner last night; blinds were closed at Sardi's plus a bus in front of the place for privacy purposes. Finally, I guess the walk on part winner was during today's show. ClaysFayevorite at CV wrote:
  15. Crap! I forgot to EEEEEEEEEEEEEE for couchie and all her friends in NYC!!!! She gets to see Clay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Give everyone there a hug from me!
  16. Spent the day with my Mom yesterday. It was my Mom's 87th birthday on Friday, so it was just me and her. Her request from me for a birthday present for me to work up some of the pieces I played on piano when I was in high school, and so I did and gave her a private mini-concert. I hardly ever touch the piano anymore (which is probably a bad idea), but it was fun to do, and I was pleased that I could pull out a Chopin prelude and play it pretty well! Anyway, we had a great time just talking and such. On the car trip to visit her, I pulled out MOAM and ATDW. Blast from the past. Loved every minute of it. On the car trip back, I listened to the Merrillville CITH show. Loved every minute of that too. And to think...in just over 8 days *pets pretty countdown clock*, we'll have new music in our hands. That I will love every minute of (probably). Don't have any backyard pictures, but I do have a picture of my house. I'm sure I posted it before....this was the day I was SUPPOSED to go to Waukegan for the Christmas 2006 show. Instead....well, you can see... We could probably fit another of our house in our "technical" back yard, and that's about it. However, you can see that we have a nice wooded area behind our house (not our property, sadly). It allows us to watch nature very nicely. I think I'm somewhere between second and third base as far as my virginal status goes. I did listen to the Amazon clips -- maybe 3 or 4 times tops. At this point, though, I'm back to reclaiming my virginity. If I remember correctly, I did the same thing with ATDW as well. I'm expecting the full album to be leaked sometimes this week -- and in that case, I will refuse. Actually, I'm much more interested in seeing the booklet that comes with the album. That I will study thoroughly! I think a good idea for that is to post a link to pictures of it -- that way, those not interested right away can skip the link.
  17. This is soooooo pretty.... Love the backyard pictures too. I don't have a large backyard, but it sits next to some wooded areas, so it really is quite pretty too. I'm off to my Mom's today. Ya'll be good! {{{{{{{FCA}}}}} Every.single.one.of.us. ETA: via the CH, recaps from last night. I'll be waiting for a few people to show up here....*taps foot impatiently* "The Very Handsome Sir Clay of Aiken." Can we use that as a thread title just for next week (his last week in the show, sob)?
  18. Billboard 6 Questions with Clay Aiken Reuters picked up this story and it has now be spread to many different markets.
  19. Bringing this over from the CH. Looks like there's not a public link online? Billboard 6 Questions with Clay Aiken
  20. Maybe it WAS his MO -- but it also gave us a lot of gushing about the music from Billy too. Maybe I shouldn't overlook the fact that he might have been fishing, but I can do it easily because of almost everything else in that interview. I think it's all in how we choose to look at it. I feel the same way about the LKL interview in 2006 -- there was a LOT of focus on the "question," by fans and non-fans alike. However, I'm willing to look past it, because the rest of the interview was thoroughly charming by Clay. Yes, laughn, you're right in that I was being "kind." I just couldn't think of a good way to put the rest of it -- but you did it for me. Horrified. Titillated. Yep, those were words I should have used as well. It's sad, but I think it's true. :F_05BL17blowkiss: to annabear. She was a sweetheart and got me an autographed Playbill last week, and it came in the mail today! Hope you feel better! muski's daughter rocks. Her mom ain't bad either.
  21. And here's my feeling about it being "sliced and diced all over the net:" So. What. Do I like Clay being questioned about these things? Oh hell no. I think it's stupid and an invasion of privacy. But as I said earlier, I DO think there is many people are just simply CURIOUS about this kind of thing, and it's not just about Clay either. Some people are just curious about things they don't understand. Again, I don't have to like that he's being asked the question, but if you actually read the blurb (and yes there will be some that won't...but there will be some that WILL), I think Clay will impress those people with his concise answers. And for those people who don't read the answers...unfortunately, it's just their loss. Oh, and for those people who really just don't care, well, IMO, they probably just don't care. *g* JMO as well.
  22. OT, but I thought of KAndre when I saw this: Dance Kitty Cat Dance!
  23. Well crap CG. I was going to post for you that if you wanted to hear the interview without hearing the songs, skip from the 4:00 to 7:52 minute mark, and again from 9:00 to 9:43 mark. (All you other truly virginal types, this will help you stay that way. *g*) But if you don't want to know what HE feels the song The Real Me is about -- well, I think I'd just not listen to it at all. Sorry.
  24. OK, quick break in the action before going to another class. Yes, CG, you can't listen to the interview if you want to stay virginal. I agree with djs and Iseeme about the continual insistence of "the question." But, IMO, that suggests that people cannot get over obsessions with that kind of thing (and since I've seen other "obsessions" before in this fandom [/snerk] I'm not real surprised by it). To me, sexuality is a fascinating topic to so many because we're not really a free and open society about it. But that's another topic for another time. Anyway, I have no real problems with Clay going on Leno or Ferguson or anyone else like that. Again, I think all of us are a bit two-faced from time to time, so I'm not going to cast a stone. Also, I wonder if this interview makes a few people unhappy, just because they were thinking that after ATDW, the question would never be brought up again. "Oh good, got all that damn mess out of the way the last time, this time will just focus on the music." As much as I don't like it, I truly believe he'll never dodge the question. I don't think Clay likes it either...and that's one of the reasons why he gives his response as "none of your beeswax." Anyway, publicity can't be manipulated as much as I think some would like it to be. In the meantime, Clay is a smart man, and he handles himself well in almost any kind of situation. I'm not worried. {{{{pkmiller}}}}}
