  1. umm, *cough* what is it? Cool! Someone reads my posts! Hee. The new X-Files movie is called, "I Want to Believe." Good old Mulder and his conspiracy theory poster. Gotta love him. OMG...Yes!!! (tm Meg Ryan) Sigh. Love Don Henley, it would be a dream for me to hear him sing either of those songs. Actually, the one I'd love for him to sing is "Taking You Home." Three of my favorite singers/musicians are Bono, Sting, and Don Henley. All three are very smart men, and very socially conscious. Clay has sung songs by two of the three; for him to do a Henley song, I'd be in heaven. Cotton, this has to do with the text messages that Clay keeps sending most of us wenches. Today's text message had us call him, and then he asked us to tell him what songs we want him to sing. If you need more info, I'll try to find the post for you. CG, I'll get back to you on the dates for the different orders. I think the WalMart one is available for pre-order now. If I remember correctly, the iTunes pre-order starts next Monday. There's also an Amazon download of the single, but I can't remember the date. And then, the QVC thing on the 28th. Which you know nothing about. *g*
  2. Um, yeah. You need to call. Now. (I like that request too....) Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Opening May 22, 2008. I cannot wait. Harrison Ford still rocks my socks. And I'm incredibly pleased that Karen Allen (Marion) is back. Oh, and Cate Blanchett is the villan. She should be good. Any X-Files fans here? We found out the name of the new movie (July 25) today! EEEEEEEE! Ok, back to Clay. He's CUTE. And in 19 days, new music!
  3. Ah, yes. Thank you laughn. That wasn't my most favorite look, but I did like that hat. I love a man in a fedora. BTW, just over a month until the new Indiana Jones movie. *g*
  4. I'm not the one that goes into palpitations when it reaches 75 if there's no poll up... Touche! (Not "Touch" CG, OK?!?!?! *g*) Good Lord, if we did that last one, we'd be creating a new thread every 5 minutes. Ya know....I think maybe you should do that couchie. That's your baby. *g* Heh. I'm not even sure if I know what picture you're talking about with this. Sad, I guess. Is anyone here brave enough to post it and refresh my memory? (Maybe it's not in my memory because I didn't like it either?) BWAH! And ITA...love that song, and think he'd do a fantastic version of it. I find it rather funny that he's ASKING us which song "we" want him to sing...considering that most of those will be covers. *g*
  5. Freckles, we usually let our threads get to approximately 80 pages in length and then create a new thread. I usually try to put up a poll with the suggested titles when we hit page 75 or so. Why 80 pages? Well, that's a leftover from the admin's days at the CH. Maybe the admins need to have a powwow to change this. *g* Our threads, at the moment, seem to last about 2 weeks or so. (Our first thread, though, was started in July 2005 -- and ended in March 2006. We've come a LONG WAY BAYBE!) If you find a phrase that you want to suggest....generally quoting it and saying "thread title?" will work. We do also have a thread title suggestion thread, located here. Geez, I love showing the newbies the ropes of this place.
  6. Am I a bad fan, 'cause I suggest he sing a cover song? (In my case, "Don't Dream It's Over" by Crowded House) *g* And I DID read the lyrics above...and I think this sounds like a great Clay Aiken song.
  7. Some of these guys for OMWH being on AOL's top music for the week: :ole0: As for what YSRN posted above.... *sticks fingers in ears and goes "la la la"* Listening to OMWH (the song) is enough for me. I can make it *scrolls up to look at countdown clock* 19 days until I hear the entire album. Besides, I just don't want to pre-judge the songs based on other recordings. I'll wait for Clay. Didn't he say it was more special to wait?
  8. from LMD12 at the CB (via getclayaiken): Link to her picture in the CB thread *hugs jamar who is at work* Sorry to hear about your computer woes duckyvee.
  9. Heh. And we don't mean FearofH2O either. Still loving the picture idea. What a great way to raise money! I'll bet there won't be a stage door for the next few weeks though.
  10. I'd love to do an FCA team, and I'm with couchie -- Ansa can run the thing! *g* WHEEEEE for Scarlett!!! I wuv you. OK, a conflicting report on what else can be bought to help raise money (bottle, you may need more money in your paypal): Via canuck at CV: She also said that they accepted cash, credit cards and personal cheques. the polaroid picture was inserted into an already autographed card.
  11. Oh wow....what a great way to raise funds. I hope that they get a buttload of money from this.... And dang, I would have done that in a heartbeat. Dang.
  12. This came through to me via stuffonmycat.com, and I've never laughed so hard in my life. Maybe I laughed so hard because I know quite a few engineers.
  13. Thanks gdg! However, I'm talking the InsiderOnline piece. It showed up on April 8, if I remember correctly. Should be about a minute and a half in length. Aha! The link is here! As far as I know, it hasn't made the vaults yet...and I don't have a CV key.
  14. Hey Freckles700 -- welcome! I hope you join us in the forum "Let's Talk About Clay." Our thread title at the moment (about ready to start a new one) is called "EEEEEEEEE! It's Really Happening!" We do use the linear style of thread here, but just jump in if you get a chance! We don't bite (or I don't think we do, heh).
  15. kf, I was going to say that as well, but I really didn't want to be thought of as a MAJOR party pooper. *g* Backtracking a bit: Wheeeeeeeeeee! This is great! Thanks for linking it! Someone MUST rip this!!! xxx4Clay ripped it. Download here. It's also been added to the usual vaults. I don't think that's the same clip. The one from xxx4Clay is from broadwayworld.com, and is one of the scheduled webisodes. The one I think luckiest is looking for (and I am too) is the Planet Hollywood clip from broadway.com that liney found yesterday. As far as that goes, I've yet to see the Insider Planet Hollywood clip vaulted anywhere. If anyone has any leads on these two clips, I'd appreciate it!
  16. Sorry to burst your bubbles guys, but May 26 is Memorial Day, and I don't think ANY of the NYC talk shows tape that day (Dave, Jon or Stephen). As I said, I personally want him on Jon's show, but I'm hoping for May 5. *g*
  17. HOLY CRAPALOT (BWAH!!!) is right! Wow. Think us FCA members could raise enough money to go in on something and share it? I mean, really -- Sardi's could hold the entire lot of us plus the cast of Spamalot, right?
  18. I am probably talking out of my butt here (I do not fart in your general directions, though *g*), but I'm still one to believe that him just appearing on a show sells albums. I think his personality is so winning and charming that he just oozes a "buy me" thing. (Heck, I'd buy him....but I'm poor...). So, I see the Tyra appearance, even without singing, as a good thing. But as I said, I know nuthin'. And I'm also selfish, because I'll see Clay on my TV regardless. My dream appearance for him this go around is still The Daily Show on Monday, May 5. I would LOVE to hear Jon Stewart and Clay Aiken talk about politics. And -- Jon doesn't do it frequently, but he has had musical guests on his show. But again, I know nuthin'.
  19. Damn, forgot to welcome jamar back too! *waves* ETA: from the CH:
  20. laughn, your recap was fantastic! I love that you got some different viewpoints on the stage, and ITA with you on the entire cast. My favorite lines in your recap, though, are these: :cryingwlaughter: As for "That's Clay Aiken?," I totally see what couchie is saying. The way some seem to be repeating it, there's an air desperation there...as if by magically repeating it and then clicking their heels three times, Clay will turn into a rocker. Sorry -- IMO, that ain't gonna happen. Now, if people who don't normally follow Clay start saying, I'll be perfectly fine with it. *g* And of course -- none of us have heard the album yet. Who knows? Maybe some of US will be saying "THAT'S Clay Aiken?" Hee. I also kind of think "THAT'S Clay Aiken" doesn't quite work with pictures of him, because he changes his look every 5 minutes.
  21. Oh wow. That's fantastic. The more he changes, the more he stays the same. Even with eye-boinks. I hope you have a fantastic time! And thanks for the QVC info tied to the TV Guide thing. That definitely was NOT there this morning! Iseeme -- welcome!!!!!
  22. Hey Iseeme! Welcome! Love your screen name, I knew exactly where that came from. I was so very sorry to hear about Char, I can't imagine what simplyclay is going through at the moment. Anyway, I hope you enjoy your time here.....welcome.
  23. liney -- good find! I don't think that's been posted anywhere else. I knew it -- in this interview, he specifically mentions the difference between "dancing" and "choreography." He now claims he can do choreography, but he's still not "dancing." Heh. I'm not surprised.
