  1. I don't think the feet, and other corresponding body parts, are big enough...
  2. It's an early one tonight! WOOHOO!!!!! :Tour3:
  3. Posthoing....found by CAP at CV, an article for tonight's show from The Oakland Press: Interesting that he's talking about boxes... I love him so very much. (I like being schmoopie too institches....but I think you knew that....)
  4. OMG, how could I forget that lickiest1 and crew were going tonight?!?!? Have fun ladies!!! :Tour3: :TourExcite: :Tour3: :TourExcite: :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  5. This ALWAYS needs to be repeated....hope you and laughn have another wonderful concert this evening! Yeah that YSRN. I'm in for this too. Living in the here and now is much more fun for me than living in the past. This is masterful, and a wonderful analogy! I think what I need to keep reminding myself is that while I truly believe he'll get his new bike, it may not STILL be on the timeframe for Clay's (or my) liking. It's always felt to me that people want him to get everything in his career RIGHT NOW, and I just can't buy that. His next bike may have more new parts, but it still may have a banana seat instead of a comfy new seat. If he gets the shiny new bike on his next go-around, I'll be thrilled along with Clay. If he gets that one with mostly new parts -- I'll still be thrilled for him. That's pretty much the nature of my fandom -- to be thrilled by Clay. I know I'm easy like that....and I honestly don't see that as a problem.
  6. Geez, I haven't been in here for a while either.... Greetings to Savonnette and Philly! Philly, thanks for posting the picture of the M&G pass -- I'm deathly in love with that picture. Wish I had one of my own. *sob*
  7. couchie, this makes total sense to me...and it's something I've been saying in this fandom for a LONG time. It took me a while to realize this, but it is amazing how much learning goes on during rough times, or when someone makes a mistake. I think Clay knows this and these past few years have been an incredibly learning experience for him -- good or bad. And I've been known to be rather frustrated at some in the fandom for wanting everything PERFECT for him, when in fact it would be better for him to have a few stumbling blocks from time to time IMO. Just one of my bugaboos... As far as this latest "news" goes -- it sounds to me that most people here are saying approximately the same thing with minor variations. Clay had recorded material, something happened that it didn't pass muster, and then Clay had a choice. At this point for me, I'm at the point where I can't even think about speculating what happened IN THE PAST. I'm just incredibly happy that I have ATDW in my hands (still love listening to the entire album almost every day), and will look forward to whatever Clay comes up with next...however long it takes. One other thing : ITA that we all are using our filters with what is being reported at the M&Gs. I tend to go along with lickiest1 in that I think at least some of the pod theories are being shot down....but at the same time, my filters are getting reshifted with what's being reported. Some of these stories (such as BFM being not a favorite) really threw me for a loop as well. You know what? That's OK. It may be discomforting a bit for me, but that's part of the learning curve. It was a great report. She did a fantastic job. If you're lurking anntherese -- thanks!
  8. Cool blog post about last night's show from a "dragged" husband, found by notacanuck at the CH:
  9. laughn, this really cracked me up. I love the way Clay and Jerome can pick on each other in such a familiar way. Thank you for the great recap, especially about the crowd. I would have loved to have seen all the drunked guys being won over actually -- that's my kind of crowd! Hee.
  10. jamar, sounds like your library had it's HP party planned quite, quite well. Good job! To reward yourself, go watch some clack -- and then get some sleep! Oh, and give DD a hug from me. This is one of those instance where you could see the joke coming from a mile away...and yet I still Hee. Congrats to muskidaughter!!!! playbiller, thanks for providing a link to that review. I think "pop" shows, as a general rule, tend to be reviewed badly because most "pop" shows aren't "cool." Therefore, I think this review came out pretty darn well. You're right! I remember when this venue was announced, and the librarian in me was saying "CAS? The Science Publishers?" So I had to check it out. I probably should have tried my best to get there just because of that location! Hee. Aw, c'mon....what's a little embarrassment between family and friends, right? [/jk] Actually, I understand totally. HEE! Isn't it the most amazing feeling in the world? Unfortunately, it's very addictive. I've got the credit card bills to prove it. :F_05BL17blowkiss: Jesse! I just watched the pre-WISYS clack, and it is comedy gold, as usual. Picking on Ethel, picking on drunk guys, picking on late-comers, picking on people who didn't buy tickets -- in other words, a typical Clay Aiken show. Gotta love it. MWAH institches! I know what you mean about the ulcers, but I think I'm better now that I'm here.
  11. The Columbus Dispatch Aiken's Appearance Thrills Female Crowd The article was revised on July 23, with the change of title ("Singer's Fans Ready to Cheer"), and the addition of a paragraph at the end....
  12. Very cool bottlecap about the poster. It confirms my theory, though, that they 3000 posters per venue, not total. Either way, still very cool. And I'm glad you had a faboo time. Please tell us more...especially about the jeans and how they fit on the thighs. (Forget the butt, I'm in love with the thighs....) But I do want to see him wiggle his butt too....after church maybe?
  13. I'm going to miss at least the first half of this show tonight due to hubby time. Obviously, bottlecap is at the show. Who will cover the CV cellstream? See y'all later, hopefully.
  14. Heh...I was just going to come in here and recommend the same two clips. The entrance of his during HYCA, in front of the pipe from that massive pipe organ, really is thrilling. (BONUS: at the beginning of the clip, jojoct scans the crowd, and I managed to find lickiest1 and her daughter in the second row!) And that BYLM has some pretty, pretty close-ups during the second verse. Yummy. (And I've always loved that song, so for him to dedicate it to MEEEE as a fan makes me schmoopie.) CG, are you looking for stunning vocals? Silly humor? Or eyef***s? That would help to know this. I tend to go for the "silly humor," so most of my downloads have been of the two medleys. *scurries off to download*
  15. I've finally got a bit of time here -- just finished trimming the shrubbery on this beautiful day, and will post now before I start in with my library's copy of Harry Potter. *g* ITA with all of this, and I'd even take it a step further with the next album -- that the process will probably not go totally his way either. Sure, he's learned and gotten some more experience, but I feel that there will still be bumps in the road for him during the process for this new CD, and the CD after, and the CD after...and so on, and so on, and scooby dooby dooby. It's part of continuous learning -- something that really never goes away for any of us. Just because he's CLAY AIKEN, SUPERSTAR, doesn't mean these things will stop happening to him. He's human, he'll keep learning and growing and changing, even when he's 80 years old and still making music! I've been meaning to comment on this all day cuz it reminded me of the BFM comment Clay made. It's a very good point... Ya know BFM was TWO YEARS AGO... it feels like yesterday, doesn't it? Maybe he liked it then and now he's all meh, does nothing for me partly because he's over it. It's not very uplifting, but I do like the song. This is a very astute observation, and I wonder if ATD doesn't also fit that pattern as well. I know I get bored easily with some things, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is true.... Curious. Very curious. CG, close your ears....but YAY! Not a big Touch fan either. Shine took me a bit to warm up to, but I really like it now. Cool, I could share a bed with him then. *g* Clay -- can I read it to you? Please? I'd make it not-so-boring. We can even act out the Hogwarts Strip Poker sequence. Don't tell Clay there isn't such a scene, OK? They were at my house growing up too. Same with hamburger buns. Both things put on a couple slices of soft white bread. Crabcakes with sauce? Yuck, but whatever. I've not had them that much anyway....since I live in the land of "no crabs." Just 'cause. *g* I volunteer my house for this concert (even though I said I don't like Touch in particular, I'm not STUPID, you know...) He's such a....a....guy. Love him when he's really just being HIM. Or as laughn said.... "I'll let you whip me if I misbehave..." :eusa_whistle: Clay's bus mates forced him to ride to Chautaqua in the luggage compartment because they were tired of watching him itch his re-growing arm and leg hair? A pick-up basketball game with the violin section got out of hand? [Maybe Clay was on the "Skins" team... ] The trummy gets a workout....yum... :F_05BL17blowkiss: to all of you, non-pods and pods alike! And KAndre, that color looks really good on you....
  16. The Syracuse Post-Standard Decent Set with SSO Thrills 'Claymates"
  17. :F_05BL17blowkiss: to lickiest1 for her wonderful recaps. I'm so glad you had a fantastic time! EEEEEEEEEEEe for bottlecap and laughn today! :Tour3: YSRN, what an adorable dog. Funny you mention foxy, because s/he looks like its got some fox in it. OK, back to bed.....
  18. I was wondering if he would mention Harry Potter tonight -- SEAN HAS IT ALREADY!!! That little cuss! play, if it helps, I paid for my cellstream on June 3 from the CH, so your receipt should be in that time frame.
  19. So much love given for LAA. He really blows them out of the water with this.
  20. It sounds like this is a very loose concert, both by Clay and the crowd. Sad to read about the flashers though.
  21. This schtick, about him being cool, sounds priceless! I wuv him so very much!
  22. At this point, kick MOAM to the curb. He WAILED on WY, and the crowd knows it. Good Lord, that gave me chills from a crappy sounding cellcert. Asked a lady in the front row with binoculars if he had a hair on his face. Why yes, dude -- it's known as stubble. He's made the orchestra stand up, and the crowd gave them a standing ovation!
  23. And the crowd goes WILD for MOAM. Justifiably, of course. couchie, I was like that for IWCY -- didn't care for it, and then one bad work day/night I played over and over again and it really helped. Now I love the song. WY -- another fantastic showcase for his voice. *sigh*
  24. God, that last note on that song is sublime, isn't it?
  25. Here it is... Much better.... Time for Sorry. Wish I could hear this better. Another time underwater. Oh well, not the fault of the cellcerters.
