  1. Sheesh, the Guidos are not going to be able to make that up. I could be totally wrong, but I think they are goners at this point.
  2. I cannot imagine being the Guidos or Eric and Danielle -- traveling tired like that would make me really crankly. Ooh, they are going to Auschwitz. That should be very sad. Well, now we know why the two hour episode -- another leg of one team starting when others are still out on the previous leg. When will the Schmirnas realize that they don't need to talk in accents? Grrrrr.
  3. You're right....no road block. I think your suggestion is probably correct in that they need to come up with a BIG equalizer again. The logistics for the way the show has panned out this season have to be a nightmare (not that they aren't anyway, but more so this time).
  4. Yeah, Mirna and Schmirna are being very annoying tonight. They are very much the persona of "the Ugly American" tonight. Love the piano tuning challenge. That's a neat thing. Wow...the BQ's won this leg -- but the show is two hours tonight....what's going on? Or will it be two one-hour episodes back to back? Still love the Cha Cha's. Mirna and Schmirna have tin ears. That is all.
  5. 16 hours difference between first and last? Wow. There's a time difference. Sheesh. Eric and Danielle seem to have bad luck with flights, don't they? First they get thrown off a flight, then an airline won't bring back the flight to allow them on, even if the flight is still on the ground. What was taking so long with that one travel agent? I didn't get that....
  6. See! bottlecap I had NO worries about this board and being shallow and stuff -- just because ya'll hadn't seen the clack. Now we're back to talking in indistinguishable syllables, such as "guh" and "gah" and "Good God in Heaven, is the man hawt or what?" OK, so maybe that last one was just me. And yes, if I had been there, I would have been calling my bank for a loan. Collateral would have been my husband. *g*
  7. I too loved KLo, and still do. She's still got that great husky voice...it's just wasted on the songs she got (and seems to be getting). *sigh* Y'all HAVE to see the auction clips. The Invisible one is hysterical -- the puppy dog eyes, the taunting and teasing to get someone to bid higer....fantastic. And if anyone knows how to make a gif of him doing the thumbs up, I'd be mucho appreciado. Or of him doing the puppy dog eyes. Or hell, any gif from these clips. EXCUSE THE SHOUTING, BUT HE'S FREAKIN' ADORABLE! The beard works now that I've seen it in action. Behind the facial hair, it's still Clay. Damn him for being so cute.
  8. Clack Unlimited has two pieces uploaded from the auction last night. If you have a key to the CV or CH vault, though -- please use them first! Off to watch
  9. So fresh, so clean.... BWAH!!!!! Why Clay, it looks like you've got something stuck in your mouth. May I help you get that out? Hmmmm...I think my tongue would be the best tool for the job. No, it's no trouble....let me help. THANK YOU for this wonderful recap, and this paragraph in particular. It sure sounds like he knew that everyone in the room was there to experience him....and that's awesome. I'm so happy for you that you got to experience it live. Meanwhile, I'm opening a "Jealous as hell" car for the Clay train -- I'll be your conductor. CG (or should I call you Gazzy???), I totally agree with this assessment, and yes, it makes me totally sad too. This combination of "personal" and "uncomfortable with songwriting abilities" is one that probably weighs a bit on him -- "I opened up to my fans, and yes, they love it -- but I'd really rather not revisit that feeling when I wrote that, thank you." Working through that, in a public way like that, has got to be hard. So, I'm guessing we need to thank Jaymes, and maybe even Clive (GASP!) for us even hearing LAA in the first place. Amen. Wow, I just finished listening to the clack from last night. Ansa, I'm sorry, but what are you ON?!?!? :F_05BL17blowkiss: I think "The Prayer" is fantastic, and their voices blend so well. Quiana has a great lower register, IMO, and Clay knows how to play off that with his voice. The blend is fantastic. I'm also not totally convinced that the song would work as a solo. But that's just me. Bingo!!!! I think there is fabulous synergy between him and the Fosters, and I think they all know it. What I don't understand is the thinking that Clay will turn out as a "rock star" because of the connection, according to some fans. After listening to that interview with David Foster a few months ago, I believe that he works with people he knows he can develop into even better singers, without compromising their beliefs in what works for them. As I said, great synergy, but I don't think there's going to be all that much swerving. Yeah, except that I have a non-refundable ticket to Houston. I'm pretty much stuck with MY plans. What I'm hoping for though, is this -- he plays Oklahoma July 8 or 9, and I'd just have to miss that one. But then he keeps driving east and hits the midwest in some of those "missing days" -- when I can take more time off and drive rather than fly. PLEASE!?!?!?!?!??! And yes, just say no to OK being the first show Clay!!!!!!!!!! Just for me, PLEASE?!?!?!? cha cha, I've always loved "weatherman Clay." That was such a fun clip. couchie you are so smart: That's how I see it too.
  10. Finally caught up with this episode this morning....and WOW. First of all, Jenna, thank you for letting me know that there's someone out there besides me who is not all gaga over Sawyer. Having said that, he wasn't an asshole in this episode, and I've got to disagree with you in the fact that I found this episode fascinating. I was really impressed with how they reminded the viewers of the recent history of the people on the island. Old faces week at Lost, which I thought was rather interesting. I also liked the fact that almost everyone had something to do in this episode, or at least we saw almost everyone. And that ending freaked me out. Gulp.
  11. I go too!!!!!!! Ansa, the irony is, when we first found out about his association with Jaymes, people were up in arms that if Clay got involved with DF he wouldn't be a "rocker". Now they are talking up DF as if he will be the one who finally lets Clay's inner rocker out for all to see! Yes, it's confusing isn't it? Rocker? Not a rocker? How about a lounge chair instead? OK, I'm leaving....
  12. No, she's doesn't know the name of the lady. Everyone who won an auction got a hug and a kiss!!! Lucky beyotches! Bangs, full beard, dark suit, auction took off the jacket which showed his wastecoat vest. Lots of mugging and joking -- hugging the WT shirt. Mostly fans in the audience. Not everybody obeyed the "no video" rule, jmh thinks. And she enjoyed meeting luckiest1 and daughter and friend, and cindilu2! She's now going to go home, change clothes, check the boards, and fall into bed!
  13. Isn't Jesse playing the piano? To hear this with just a piano live would be awesome.... YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!
  14. The Prayer, by David Foster and Carole Bayer Sager: Yep, Foster's gonna make him a rocker.
  15. I'm not familiar with this song, even though I know Clay has mentioned it before. Where is it from? Go QUIANA!!!!!
  16. One of my favorit for JBT...now this is an interesting choice... I agree....maybe we WILL get LAA after all? But what's with the laughter during the song?
  17. Sounds like it -- I bet that will be after the Texas shows. What is this song? I can't hear him.... Ah, there we go, I recognize it now.... *sigh*
  18. Door prizes? How cool is that? Or is this more of the silent auction stuff?
  19. Ladies, ladies, ladies -- don't forget that the last word of "Team Clay" OK? $20 some thousand. This is an amazing night for the BAF.
