  1. Heh. The one from the front looks just "wrong" to me somehow. I guess in my mind the JBT = short, spiky hair. But the picture from the back...whoa momma. Ass and hair. Mighty fine combination. *g* JBT2? Sounds like a LOT of fun to me. I just ask for a live version of HYCA. I'm pretty simple that way.
  2. What....are you expecting to be tripped up by the grannies with their walkers racing to get to the front, or blinded by the boobs of the young fans, also fighting their way to the front? You know, I think I just come to expect this anymore. Yes, it does make planning hard, I'll grant that. But so many of the Clay Aiken fans figure out a way to attend, no matter the juggling of schedules and such. I've just learned to deal with this, I guess. I do wonder if this actually may be one of the LAST stops of the tour, rather than the first.... Give me a T! Give me an O! Give me a U! Give me an R! What's that spell? TOUR!!!!
  3. There are days when emoticons come in REAL handy. Today is one of them. :laola0: :nana: As for bottlecap's question....I think we should start a pool. I'll take 2:23 p.m. CST this afternoon. roseviolet, that's a great idea. I went to a pre-concert party a few years ago, and someone had created a 3 CD set with exactly that concept as prizes for the contests. She started with a few of the demos, but mostly with Clay's AI covers, and the set went all the way through the NAT. I thought about trying to continue the set with the JBT covers, but never got around to it. And then, with ATDW, this would turn out to be a 5 CD set at least!
  4. Well...that was a good way to wake up this morning. I just knew Clay was working out for a reason.... *g* *tries to staple strummer to the board, except that the stapler got jammed*
  5. I'm back....and boy am I tired!!! 2 1/2 hours in a car, 6 hour class (fortunately, it included lunch), and then 2 1/2 hours home again. Did the country music thing on the way up -- Dixie Chicks and Brad Paisley. Did the Clay thing on the way back -- one of my mix CD's that I hadn't listened to in ages (BFM had me pumping my fist all over again, ICMYLM made me swooning all over again), and then ATDW. At this point I'm waiting for hubby to get home from working out and then we're going out for dinner. I'm too pooped to cook. Woke up two mornings ago to the sound of the original BW from my clock radio. This morning, it was the original BYLM. Man, Clay really does spoil you....but I'm with muski that I'd love to have him tackle the entire Hall & Oates catalog. Think he'd do "Rich Girl," though? *g* Glad to see the teefie discussion is still going on. (Blows raspberries at luckiest1...I know he's a man, but I still think the word is cute....) Also, thanks for not texting me today. I think. CLAAAAAAAAAAY! Where are you? *g* Hugs to muski and diva for missing their husbands. Kvetching is always good.
  6. That's the FIRST picture in a long time where I can actually kinda sorta see what you're all talking about! Hee. Do we need to hold a "12 Stages of Grief" workshop for those who are missing the chiclet teefies? :medium-smiley-070: (BTW, djs....I love the words toofies and teefies too...heh) But I'm missing the hair, especially the bangs. I was watching promo for the album clack (yes, there was promo for the album...Clive wasn't entirely successful in holding Clay back :medium-smiley-070: ) over the weekend, such as the Martha show. It really hit me how much that hair was so cute on him. I actually had twinges of sadness. Ah, I'm over it now. I just know that Clay's such a chameleon, and I truly love that about him. One of the ways he can surprise us so much. I'm gone all day today to a workshop. Boo hiss. But maybe, me being gone will be the impetus for Clay to blog, or for Clay to announce tour dates!
  7. Rhetorical question, right? I'm sure everyone here would say that we've been good....v.v. goofy (in a fantastic way), but good too. Quick, everyone stop dancing.... :00000441: couchie is back!
  8. cough*Scheming Fame-whore and closet Clive-lover*cough And of course this means that djs is going on tour with Cookie and Ethel in the Claymobile v.v. soon!
  9. That'll teach you to buy your decoder ring at WalMart. I either purchase from Target, or else I order online at www.decorderringsfordecodingRCAsecretmessages.com. (You get a better deal if you buy from Target, though. The shipping costs for purchasing online are YUGE....) {{{{HUGS}}}}}} I wish I could answer your questions for you, but I can't. But then, I've said it before, that I'm terrible at noticing things like that, and honestly cannot see what you're talking about. I don't mean that as a "I'm right, you're wrong" thing -- I just am massively unobservant. So maybe what I need as well is the answers to your question. BTW, I do love your emoticon dreamlarge..... Well shoot -- I was using Usenet way back when you have to use paper and the Pony Express to send your messages. Was I using it wrong? As far as the retirement plan goes...does this mean I can retire as a Clay Aiken fan and get money for life? Because, if I can, I'll retire. I don't wanna work anymore. (Can you tell I'm having a bad day at the office?) Can 200 year-old-women knit? Quick -- does anyone know CPR? Maybe if a handsome redhead (or whatever the hell haircolor he is this week) does it, it might help!
  10. Happy birthday rcknrllmom!!!!! :00003653: :04: Topic: Wonder if Clay will blog about Jennifer Hudson's win last night....*g*
  11. Well, that's it for me...gotta get to bed. Thanks ladies, it's been a great evening!
  12. The top two acting awards were predictable. But I'm really liking the touching speech from Forest Whittaker. He's such a good actor. I'm not sure if I want to see that movie though..... Gee, with "the three amigos" presenting, this seems like a set up for Scorsese to win. We'll see. Yes, he won! About damn time, and I'm not even that fond of his movies.
  13. YAY for Melissa! I'm amazed for her, considering that Dreamgirls had 3 nominations....but I'm extremely happy for her. She's so cool.
  14. Why yes, yes she is....but at least she'll look good doing it! *g* Great color for a dress. But I'm partial to red.
  15. I'm wondering if the way Little Miss Sunshine is going, it might win the Best Picture Oscar. If it did, I think that might be the first time that the Independent Spirit Award winner and the Oscar winner are the same picture. I think. Yes, I'm imagining Clay with Raleigh and Durham watching the Oscars, and snarking on practically everything.
  16. And, in a way, he may be of MORE good for this cause by NOT being President. He can pour his heart and soul into this one cause and get it off the ground, hopefully...because we'll need it!
  17. "Little Miss Sunshine" came out a few months ago on DVD. It's a strange little movie, but it has heart, and I loved it. YAY for "An Inconvenient Truth" -- I actually saw that one in the theater! My political statement of the year.
  18. ITA. I've not seen the film yet (although my husband tonight said "I think I'd like to see that," which means I should buy tickets soon), but I do think this was a role made for her. And at this point, I think the only thing she can do is go down. And then I'll say that this is probably the same things that others were saying about Clay a few years ago....
  19. Netflix is the best thing EVER! That's how I got to see Little Miss Sunshine, and I'm sure I'll see a few more of these films when they get released on DVD. I'll get The Queen that way, for sure.
  20. Thanks for the pretties jmh. But you know, the socks are definitely the fan's business. I mean, we know so much about socks. We wear them every day!
  21. It's a fantasy film -- in Spanish, no less. I've been told that it's fantastic. Pan's Labyrnth synopsis
  22. Only Ellen can get by with asking Steven Spielberg to take a picture of her with Clint Eastwood. I love it. In a weird way, I really like Gwynneth's dress. It fits her very well. Maybe in a different color?
  23. Heh. They actually let Tom Cruise in the building.
  24. Thanks for the Jennifer pictures. I think I like the SAG dress better.... Sing it Melissa....what a great survivor. Loved seeing her in concert so many years ago.... Woohoo Leo and Al! What a great pairing! And yes -- Clay at the Academy Awards, singing, would be fantastic. It will happen someday!
  25. Whoa....that's surprising! I bet Eddie's not happy right about now. But I loved Little Miss Sunshine, so this is not a bad thing for me either.
